Description
本発明の多層フィルムのコア層Aに使用するシクロオレフィンコポリマー(COC)は、一般にエチレン単位および/またはα−オレフィンを含む単位と、環式、二環式または多環式オレフィンから構成される。好ましくは、COCはエチレンとノルボルネンからのコポリマーである。そのようなCOCは、EP−A−0 407 870またはEP−A−0 485 893に記載された遷移金属重合触媒の存在下で製造される。それらに記載された方法は、低い多分散度(Mw/Mn=2)をもつCOCの製造に適する。これにより、低分子量成分により起きる表面移行、抽出現象または粘着などの欠点が避けられる。COCの分子量は、水素の使用、触媒の慎重な選択、および重合反応条件の慎重な選択により、製造プロセス中に調整される。
本発明によれば、機能性をもつ使用ポリマーは、ジアミンとジカルボン酸の反応またはラクタムの開環により製造したポリアミドを含むことができる。適切なポリアミドの例は、ポリヘキサメチレンセバカミドおよびポリ−ε−カプロラクタムである。機能性をもつ他のポリマーは、加水分解度の異なるポリビニルアルコール、およびポリエステル、たとえばポリブチレンテレフタラートである。
ASTM D822に従って測定した高い引張伸び弾性率(すなわち、低い伸び率で高い引張応力);
DIN 53122に従って測定した、水蒸気に対する良好なバリヤー性(すなわち低い水蒸気透過速度);
良好な透明度および印刷適性。
本発明の多層フィルムの1以上の外層は、さらに中和剤、安定剤、離型剤、炭化水素樹脂、および/または帯電防止剤、または防曇剤をも含むことができる。
一般に使用できる半結晶質ポリオレフィンは、エチレンまたはα−オレフィン、たとえばプロペン、n−ブテン、イソブテン、および高級α−オレフィンのポリマー、またはこれらのコポリマーである。ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、たとえばHDPE、LDPEおよびLLDPE、またはこれらから調製した混合物を有利に使用できる。5〜100%の任意の混合比のLDPEおよびLLDPEの混合物が好ましい。適切な場合、半結晶質ポリオレフィンは他の添加剤をそれぞれ有効な量で含む。
適切な場合、フィルムの片面または両面を既知のいずれかの方法でコロナ処理または火炎処理してもよく、通常は、その結果処理した表面の表面極性が改善され、したがって印刷適性が改善される。
引張伸び弾性率:ASTM D822
水分バリヤー性;38℃、相対湿度90%:DIN 53122。
同時押出を採用し、キャストフィルム法でフラットフィルム押出ダイを用いて(実施例1)、またはインフレート法で環状押出ダイを用いて(実施例2〜7)、多数の多層フィルムを製造した。これらのフィルムは、50〜120μmの全厚をもち、少なくとも5層、すなわち基層A、および2つのタイ層(プライマー層)により基層に接着された2つの外層B1/B2およびC1/C2からなっていた。各層の厚さを後記の表に示す。
これらの多層フィルムを用いて、横型成形充填シール機(型:ULMA PV 350、スペイン)でフローパック包装品を製造した。
実施例により製造したすべての試料の印刷および包装操作における性能が、比較例により製造したフィルムのものに匹敵するか、またはそれらより良好であった。
以下の比較フィルムは、ポリアミドまたはポリエステルから作成した配向フィルムおよびポリエチレンから作成した非配向フィルムを積層したものであった。
70℃の温度で本発明の実施例により製造したすべてのフィルムが、比較例により製造したフィルムのものより高い貯蔵弾性率を備えていた。
A(COC)は、少なくとも50%の非晶質ポリオレフィンを含有するコア層Aを表わす;
TBは、COCとポリエチレン(COCの30%未満)のブレンドを含む追加層を表わす;
実施例8〜10は、異なる機能性外層(シーラントおよび酸素バリヤー)についての例を示す;
実施例11は、2つのサブ層に分割したコア層についての例を示す;
実施例12は、COCブレンドを含む追加外層を含有する低カールフィルムについての例を示す。
Claims (12)
- コア層Aの全重量を基準として50〜100重量%の量の少なくとも60℃のガラス転移温度Tgを有する非晶質シクロオレフィンコポリマー(COC)を含むコア層Aを含み、かつコア層Aの両側に少なくとも2つの外層BおよびCを含み、それらのうち1つは少なくとも1種類のシール適性ポリマーを含み、1つは少なくとも1種類の機能性ポリマーを含み、コア層Aと外層BおよびCとの間にさらにコア層Aと外層BおよびCとを堅牢に結合させる中間層が配置されており、フィルムは10〜200μmの全厚を有し、コア層Aはフィルム全厚の5〜60%を構成し、
前記機能性ポリマーが、ジアミンとジカルボン酸の反応またはラクタムの開環により製造したポリアミド、エチレンビニルアルコールコポリマーもしくはポリビニルアルコール、またはポリエチレンテレフタラートもしくはポリブチレンテレフタラートを含み、
前記シール適性ポリマーが、シール適性イオノマーを含み、
引張伸び弾性率が少なくとも500N/mm2、厚さ1mmに標準化した水蒸気移動速度が0.5g・mm/(m2・日)未満である、包装用多層フィルム。 - COCが、エチレンおよび/またはα−オレフィンと、環式、二環式または多環式オレフィンのコポリマーである、請求項1に記載の包装用フィルム。
- COCが、エチレンおよびノルボルネンから製造したコポリマーである、請求項1または2に記載の包装用フィルム。
- 機能性ポリマーが、気体透過速度に関してCOCのバリヤー性をさらに改善するポリマー、またはフィルムの摩擦特性を改善する添加剤を含むポリマーを含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の包装用フィルム。
- 添加剤が、アルカリ土類金属炭酸塩もしくはアルカリ金属炭酸塩、酸化物、またはケイ酸塩から製造した無機粒子を粘着防止剤として含む、請求項4に記載の包装用フィルム。
- 機能性ポリマーがさらに、ポリジアルキルシロキサンからなる有機離型剤を含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の包装用フィルム。
- 中間層が、接着促進剤、プライマー組成物または接着剤を含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の包装用フィルム。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のシール適性である包装用多層フィルムの製造方法であって、フィルムの各層を形成するポリマー混合物およびポリマーを別個の押出機内で溶融し、これらの溶融ポリマーをフラットフィルム押出ダイまたはチューブ押出ダイから同時押出し、得られた同時押出フィルムを1以上のロールに引き取るとフィルムが冷却および凝固し、これにより延伸工程を省略する方法。
- 冷却および凝固した前記フィルムを、続いて表面処理することを含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 使用する添加剤がそのままポリマーまたはポリマー混合物中に存在し、あるいはマスターバッチ法により添加される、請求項8または9に記載の方法。
- 成形充填シール機で製造する”フローパック”包装品に用いるための、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の包装用フィルムの使用。
- 熱成形ブリスターパッケージ上またはカップ上のカバーフィルム(熱封フィルム)として用いるための、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の包装用フィルムの使用。
