Claims (8)
- リーンバーンエンジンの排気ガス管路に配置されている窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒を再生するための方法であって、エンジンをリーンな排気ガスを有するリーンバーン運転からリッチな排気ガスを有するリッチバーン運転に切り換えることで窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒を再生し、該再生が行われた後でリーンバーン運転に再度切り換えて、窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒を再生するため方法において、
リーンバーン運転への再度の切換えと共に、エンジンのこれによって生じたリーンな排気ガスが、吸蔵触媒に達するまで、吸蔵触媒の直ぐ手前に空気を排気ガスに吹き込み、これによりなおリッチな排気ガス組成を、化学量論的な組成またはリーンな組成へと短時間で移行することを特徴とする、窒素酸化物吸蔵触媒を再生するための方法。 - 排気ガスに吹き込まれる空気の量を、この結果生じるガス混合物が、1以上の空気過剰率λを有しているように設定する、請求項1記載の方法。
- 排気ガスに吹き込まれた空気の量を、この結果生じるガス混合物が、1と1,05との間の空気過剰率λを有しているように設定する、請求項2記載の方法。
- 必要な空気を二次空気ポンプ(5)によって提供し、弁(7)によって適切な時点および適切な量で排気ガスに混加する、請求項1記載の方法。
- 二次空気ポンプを連続的に運転する、請求項4記載の方法。
- 二次空気ポンプを、リッチバーン運転の終了直前で初めて開始し、排気ガスへの空気供給の終了後に再び停止する、請求項4記載の方法。
- 二次空気ポンプをリッチバーン運転の始まりと共に開始する、請求項4記載の方法。
- 二次空気ポンプが、空気を圧縮空気アキュムレータ(8)に供給し、該圧縮空気アキュムレータ(8)から空気供給のための空気を、弁(7)を介して取り出す、請求項4記載の方法。
