Description
(1)5−35重量%の界面活性組成物を含有し、30℃、0.1 s−1で測定して200ストークス(即ち、20,000センチストークス)よりも高い粘度を有している構造化液体洗浄剤(即ち、20ミクロンの油滴を室温で相分離を生じることなく3カ月以上懸濁させ得る液体)を調製する段階と、
(2)別個に、油を場合によってはポリマーと共に混練して、30℃、1.0 s−1で3,000センチストークスよりも高い値、好ましくは10,000センチストークスよりも高い値の粘度をもつ油または油/ポリマー混合物を形成する段階と、
(3)1−30重量%の油または油/ポリマーブレンドを70−99重量%の該構造化液体洗浄剤に混合または注入して、100マイクロメーターよりも大きい寸法、好ましくは200マイクロメーターよりも大きい寸法の油または油/ポリマーの液滴を形成させる段階と、
(4)段階3の組成物を30マイクロメーターよりも大きい篩目、好ましくは50マイクロメーターよりも大きい篩目を有するスクリーンに通して最終製品を製造する段階と、
から成り、段階(3)の粒度が段階(4)で使用するスクリーンの篩目の寸法よりも大きいことを特徴とする。
(1)5−35重量%の界面活性組成物を含有し、0.1 s−1で200ストークスよりも高い粘度を有している構造化液体洗浄剤(即ち、20ミクロンよりも大きい寸法の油滴または油/ポリマー液滴を室温で3カ月以上支持し得る液体)を調製する段階と(界面活性剤は、アニオン性、非イオン性、両性/双性、カチオン性またはそれらの混合物でよい)、
(2)別個に、油または油/ポリマー(例えば、同日付けで出願された同時係属出願に開示された油/ポリマーなど)を混練して、30℃、1.0 s−1で測定して3,000センチストークスよりも高い値の粘度をもつ油または油/ポリマー混合物を形成する段階と、
(3)1−30重量%の油または油/ポリマーブレンドを70−99重量%の該構造化液体洗浄剤に混合または注入して、100マイクロメーターよりも大きい寸法、好ましくは200マイクロメーターよりも大きい寸法の油または油/ポリマーの液滴を形成させる段階と、
(4)段階3の組成物を30マイクロメーターよりも大きい篩目、好ましくは50マイクロメーターよりも大きい篩目を有するスクリーンに通して最終製品を製造する段階と、
から成り、段階3の粒子の寸法が段階4の(1つまたは複数の)スクリーンの篩目の寸法よりも大きいことを特徴とする。
本発明の方法によって製造される組成物は、5−35重量%、好ましくは8−30重量%の界面活性組成物を含有する構造化液体組成物を含む。
RO(CH2CH2O)nSO3M
を有するものがあり、式中の、Rは炭素数8−18、好ましくは炭素数12−18のアルキルまたはアルケニルを表し、nは1.0よりも大きい平均値、好ましくは2−3の平均値を有しており、Mはナトリウム、カリウム、アンモニウムまたは置換アンモニウムのような可溶化カチオンを表す。ラウリルエーテル硫酸アンモニウム及びラウリルエーテル硫酸ナトリウムが好ましい。
R4O2CCH2CH(SO3M)CO2M;
を有するモノアルキルスルホスクシネートでもよく、式:
R4CONHCH2CH2O2CCH2CH(SO3M)CO2M;
を有するアミド−MEAスルホスクシネートでもよく、式中のR4はC8−C22のアルキル、Mは可溶化カチオンを表す。または、スルホスクシネートが式:
RCONH(CH2)CH(CH3)(SO3M)CO2M
を有するアミド−MIPAスルホスクシネートでもよく、式中のMは上記の定義と同義である。
R2CONR3CH2CH2SO3M
によって表され、式中のR2はC8−C20のアルキルを表し、R3はC1−C4のアルキルを表し、Mは可溶化カチオンを表す。
R−(CH2CH2O)nCO2M
で表されるようなカルボキシレートであり、式中のRはC8−C20のアルキルを表し、nは0−20であり、Mは上記の定義と同義である。
双性界面活性剤の代表は、脂肪族の第四アンモニウム、ホスホニウム及びスルホニウム化合物の誘導体として広く記載されている界面活性剤である。これらの化合物では、脂肪族ラジカルが直鎖状または分枝状であり、脂肪族置換基の1つが約8−約18個の炭素原子を含み、1つがアニオン基、例えば、カルボキシ、スルホネート、スルフェート、ホスフェートまたはホスホネートを含む。これらの化合物は一般式:
