Claims (13)
- ビデオデータ、及びグラフィックデータを記録した保存媒体からインタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームを再生する方法において、
前記保存媒体からインタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームを読込む段階と、
前記読込んだインタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームをデコーディングする段階と、
前記読込んだインタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームのタイプを決定する段階と、
前記デコーディングされたインタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームとビデオデータとをブレンドし、前記デコーディングされたインタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームが一般のインタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームである時は、前記ブレンドされたデータでメニュー画面を指定の出力開始時間から出力完了時間までディスプレイし、前記デコーディングされたインタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームがオンデマンド・インタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームである時、活性化命令を受ければ、前記ブレンドされたデータでメニュー画面をディスプレイする段階とを含むことを特徴とする再生方法。 - 前記デコーディングされたインタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームがオンデマンド・インタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームである時、前記ブレンド段階は、再生装置レジスターから前記オンデマンド・インタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームの活性化準備ができていることを示す初期メニューページをディスプレイするか否かを示すdisp_flagを読込む段階と、
前記disp_flagが第1値であれば、前記オンデマンド・インタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームの活性化準備ができていることを示す初期メニューページをディスプレイする段階と、
前記disp_flagが前記第1値と異なる第2値であれば、活性化命令を無視する段階とを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生方法。 - リモコンのようなユーザインターフェースから活性化命令語を受信すれば、前記ブレンドされたデータで最初のメニューページをディスプレイすることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の再生方法。
- 前記決定段階は、ICSのsegment_typeフィールドを分析する段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生方法。
- セグメントのタイプを示す前記segment_typeフィールドはsegment_descriptorフィールドに位置することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の再生方法。
- 前記segment_typeフィールドは、一般のインタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームタイプは0x18という値を有し、オンデマンド・インタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームタイプは0x19という値を有するように定義されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の再生方法。
- 前記一般のインタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームと前記オンデマンド・インタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームとは同じ構造を有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生方法。
- 前記決定段階は、ICSのICS_typeフィールドを分析する段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生方法。
- 前記ICS_typeフィールドは、ICS_typeの値が第1値であれば、一般のインタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームを示し、ICS_type値が前記第1値と異なる第2値であれば、オンデマンド・インタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームを示すように定義されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の再生方法。
- 前記決定段階は、前記インタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームの構造を分析する段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生方法。
- 前記一般のインタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームと前記オンデマンド・インタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームとの構造が異なることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の再生方法。
- 前記オンデマンド・インタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームの構造は、第1から第n番目までのメニューページを定義することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の再生方法。
- 前記メニューページのうち少なくとも1つは、オンデマンド・インタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームがデコーディングされ、活性化準備ができていることを示す初期ボタンを含む初期メニューページであり、他のメニューページは前記オンデマンド・インタラクティブ・グラフィック・ストリームが活性化された後にディスプレイされるボタンを含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の再生方法。
