Description
− その層が四面体層と八面体層との並列によって構成される、いわゆる1:1フィロシリケート。このタイプの層の厚みは0.70nmである。カオリナイトがこの群の最も代表的な化合物である、
− その層が2つの四面体層の間の八面体層によって構成される、いわゆる2:1フィロシリケート。このタイプの層の厚みは0.96nmである、
− その層が層間空間内のブルーサイト(brucite)Mg(OH)2もしくはギブサイト(gibbsite)Al(OH)3の層によって構成される、いわゆる2:1:1フィロシリケート。このタイプの層の厚みは1.4nmである。
− ブリッジング法。まず、層間カチオンを(アルミニウム[Al13O4(OH)24(H2O)12]7+(Diddams P.A., Thomas, J.M., Jones, W., Ballantine, J.A. and Purnell, J. (1984), Chem. Soc. Chem. Commun, 106, 1340)、ジルコニウム[Zr4(OH)12(H2O)12]4+(Yamanaka S. and Brindley, G.W. (1979) Clays and Clay Minerals, 27, 119)に基づく)ポリカチオンで置換し、次いで得られた化合物を、ポリカチオンを疑似酸化物粒子に変換するのに十分な温度で焼成しようとする2工程での処理。この方法を用いて得られるブリッジされたフィロシリケート(別名、柱状フィロシリケート)は広範囲(1.5から10.0nm)をカバーする細孔半径並びに層および柱の両者の酸部位に関連するかなりの触媒活性を有する2次元多孔性固体である。
− 親水性フィロシリケートの親有機性フィロシリケートへの変換(A. Weiss (1963) Angew. Chem. Internat. Edit., 2, 134)。この処理は、有機カチオン(例えば、式CH3−(CH2)n−NH3 +を有するアルキルアンモニウムイオン(式中、nは1から20である))を層間空間にイオン交換によって導入することを含む。この場合、層間空間の厚みはフィロシリケートの性質、電荷の位置および炭素鎖に存在する炭素原子の数に依存する。これらの親有機性フィロシリケートはポリマーマトリックスと適合するようになり、それらのポリマーにおいて電荷として用いられる。現在、このフィロシリケート/ポリマー型の組成物には3つの範疇が存在する(Alexandre, M. and Dubois, P. (2000), Mater. Sci. En., 28, 1)。
− ポリマーがフィロシリケートの層間空間内に浸透することがない、マイクロ複合体と呼ばれる複合体。これは補強材として作用する。
− ポリマーが層間に挿入されるインターカレーション(被散在)ナノ複合体。
− ナノメートルサイズの層がポリマーマトリックス中に完全に分散し、顕微鏡規模のモノリシック構造を形成する、剥離型ナノ複合体。
− インサイチューでの重合によるもの(Okada, A., Kawasumi, M., Usuki, A., Kojima, Y., Kurauchi, T. and Kamigaito (1990) Mater. Res. Soc. Pro., 171, 45.)。まず、親有機性フィロシリケートをモノマー溶液中で膨潤させ、次いで、重合を開始させるため、それらに処理剤を添加することを含む2工程での方法。膨潤の間、極性モノマーの分子が層間に拡散する。層間空間に存在するアルキルアンモニウムイオンは、そのモノマーとの相互作用を最適化するため、層に対して垂直に向けられる。処理剤の添加はフィロシリケートの剥離を生じる重合を誘発する。
− 層状ケイ酸塩をインサイチューで形成することによるもの(Carrado, K. and Xu, L.Q ; (1998) Chem. Mater., 10, 1440−1445)。この最近の方法は、層状ケイ酸塩、例えば、ヘクトライトのインサイチュー熱水結晶化を水性ポリマーゲル中で行うことを含む。
− 溶液中。この場合、ポリマーが可溶である適切な有機溶媒を用いて親有機性層状化合物を剥離させる。溶媒分子の脱着によって得られるエンタルピー利得はポリマー鎖を粘土の層間に拡散させる。その後、溶媒を蒸発させる。
− 融合によるもの(Vaia, R.A. Ishii, H. and Giannelis, E.P. (1993) Chem. Mater, 5, 1694)。この場合、親有機性フィロシリケートをポリマーと混合する。全体を溶融した後、ガラス転移温度を上回る温度でアニールする、ナノ複合体の形成に至る方法。
− 第1のものは、アルキルアンモニウムイオン(例えば、C16TMAと呼ばれるヘキサデシルトリメチルアンモニウムイオン)を層間空間にイオン交換によって導入することを含み、
− 第2のものは、一級アミン(例えば、ドデシルアミン)およびシリカ前駆体(テトラエチルオルト珪酸、TEOS)を組み込もうとするものであり、
− 最終工程は、焼成もしくは酸性溶媒中での表面活性剤の抽出による多孔性の解放を含む。
モンモリロナイトは現在最も研究され、かつ最も用いられる2:1フィロシリケートである。それはケイ素、アルミニウムおよびマグネシウム元素を実質的に含む。それはスメクタイト群、二八面体亜群の一部である。
C+ 4x[(M3+ 4(1-x)M2+ 4x□2)VI(Si4+ 8)IVO20(OH)4]
(C+:層間空間の相殺カチオン、M3+:三価カチオン、例えば、Al3+、Fe3+、M2+:二価カチオン、例えば、Mg2+、Cu2+、Co2+、Zn2+、Fe2+、Ni2+、x:八面体置換のレベル)
である。
(y:四面体置換のレベル)。
i)水性藻類抽出物を調製し、
ii)適切な溶媒中で、十分な長さの時間、該抽出物を粘土と接触させ、および
iii)得られたインターカレーション粘土を単離する、
ことに本質をおく工程を含む方法に関する。

Claims (15)
- 粘土およびインターカレーション化合物としての藻類抽出物を含むインターカレーション粘土。
- 藻類抽出物がアオサ藻類抽出物である請求項1による粘土。
- 藻類抽出物がウルバンを含む請求項1もしくは2による粘土。
- 藻類抽出物が80重量%を上回るウルバンを含む請求項1から3のいずれか1項による粘土。
- 粘土が層状粘土である請求項1から4のいずれか1項による粘土。
- 粘土が膨潤特性を有する粘土である請求項1から4のいずれか1項による粘土。
- 粘土がモンモリロナイトである請求項1から4のいずれか1項による粘土。
- 粘土および藻類抽出物を0.1から80の粘土/藻類抽出物重量比で含む請求項1から7のいずれか1項による粘土。
- 藻類抽出物を用いてインターカレーション粘土を調製するための方法であって、
i)水性藻類抽出物を調製し、
ii)適切な溶媒中で、十分な長さの時間、該抽出物を粘土と接触させ、および
iii)得られたインターカレーション粘土を単離する、
ことに本質をおく工程を含む方法。 - 動物およびヒトの食料、化粧品、医薬品、プラスチック技術、道路表面材および食品用であってもなくてもよい包装における、請求項1から8のいずれか1項によるインターカレーション粘土の使用。
- 0.01から2重量%の、請求項1から8のいずれか1項によるインターカレーション粘土を含む動物の食料。
- 請求項1から8のいずれか1項によるインターカレーション粘土および天然もしくは合成ポリマーを含むナノ複合体。
- 粘土および藻類抽出物を1から30の粘土/藻類抽出物重量比で含む請求項1から7のいずれか1項による粘土。
- 粘土および藻類抽出物を2から15の粘土/藻類抽出物重量比で含む請求項1から7のいずれか1項による粘土。
- 0.05から1重量%の、請求項1から8のいずれか1項によるインターカレーション粘土を含む動物の食料。
