Description
本願は、開示内容が本明細書に全体が記載されているかのように引用することにより本明細書の一部をなすものとする、2002年5月6日提出の米国仮出願第60/380,049号の利益を主張する。
本発明は、一般に、卵に関し、さらに特に、卵を処理するための装置に関する。
本発明は、ここで、本発明の好ましい実施態様が示されている添付の図面を参照してさらに詳細に記載される。しかし、本発明は多数の異なる形態で具体化することができ、本明細書に記載されている実施態様に限定されると考慮するべきではなく、むしろ本開示が完全且つ完璧であり、当業者に本発明の範囲を詳細に伝えるようにこれらの実施態様は提供されている。特に規定しない限り、本明細書において使用する全ての技術用語および科学用語は、本発明が属する当業者によって通常理解されるものと同じ意味を持つ。本明細書において本発明の説明に使用する用語は特定の実施態様だけを記載する目的のためであり、本発明を限定する意図のものではない。
Claims (15)
- 卵を少なくともその上部が露出した状態で保持したフラットまたはそれに類する容器を、識別ステーションに位置決めするステップと、
外部光線を遮蔽するカップを前記卵の上部に重ね、前記カップで前記卵の上部が覆われるように、前記卵に前記カップの縁を接触させるステップと、
前記卵の側方に隣接して、前記カップの外側に配置した光源により、選択された一つ以上の部分のスペクトルの光線を前記卵に側方から照射するステップと、
前記カップ内に配置した光検出装置により、前記卵から放出される光線の強度を検出するステップと、
検出した光線強度に対応する出力信号を発生するステップと、
前記出力信号を処理し、胚の脈拍の存在を示す前記光線強度の周期的変化と、胚の動きを示す前記光線強度の非周期的変化を識別するステップと、
前記光線強度の周期的な変化または非周期的な変化の識別に応答して、前記卵を生存卵であると指定するステップと
を含む、生存卵を識別する方法。 - 前記卵に光線を照射するステップが、赤外部分のスペクトルの光線を前記卵に照射するステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記卵に光線を照射するステップが、可視部分および赤外部分のスペクトルの光線を前記卵に照射するステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記生存卵から物質を抜き取るステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記生存卵に物質を注入するステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 各卵から物質を抜き取るステップが、各卵から尿膜腔液、羊膜、卵黄、殻、卵白、組織、膜および/または血液を抜き取るステップを含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記物質がワクチンを含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記物質がウィルスを含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 卵を少なくともその上部が露出した状態で保持したフラットまたはそれに類する容器が位置決めされる識別ステーションで上方位置と下方位置との間を移動可能なほぼ水平のフレームと、
前記フレームによってほぼ垂直な方向に支持され、前記上方位置と前記下方位置との間を前記フレームと共に移動可能である検出装置ツールであって、前記フレームが下方位置にあるとき、縁が前記卵と接触した状態で前記卵の上部に重なり、前記卵の上部を覆うことで外部光線を遮蔽するように構成されているカップと、前記フレームが下方位置にあるとき、前記カップの外側で前記卵の側方に隣接して位置し、選択された一つ以上の部分のスペクトルの光線を前記卵に側方から照射するように構成されている光源と、前記カップの内部に配置され、前記卵から放出される光線の強度に対応する出力信号を発生する光検出装置と、を備えた検出装置ツールと、
前記出力信号を処理し、胚の脈拍の存在を示す前記光線強度の周期的な変化を識別すべく前記光検出装置に連絡しているプロセッサと
を備える、生存卵を識別する装置。 - 前記プロセッサは、前記出力信号を処理し、胚の動きを示す前記光線強度の非周期的な変化をも識別するように構成されている、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記光源が、赤外部分のスペクトルの光線を卵に照射するように構成されている、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記光源が、可視部分および/または赤外部分のスペクトルの光線を卵に照射するように構成されている、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記カップが、外部光線および前記光源からの直接の光線から前記光検出装置を遮蔽するように構成されている材料を含む、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記カップと卵の密閉を促進するように前記カップ内を真空にすることができる、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記光源が、自由末端を有する細長い軸と、前記軸の自由末端またはその近傍に配設された少なくとも1つの光線照射要素とを備え、前記光線照射要素が、前記軸によって、前記カップの外側で前記卵の側方に隣接して配置される、請求項9に記載の装置。
