Description
セラミックスの一体焼結体からなる基体であって、この基体の表面上で非平衡プラズマを発生させる基体、この基体中に埋設された電極、および基体に担持され、ガスの反応を促進する触媒粒子を備えており、基体が表面から電極へと向かって複数のセラミック層を備えており、基体がセラミック層に対応する各セラミックグリーンシートの一体焼結によって形成されており、複数のセラミック層が少なくとも表面に面する表面層と電極近傍層とを備えており、触媒粒子がセラミック層中に分散されており、表面層の気孔率が電極近傍層の気孔率よりも大きいことを特徴とする。
図1は、本発明を適用できるガス処理装置を模式的に示す図である。本例はいわゆる対向電極型の装置に関する。一対の相対向する電極装置2Aと2Bとの間の空間3に非平衡プラズマを生成させ、ここに矢印Aのようにガスを流し、所定の処理を行う。各電極装置内にはそれぞれ電極4が埋設されている。1は電源である。
基体に触媒を担持させるには、触媒粒子をセラミックスグリーンシート成形体中に含有させる。
(実施例A1)
図2に模式的に示すようなプラズマ放電用電極装置16を作製した。具体的には、ジニトロジアミンPt水溶液、硝酸コバルト水溶液にそれぞれ微粉アルミナ(比表面積100m2/g)を含浸させ、120℃で乾燥後、550℃で3時間焼成して、アルミナに対してPt、又はCoを10wt%含有するPt/アルミナ粉末、又はCo/アルミナ粉末をそれぞれ得た。これらにアルミナゾルと水を加えてスラリーを得た。前記スラリーにメッシュ状の電極4を浸漬させ、乾燥、焼成工程を経てプラズマリアクタ用電極装置16を作製した。その後、図1に示すように4枚の電極装置間に電源を接続し、電極間距離を1mmとしてプラズマリアクタを作製した。
実施例A1と同様にしてプラズマ電極装置を作製した。ただし、各セラミックグリーンシートを多層とし(3層)、電極近傍の気孔率を5%とし、表面層の気孔率を30%とした。この結果を表1に示す。
実施例A1と同様にしてプラズマ電極装置を作製した。ただし、基体の全体にわたって気孔率を30%にした。この結果を表1に示す。
実施例A1と同様にしてプラズマ電極装置を作製したが、プラズマ発生を行わずに触媒単独の場合とした。ただし、基体の全体にわたって気孔率を30%にした。この結果を表1に示す。
実施例A1と同様にしてプラズマ電極装置を作製した。ただし、基体を成形する際に触媒を添加しなかった。また、基体の全体にわたって気孔率を30%とした。焼成後の基体の表面を市販の触媒担持ゼオライト(Pt-ZSM-5)によって.被覆した。この結果を表1に示す。
実施例A1と同じプラズマ放電用電極装置16を作製し、以下のようにして水素生成実験を行った。ただし、H2の生成方式は、実験1ではC3H8の部分酸化反応、実験2ではC3H8の水蒸気改質反応、実験3ではCH4の酸素添加水蒸気改質反応である。
実施例A1と同様にしてプラズマ電極装置を作製した。ただし、各セラミックグリーンシートを多層とし(3層)、電極近傍の気孔率を20%とし、表面層の気孔率を5%とした。水素生成実験の結果を表2に示す。
実施例A1と同様にしてプラズマ電極装置を作製した。ただし、基体の全体にわたって気孔率を30%にした。水素生成実験の結果を表2に示す。
実施例A1と同様にしてプラズマ電極装置を作製した。ただし、基体を成形する際に触媒を添加しなかった。また、基体の全体にわたって気孔率を30%とした。焼成後の基体の表面を市販の触媒(Pt−アルミナ)によって被覆した。水素生成実験の結果を表2に示す。
Claims (6)
- 非平衡プラズマを発生させ、ガスの処理を行うプラズマ放電用電極装置であって、
セラミックスの一体焼結体からなる基体であって、この基体の表面上で非平衡プラズマを発生させる基体、この基体中に埋設された電極、および前記基体に担持され、前記ガスの反応を促進する触媒粒子を備えており、前記基体が前記表面から前記電極へと向かって複数のセラミック層を備えており、前記基体が前記セラミック層に対応する各セラミックグリーンシートの一体焼結によって形成されており、前記複数のセラミック層が少なくとも前記表面に面する表面層と電極近傍層とを備えており、前記触媒粒子が前記セラミック層中に分散されており、前記表面層の気孔率が、前記電極近傍層の気孔率よりも大きいことを特徴とする、プラズマ放電用電極装置。 - 前記表面層の気孔率が20%以上であり、前記電極近傍層の気孔率が5%以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記ガス処理によって前記ガスとは異なる生成物を発生させることを特徴とする、請求項1または2記載の装置。
- 前記生成物が水素であることを特徴とする、請求項3記載の装置。
- 前記ガスが有害ガスであり、この有害ガスを無害化する処理を行うことを特徴とする、請求項1または2記載の装置。
- 前記有害ガスが有機化合物、フッ素化合物および無機酸化物からなる群より選ばれた一種以上の化合物であることを特徴とする、請求項5記載の装置。
