(a)スロットル開度がアイドル判定値以下(スロットル開度が全閉状態)
(b)過給圧比が所定値以上(過大な過給状態)
(c)スロットル開度の変化率が閉弁方向に所定値以上(スロットルバルブの急閉状態)の何れかである。

Claims (3)
- エンジン(E)のシリンダ(12)に向かう吸気の流れ方向上流側から下流側に第1吸気通路(20)、過給機(25)、第2吸気通路(21)、スロットルバルブ(27)および第3吸気通路(22)を順次配置し、過給機(25)を迂回して第1、第2吸気通路(20,21)を接続するバイパス通路(28)にエアバイパスバルブ(29)を設け、スロットルバルブ(27)の開度の閉弁方向への変化率が所定値以上のときにエアバイパスバルブ(29)に開指令を出力するエンジンの過給装置において、
エアバイパスバルブ(29)への指令が開指令であり、かつ前記指令が閉指令から開指令に変更される直前のエンジン(E)の吸入空気量が所定値以上のときに、エアバイパスバルブ(29)の故障検知を許可する故障検知許可手段(S1)と、
故障検知許可手段(S1)によりエアバイパスバルブ(29)の故障検知が許可されたときに、過給機(25)およびスロットルバルブ(27)間の第2吸気通路(21)にサージングが発生したか否かを判定するサージング判定手段(S2)と、
サージング判定手段(S2)によりサージングが発生したと判定されたときにはエアバイパスバルブ(29)が閉弁故障していると判定し、サージング判定手段(S2)によりサージングが発生していないと判定されたときにはエアバイパスバルブ(29)が正常であると判定する故障判定手段(S3)と、
を備えたことを特徴とするエンジンの過給装置におけるエアバイパスバルブの故障検知装置。 - 前記サージング判定手段(S2)は、第2吸気通路(21)の吸気圧変動または吸入空気量変動の特定周波数成分を抽出し、その抽出値の積算値が所定値を超えたときにサージングが発生していると判定することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のエンジンの過給装置におけるエアバイパスバルブの故障検知装置。
- 前記故障検知許可手段(S3)は、エアバイパスバルブ(29)への指令が閉指令から開指令に変更されてから所定時間が経過するまで故障検知を許可しないことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載のエンジンの過給装置におけるエアバイパスバルブの故障検知装置。
