Description
式(I)において、R1とR2はそれぞれ1〜6の炭素を有するアルキル基、aは0〜4の整数、bは0〜3の整数、pは1〜10の整数を示し、
式(III)において、R5とR6、R7はそれぞれ1〜6の炭素を有するアルキル基、eとgはそれぞれ0〜4の整数、fは0〜3の整数、rは1〜10の整数を示す。アルキル基の具体例としては、メチル基、エチル基、プロピル基、イソプロピル基、ブチル基、s-ブチル基、ペンチル基、シクロペンチル基、ヘキシル基、シクロヘキシル基及びそれらの異性体等があげられ、好ましくはメチル基である。
一般のエポキシ樹脂組成物に用いられるノボラックワニス樹脂系の硬化剤である、ベンゼン環などの芳香族ユニットがアルキレン基などのスペーサー基を介して互いに結合されるものと比べ、本発明に用いられるフェノール樹脂は、ベンゼン環などの芳香族ユニットが直接結合され、何らかのスペーサー基も挟まれていないので、相対的に低い溶融粘度特性を具備し、該特性を有するフェノール樹脂を含む本発明の樹脂組成物の粘度が下げられることが可能であり、多量のフィラーが含有されても、優れた流動性を確保することができる。また、このフェノール樹脂は骨格におけるベンゼン環の間に高い結合力を持つことで、フェノール樹脂を含有する本発明の樹脂組成物は、硬化後、より高い耐インパクト強度と強い耐応力クラック能力を備え、また、鉛フリーのはんだ材料を使用する電子製品に応用する際に、高温加工条件下に優れた熱安定性を有する。
エポキシ樹脂二 長春人造樹脂廠(台湾)により生産され、BEB530A80を商品名として販売されたポリ(テトラブロモビスフェノールAジグリシジルエーテル)、エポキシ当量は430ないし450g/eqであり、臭素含有量は18.5ないし20.5重量%である。
エポキシ樹脂三 日本化薬株式会社(日本)により生産され、NC3000Pを商品名として販売された式(I)に示した構造を有するエポキシ樹脂であり、その骨格がビフェニルユニットを有し、エポキシ当量は272g/eqである。
エポキシ樹脂四 式(II)に示した構造を有するエポキシ樹脂(cは0、dは0、qは1ないし10の整数)であり、その骨格がナフタレンユニットを有し、エポキシ当量は270g/eqである。
硬化剤一 式(III)に示した構造を有するポリ(o-クレゾール)樹脂であり、活性水素当量は117g/eqである。
硬化剤二 長春人造樹脂廠(台湾)で生産され、PF5080を商品名として販売されたノボラックワニス樹脂であり、活性水素当量は105ないし110g/eqである。
触媒(硬化促進剤) トリフェニルホスフィンである。
(2)難燃性:UL94の規格に従い、長さ5インチ、幅0.5インチ及び厚さ1/16インチのサンプルに対して難燃性を測定する。
(3)吸湿性:径25mm、厚さ5mmの丸形のサンプルを100℃の沸騰水の中に24時間で沸かした後、吸水重量の増加率を測定する。
(4)288℃のスズ炉における熱安定性:長さ5インチ、幅0.5インチ及び厚さ1/16インチのサンプルを288℃のスズ炉に30秒で挿入し、サンプル表面で泡やクラックが出るか否かを観る。
表1に示された成分含有量により、室温で各成分を十分に混合した後、70から110℃の温度条件でツインローラーにて混練し、冷却してから粉砕し、エポキシ樹脂組成物粉末を得た。各サンプルに対しスパイラルフロー、耐燃焼性、吸湿性及び熱安定性をそれぞれ測定した。その結果を下記の表1に示す。
Claims (14)
- (A)ビフェニルユニットまたはナフタレンユニットを有する少なくとも1種類のエポキシ樹脂と、
(B)骨格がベンゼン環を直接結合することで形成され、各ベンゼン環の間にスペーサー基が挟まれていない、硬化剤として用いる少なくとも1種類のフェノール樹脂と、
(C)硬化促進剤と、
無機フィラーと
を含み、
前記(A)成分が、ビフェニルユニットを有するエポキシ樹脂である場合、下記式(I)に示した構造を有し、
前記硬化剤としてのフェノール樹脂の含有量が硬化剤の合計量の30重量%ないし100重量%を占めていることを特徴とする、難燃性樹脂組成物であって、
前記(A)成分のエポキシ樹脂と(B)成分の硬化剤の含有量の割合が、エポキシ樹脂のエポキシ当量と硬化剤の活性水素当量の割合で1:0.4ないし1:2.5であり、
前記(C)硬化促進剤の含有量が、その組成物の総重量を基準に0.01重量%ないし5.0重量%であり、
前記無機フィラーの含有量が、その組成物の総重量を基準に70重量%ないし90重量%である、
難燃性樹脂組成物。 - 前記R1およびR2で表されるアルキル基が、メチル基、エチル基、プロピル基、イソプロピル基、ブチル基、s-ブチル基、ペンチル基、シクロペンチル基、ヘキシル基、シクロヘキシル基よりなる群から選ばれたいずれか一つであることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の難燃性樹脂組成物。
- 前記R3およびR4で表されるアルキル基が、メチル基、エチル基、プロピル基、イソプロピル基、ブチル基、s-ブチル基、ペンチル基、シクロペンチル基、ヘキシル基、シクロヘキシル基よりなる群から選ばれたいずれか一つであることを特徴とする、請求項3記載の難燃性樹脂組成物。
- 前記R5、R6およびR7で表されるアルキル基が、メチル基、エチル基、プロピル基、イソプロピル基、ブチル基、s-ブチル基、ペンチル基、シクロペンチル基、ヘキシル基、シクロヘキシル基よりなる群から選ばれたいずれか一つであることを特徴とする、請求項5記載の難燃性樹脂組成物。
- 前記(A)成分のエポキシ樹脂と(B)成分の硬化剤の含有量の割合が、エポキシ樹脂のエポキシ当量と硬化剤の活性水素当量の割合で1:0.5ないし1:2.0であることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の難燃性樹脂組成物。
- 前記(A)成分のエポキシ樹脂と(B)成分の硬化剤の含有量の割合が、エポキシ樹脂のエポキシ当量と硬化剤の活性水素当量の割合で1:0.6ないし1:1.5であることを特徴とする、請求項7記載の難燃性樹脂組成物。
- 前記硬化促進剤が、第三級アミン、第三級ホスフィン、第四級アンモニウム塩、第四級ホスホニウム塩及びイミダゾール化合物よりなる群から選ばれたものであることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の難燃性樹脂組成物。
- 前記硬化促進剤の含有量が、その組成物の総重量を基準に0.02重量%ないし3.0重量%であることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の難燃性樹脂組成物。
- 前記硬化促進剤の含有量が、その組成物の総重量を基準に0.05重量%ないし2.0重量%であることを特徴とする、請求項10記載の難燃性樹脂組成物。
- 前記無機フィラーが、溶融した二酸化ケイ素、結晶化した二酸化ケイ素、石英ガラス粉、滑石粉、酸化アルミニウム粉および炭酸カルシウム粉よりなる群から選ばれたものであることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の難燃性樹脂組成物。
- 添加剤をさらに含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の難燃性樹脂組成物。
- 前記添加剤が、着色剤、カップリング剤、離型剤および抗酸化剤よりなる群から選ばれたものであることを特徴とする、請求項13記載の難燃性樹脂組成物。
