Claims (10)
- 回転可能なガントリに配置されるビーム整形フィルタ組立体(94)であって、
不均一な厚みを有する第1の可動式フィルタ(96)と、
前記第1の可動式フィルタ(96)から独立し、不均一な厚みを有する第2の可動式フィルタ(98)と、
異なるビーム・プロファイル(92)が生成されるように前記可動式フィルタ(96、98)を独立して位置付けるように構成される少なくとも1つのモータ組立体(112、114)と、
を備え、
前記第1の可動式フィルタ(96)は、基部(100)と、該基部(100)よりも薄い尾部(104)と、前記基部(100)を前記尾部(104)に接続する湾曲部分(108)とを有し、前記基部は第1の端において形成され、前記尾部は、前記第1の端と反対側に位置する第2の端まで延在し、
前記尾部は、焦点から高周波電磁エネルギビームを照射するように設計された高周波電磁エネルギー照射源に対応して、前記第1の可動式フィルタ(96)の末端に位置付けられ、
前記基部、前記尾部及び、前記湾曲部は、前記基部によって最大の減弱が規定され、前記尾部によって最小の減弱が規定されるように、減弱プロファイルが生成されるように製造されており、
前記第2の可動式フィルタ(98)は、基部(102)と、該基部(102)よりも薄い尾部(106)と、前記基部(102)を前記尾部(106)に接続する湾曲部分(110)とを有し、前記基部は第1の端において形成され、前記尾部は、前記第1の端と反対側に位置する第2の端まで延在し、
前記第1の可動式フィルタ(96)の前記尾部(104)は、前記高周波電磁エネルギー照射源がその焦点から高周波電磁エネルギビームを照射するときに、前記第2の可動式フィルタ(98)の基部(102)の上に位置付けられ、
前記基部、前記尾部及び、前記湾曲部は、前記基部によって最大の減弱が規定され、前記尾部によって最小の減弱が規定されるように、減弱プロファイルが生成されるように製造されており、
前記第1の可動式フィルタ(96)及び前記第2の可動式フィルタ(98)の少なくとも1つが、放射線画像データ収集におけるビーム(90)を減弱するために高周波電磁エネルギビーム(90)内に配置され、
前記第1の可動式フィルタ(96)は前記第2の可動式フィルタ(98)よりも前記高周波電磁エネルギー照射源の焦点に近く位置付けられることを特徴とするビーム整形フィルタ組立体(94)。 - 前記第2の可動式フィルタ(98)が、前記第1の可動式フィルタ(96)と異なる形状であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビーム整形フィルタ組立体(94)。
- 前記少なくとも1つのモータ組立体(112、114)が更に、CTデータ収集中に可動式フィルタ(96、98)を動的に位置付けるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビーム整形フィルタ組立体(94)。
- 前記少なくとも1つのモータ組立体(112、114)が更に、CTデータ収集前に実行されたスカウト・スキャンに基づくCTデータ収集中に可動式フィルタ(96、98)を動的に位置付けるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のビーム整形フィルタ組立体(94)。
- 前記基部(100、102)の厚みが、前記尾部(104、106)の厚みよりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビーム整形フィルタ組立体(94)。
- 前記基部(100、102)の厚みが30mmであり、前記尾部(104、106)の厚みが0.25mmであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビーム整形フィルタ組立体(94)。
- 前記第1の可動式フィルタ(96)の基部(100)のx方向に沿った長さが45mmであり、前記第1の可動式フィルタ(96)の湾曲部分(108)のx方向に沿った長さが24.9mmであり、前記第1の可動式フィルタ(96)の尾部(104)のx方向に沿った長さが135mmであり、前記第2の可動式フィルタ(98)の基部(102)のx方向に沿った長さが53mmであり、前記第2の可動式フィルタ(98)の尾部(106)のx方向に沿った長さが168mmであり、前記第2の可動式フィルタ(98)の湾曲部分(110)のx方向に沿った長さが34.2mmであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビーム整形フィルタ組立体(94)。
- 走査される被検体を受け入れる開口を有する回転可能なガントリと、
前記被検体に向かって高周波数電磁エネルギービームを照射するように構成された高周波数電磁エネルギー照射源と、
請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載のビーム整形フィルタ組立体(94)と、
前記被検体を通過した高周波数電磁エネルギーを検出するように構成された複数のシンチレータ・セルを備えるシンチレータ・アレイと、
前記シンチレータ・アレイと結合し、対応するシンチレータ・セルからの光出力を検出するように構成された複数の光ダイオードを備える光ダイオード・アレイと、
前記光ダイオード・アレイと結合し、光ダイオード出力を受けるように構成されるデータ収集システムと、
前記データ収集システムと結合し、前記データ収集システムが受けた光ダイオード出力から前記被検体の画像を再構成する画像再構成装置と、
前記高周波数電磁エネルギービーム内に前記第1及び第2の可動式フィルタ(96、98)の少なくとも1つのフィルタを独立して配置することにより、前記高周波数電磁エネルギービームが複数のビーム・プロファイルを有するように調整するように構成される制御装置と、
を含むCTシステム。 - 前記被検体のスカウトスキャンを行い、前記被検体のおおよその形状を該スカウトスキャンにより決定するようにプログラムされたコンピュータを更に含む請求項8に記載のCTシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのフィルタは、前記制御装置に動作的に接続した少なくとも1つのモータに動作的に接続し、前記コンピュータから前記制御装置に送信された制御信号が、前記ビームが複数の可能なビーム・プロファイルから特定のビーム・プロファイルを選択するように前記少なくとも1つのフィルタを位置付けることを前記少なくとも1つのモータに指示する請求項9に記載のCTシステム。
