Description
[請求項1] 第1の金属成分からなる金属が、上記第1の金属成分とは異なる第2の金属成分の化合物に分散してなるスパッタリング用ターゲットを用いてスパッタリングすることにより、基板上に、上記第1の金属成分からなる金属部分と、上記第2の金属成分の化合物からなる金属化合物部分とが互いに混合分散する複合薄膜を形成し、次いで酸水溶液又はアルカリ水溶液により上記金属部分を溶解させることで上記複合薄膜中の上記金属部分のみを除去することにより、透明電極が形成された基板上に色素を吸着させた多孔質金属化合物薄膜が形成されてなる色素増感型太陽電池用半導体電極の上記多孔質金属化合物薄膜を形成することを特徴とする多孔質薄膜の形成方法。
[請求項2] 上記第1の金属成分がZn,Cr,Al,In,Sn,Sb,Cu,Si,Ag,Mn,Fe,Co,Cd,Ni,Zr,Nb,Mo,Hf,Ta,W及びMgからなる群より選ばれる1種、又はZn,Cr,Al,In,Sn,Sb,Cu,Si,Ag,Mn,Fe,Co,Cd,Ni,Zr,Nb,Mo,Hf,Ta,W及びMgからなる群より選ばれる2種以上からなる合金であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の多孔質薄膜の形成方法。
[請求項3] 上記第2の金属成分がTiであり、かつ上記化合物が酸化物であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の多孔質薄膜の形成方法。
[請求項4] 上記第1の金属成分及び第2の金属成分が、酸水溶液又はアルカリ水溶液中で複合薄膜中の金属部分のみを溶出させることができる組み合わせであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項記載の多孔質薄膜の形成方法。
本発明の多孔質薄膜の形成方法は、第1の金属成分からなる金属が、上記第1の金属成分とは異なる第2の金属成分の化合物に分散してなるスパッタリング用ターゲットを用いてスパッタリングすることにより、基板上に、第1の金属成分からなる金属部分と、第2の金属成分の化合物からなる金属化合物部分とが互いに混合分散する複合薄膜を形成し、次いで上記複合薄膜中の上記金属部分のみを除去することにより多孔質薄膜を形成するものである。
図1は本発明の色素増感型太陽電池の一実施形態を示す断面図である。図1においては、透明電極12が設けられた基板11の透明電極12上に、上述した多孔質薄膜の形成方法により成膜された例えば酸化チタンからなる多孔質金属酸化物薄膜に分光増感色素を吸着させた色素吸着金属酸化物半導体膜13が形成され、また、透明電極12と対向して対電極14が配設されており、更に、色素吸着金属酸化物半導体膜13と対極14との間に電解質(溶液)16が封入されて側面が封止材15により封止されている。
多孔質薄膜(太陽電池電極用金属化合物半導体薄膜)の形成
TiOx粉末とZn粉末(TiOxに対して30質量%)を乳鉢で十分に粉砕混合した後に、プレスにてターゲット形状に押し固めてTiOx/Zn混合ターゲットとした。
分光増感色素溶液として、3×10-4mol/lのシス−ジ(チオシアナト)−ビス(2,2’−ビピリジル−4−ジカルボキシレート−4’−テトラブチルアンモニウムカルボキシレート)ルテニウム(II)−エタノール溶液を調製し、この溶液に上記酸化チタンの多孔質薄膜を形成したフッ素ドープ酸化スズを被覆したガラス基板を、室温で18時間浸漬して、分光増感色素を吸着させて金属化合物半導体電極を得た。この分光増感色素の吸着量は、酸化チタンの多孔質薄膜の表面積1cm2あたり8.5μgであった。
上記金属化合物半導体電極を一方の電極とし、対電極としてフッ素をドープした酸化スズをコートし、更にその上に白金を担持した透明導電性ガラス板を用いた。2つの電極の間に電解質を入れ、この側面を樹脂で封止した後、リード線を取り付けて、太陽電池を得た。なお、電解質としては、アセトニトリルの溶媒にヨウ化リチウム、1,2−ジメチル−3−プロピルイミダゾリウムアイオダイド、ヨウ素及びt−ブチルピリジンを、それぞれの濃度が0.1mol/l、0.3mol/l、0.05mol/l、0.5mol/lとなるように溶解させたものを用いた。
多孔質薄膜(薄膜光触媒)の形成
TiOx粉末とZn粉末(TiOxに対して30質量%)を乳鉢で十分に粉砕混合した後に、プレスにてターゲット形状に押し固めてTiOx/Zn混合ターゲットとした。
上記酸化チタンの多孔質薄膜を形成したノンアルカリガラス基板を22mlアマランス(赤色顔料)溶液(3ml/l)中に浸漬し、250W超高圧水銀灯を照射(20分)して、その濃度変化を紫外−可視光度計で測定したところ、アマランスの分解率は85.3%と高い値であった。

Claims (4)
- 第1の金属成分からなる金属が、上記第1の金属成分とは異なる第2の金属成分の化合物に分散してなるスパッタリング用ターゲットを用いてスパッタリングすることにより、基板上に、上記第1の金属成分からなる金属部分と、上記第2の金属成分の化合物からなる金属化合物部分とが互いに混合分散する複合薄膜を形成し、次いで酸水溶液又はアルカリ水溶液により上記金属部分を溶解させることで上記複合薄膜中の上記金属部分のみを除去することにより、透明電極が形成された基板上に色素を吸着させた多孔質金属化合物薄膜が形成されてなる色素増感型太陽電池用半導体電極の上記多孔質金属化合物薄膜を形成することを特徴とする多孔質薄膜の形成方法。
- 上記第1の金属成分がZn,Cr,Al,In,Sn,Sb,Cu,Si,Ag,Mn,Fe,Co,Cd,Ni,Zr,Nb,Mo,Hf,Ta,W及びMgからなる群より選ばれる1種、又はZn,Cr,Al,In,Sn,Sb,Cu,Si,Ag,Mn,Fe,Co,Cd,Ni,Zr,Nb,Mo,Hf,Ta,W及びMgからなる群より選ばれる2種以上からなる合金であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の多孔質薄膜の形成方法。
- 上記第2の金属成分がTiであり、かつ上記化合物が酸化物であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の多孔質薄膜の形成方法。
- 上記第1の金属成分及び第2の金属成分が、酸水溶液又はアルカリ水溶液中で複合薄膜中の金属部分のみを溶出させることができる組み合わせであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項記載の多孔質薄膜の形成方法。