R1は炭素原子数7−18のアルキルまたはアルケニルであり、
R2及びR3の各々は独立に、炭素原子数1−3のアルキル、ヒドロキシアルアルまたはカルボキシアルキルを表し、
nは2−4であり、
mは0−1であり、
Xは、場合によってはヒドロキシルで置換された炭素原子数1−3のアルキレンであり、
Yは−CO2−または−SO3−である。
R2O(CnH2nO)t(グリコシル)x
のアルキルポリグリコシドであり、式中の、R2は、アルキル基に約10−約18個、好ましくは約12−約14個の炭素原子を含むアルキル、アルキルフェニル、ヒドロキシアルキル、ヒドロキシアルキルフェニル及びそれらの混合物から選択され、nは0−3、好ましくは2であり、tは0−約10、0、xは1.3−約10、好ましくは1.3−約2.7である。グリコシルは好ましくはグルコースに由来する。これらの化合物を製造するためには、アルコールまたはアルキルポリエトキシアルコールを先ず形成し、次いでグルコースまたはグルコース源と反応させて、グルコシドを形成する(1位に結合)。次いで追加のグリコシル単位がそれらの1位と先行グリコシル単位の2位、3位、4位及び/または6位、好ましくは優先的に2位とを結合させる。
油をポリマーと組合せたとき(同じ日付けで出願した本出願人の出願と同様に、シャワーによるすすぎ落ち適性の評価方法で評価したときに、湿った皮膚に摩擦抵抗のある感触、または、著しい摩擦抵抗のある感触が生じたとき)、使用されたポリマー/油ブレンドは組成物の1−30重量%、好ましくは3−20重量%を構成し、ブレンド自体は10−90重量%、好ましくは20−80重量%のポリマーと約20−90重量%、好ましくは30−80重量%の疎水性油とから成る。
本発明の方法によって製造される組成物の1つの任意成分は、有機、無機または高分子安定剤である。より特定的には組成物が、界面活性剤中で大きい油滴(油またはポリマー/油ブレンドの液滴)に40℃で4週以上の物理的安定性を与える有機、無機または高分子安定剤を0−10重量%の量で含有し得る。
本発明はまたカチオン性ポリマーを含有し得る。
植物油:落花生油、ヒマシ油、カカオ脂、ココヤシ油、トウモロコシ油、綿実油、オリーブ油、パーム核油、ナタネ油、ベニバナ種油、ゴマ種油及びダイズ油;
エステル類:ブチルミリステート、セチルパルミテート、デシルオレエート、グリセリルラウレート、グリセリルリシノレエート、グリセリルステアレート、グリセリルイソステアレート、ヘキシルラウレート、イソブチルパルミテート、イソセチルステアレート、イソプロピルイソステアレート、イソプロピルラウレート、イソプロピルリノレエート、イソプロピルミリステート、イソプロピルパルミテート、イソプロピルステアレート、プロピレングリコールモノラウレート、プロピレングリコールリシノレエート、プロピレングリコールステアレート及びプロピレングリコールイソステアレート;
動物脂肪:アセチル化ラノリンアルコール、ラノリン、豚脂、ミンク油及び牛脂。
エタノールのような有機溶媒;0.01−1%、好ましくは0.01−0.05%の量のエチレンジアミン四酢酸四ナトリウム(EDTA)、EHDPまたはそれらの混合物のような補助増粘剤、金属イオン封鎖剤;ステアリン酸亜鉛、TiO2、EGMS(エチレングリコールモノステアレート)またはLytron 621(スチレン/アクリレートコポリマー)のような着色剤、乳白剤及び真珠光沢剤を含有し得る。これらはいずれも製品の外観または化粧品特性を強化するために使用される。
油または油/ポリマーブレンドの粒度は、洗浄剤のすすぎ落ち適性及び潤いのある皮膚の洗い上がり感に関して有意な効果を有している。一般に、液滴の寸法が大きいほど、油/ポリマーブレンドが洗浄剤のすすぎ落ち適性及び洗浄後コンディショニング効果をより有効に向上させる。有効なすすぎ補助剤または皮膚コンディショニング剤として作用するためには、油またはブレンドの液滴寸法が20ミクロンよりも大きい値、好ましくは50ミクロンよりも大きい値でなければならない。油または油/ポリマーブレンドの液滴の上限は洗浄剤の懸濁特性及び油または油/ポリマーブレンドの粘着力次第で5000ミクロンという高い値でもよく、好ましくは1000ミクロンである。200グラムよりも大きい粘着力を有している油または油/ポリマーブレンドの場合には、濡れた皮膚に望ましくない粘着性部分が点在する感触が残ることを防ぐために粒度の上限は好ましくは1000ミクロン未満である。すすぎ落ちがよい、使用感がよいなどの特性を得るために、油または油/ポリマーブレンドの重量平均粒度は20−5000ミクロンの範囲、好ましくは50−1000ミクロンの範囲、最も好ましくは100−400ミクロンでなければならない。
