Abstract
Description
本出願は、2005年7月29日に出願された米国特許仮出願第60/703,845号の利益および優先権を主張し、引用することにより本明細書の一部をなすものとする。
本発明は、一般に卵に関し、詳細には、卵を処理するための方法および装置に関する。
Claims (17)
- 生きている卵を識別する方法であって、
キャリア内の卵に光源から光を照射するステップと、
各卵を通過する光を光検出器で受け取るステップと、
光検出器で受けた光に対応する出力信号をそれぞれの各卵毎に発生させるステップと、
各卵の不透明度を決定するために各卵についての前記出力信号を解析するステップと、
第1の不透明度値よりも小さい不透明度を有する卵を除去するステップと、
第1の不透明度値とは異なる第2の不透明度値よりも大きい不透明度を有する卵を除去するステップと
を含む方法。 - 各卵について前記光源および検出器が、前記卵のそれぞれの両側の部分に配置されている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 各卵における前記光源および検出器が、前記卵のそれぞれの両端部に配置されている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記キャリア内の各卵がインキュベート11日目のものである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記キャリアから除去されない各卵の中へウイルスを注入するステップを更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ウイルスがヒトインフルエンザウイルスを含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記光検出器がカメラであり、前記カメラが、前記キャリア内の複数の卵を通過する光を同時に受け取る、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 生きている卵を識別する装置であって、
キャリア内の卵をキャンドリングするキャンドラを含み、
前記キャンドラが、
キャリア内の各卵に光を照射する光源と、
各卵を通過する光源からの光を受け取り、前記受け取った光に対応する出力信号を発生させる検出器と、
前記キャンドラと通信し、各卵の不透明度を決定するために各卵についての前記出力信号を解析するプロセッサであって、不透明度が第1の不透明度値よりも小さい場合に卵を生きていないと指定し、不透明度が第1の不透明度値とは異なる第2の不透明度値よりも大きい場合に卵を生きていないと指定するプロセッサと、
を含む装置。 - 卵を前記キャリアから除去する卵除去装置を更に含む、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 卵除去装置が、生きていない卵を前記キャリアから除去する、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記キャリアから除去された卵を他の卵と置き換える充填ステーションを更に含む、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 生きている各卵の中へ物質を注入するように構成された注入装置を更に含む、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記物質がウイルスを含む、請求項12に記載の装置。
- 前記ウイルスがヒトインフルエンザウイルスを含む、請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記検出器がフォトディテクタを含む、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記検出器がビデオカメラを含む、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記ビデオカメラが、前記キャリア内の複数の卵を通過する光を同時に受け取る、請求項16に記載の装置。