粘着力測定
粘着力の測定には、TA−57Rプローブを備えたTexture Analyzer(Textile Technologies Corp.製のTA−XT2)を使用した。0.1−0.15ccの材料をガラスプレートに注入した。プローブが液体を通過してガラスプレートを押圧するようにTAを設定した。プローブが0.5グラムの起動力に達すると、Texture Expertソフトウェアがこの力を時間の関数として測定し始める。プローブは設定した押圧力でサンプルの押圧を続ける。設定時間が経過するとTAを退却させる。TAが表面から退却するときの力を測定する。材料からプローブを引き離すために必要な力の最大値を材料の粘着力の値として記録し、この値を使用して種々の材料の相対的粘着力を比較する。材料の粘着性が強いほど、粘着力の値が大きい。幾つかのポリマー及び油/ポリマーブレンドについて、3つの測定値を連続的に採取し、平均を計算して、表2に示した。測定に使用したTA設定値を表1に示す。
身体洗浄剤のシャワーによるすすぎ落ち適性を評価するために以下に記載の方法を使用した。Taiwan製Luxのようなセッケン基剤の身体洗浄用液体はすすぎ中の3−4回の摩擦サイクル後に濡れた皮膚に著しい摩擦抵抗のある感触を与える。Taiwan Doveボディウォッシュのような合成洗剤基剤の液体は8−10回のすすぎサイクル後に濡れた皮膚にやや摩擦抵抗のある感触を与える。U.S.Doveのようなカチオン性ポリマー含有シャワー液は10−12回の摩擦サイクル後に濡れた皮膚に極めてぬるぬるする感触を与える。
1.先ず、流水で身体を濡らす。
2.流水から離れて、約5ccの液体を全身に塗布して泡立てる。
3.シャワーの前に立ち、両手で胸部を1サイクル約1.5−1.8秒の速度で上下に摩擦しながらすすぎを開始する。
4.摩擦抵抗のある感触が認められるまでの摩擦サイクルの回数をカウントし、最初の摩擦抵抗が認められてから2−3サイクル後の摩擦抵抗感を判定する。摩擦抵抗の程度を以下の段階で評価する。
Claims (5)
- 望ましい湿潤化特性を有している身体洗浄組成物の製造方法であって、前記方法が、
(1)5−35重量%の界面活性組成物を含有し、30℃、0.1 s−1で測定して200ストークスよりも高い粘度を有している構造化液体洗浄剤を調製する段階と、
(2)別個に、油を場合によってはポリマーと共に混練して、30℃、1.0 s−1で3,000センチストークスよりも高い粘度の油または油/ポリマー混合物を形成する段階と、
(3)1−30重量%の油または油/ポリマーブレンドを70−99重量%の前記構造化液体洗浄剤に混合または注入して、100マイクロメーターよりも大きい粒度を有する油または油/ポリマーの液滴を形成する段階と、
(4)段階3の組成物を30マイクロメーターよりも大きい篩目を有するスクリーンに通して最終製品を製造する段階と、
から成り、
段階(3)の粒子の粒度が段階(4)で使用するスクリーンの篩目の寸法よりも大きいこと、
前記構造化液体が20ミクロンの油滴を室温で相分離を生じることなく3カ月以上懸濁させ得ることを特徴とする身体洗浄組成物の製造方法。 - 構造化液体の粘度が400ストークスよりも高いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 油/ポリマー混合物の粘度が、30℃、1.0 s−1で10,000センチストークスよりも高いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 5−25%の油/ポリマーを注入することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- スクリーンの篩目の寸法が50マイクロメーターよりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
