Description
(a)前記各液体流のそれぞれが通過する多数のスリットが設けられた要素Aと、
(b)前記各液体流が前記多数のスリットを通過することより形成される多数の層状の液体流が所定の順序で層状に合流し、第1の層状液体流を形成する第1の合流部が設けられた要素Bとを有し、
(c)前記要素Aが、それぞれ独立して2つ以上存在し、かつ、前記要素Bがそれぞれ独立して2つ以上存在し、
(d)前記液体流の合流装置に供給される前記各液体流を受け入れ、前記各要素Aに前記各液体流を供給する液溜部が設けられた要素Cを有し、かつ、

かくして、図9において、第3板12bの第1の液体流51aが供給される液溜部22から、第1の液体流51aが、第2板13aのスリット32aへと流入する。更に、第5板12cの第2の液体流51bが供給される液溜部22から、第2の液体流51bが、第4板13bのスリット32aへと流入する。一方、図10において、第3板12bの第1の液体流51aが供給される液溜部22から、第1の液体流51aが、第4板13bのスリット32bへと流入する。更に、第1板12aの第2の液体流51bが供給される液溜部22から、第2の液体流51bが、第2板13aのスリット32bへと流入する。
ここで、Lは、要素Dの流路長[m]、Qは、液体流の流量[t/h]、Sは、要素Dの入り口部の総流路断面積(図12(a)、図15(a)、あるいは、図18(a)における各流路の横断面積の合計)[m2]である。
フィルムの層構成は、ミクロトームを用いて断面を切り出したサンプルについて、電子顕微鏡観察により求めた。すなわち、透過型電子顕微鏡HU−12型((株)日立製作所製)を用い、フィルムの断面を3,000乃至40,000倍に拡大して観察し、断面写真を撮影、層構成および各層厚みを測定した。後述する実施例では十分なコントラストが得られたため実施しなかったが、用いる熱可塑性樹脂の組み合わせによっては、公知の染色技術を用いて、コントラストを高めても良い。
日立製作所製の分光光度計(U−3410 Spectrophotomater)に、直径60(mm)積分球130−0632((株)日立製作所)および10°傾斜スペーサーを取り付け、フィルムの反射率を測定した。なお、バンドパラメーターは2/servoとし、ゲインは3と設定し、187nm乃至2,600nmの範囲を120nm/minの検出速度で測定した。また、反射率を基準化するため、標準反射板として、付属のBaSO4を用いた。
島津製作所製のフローテスター(CFT−500)を用いて、剪断速度100(s−1)の時の溶融粘度を測定した。このとき使用したダイの直径は1mm、測定ストロークは10乃至13(mm)とした。なお、測定回数(n数)は3とし、測定値として、それらの平均値を採用した。
固有粘度が0.65のポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)20wt%と固有粘度が0.62のポリエチレンナフタレート(PEN)80wt%とからなる樹脂。

(b)前記各液体流が前記多数のスリットを通過することより形成される多数の層状の液体流が所定の順序で層状に合流し、第1の層状液体流を形成する第1の合流部が設けられた要素Bとを有し、
(c)前記要素Aが、それぞれ独立して2つ以上存在し、かつ、前記要素Bがそれぞれ独立して2つ以上存在し、
(d)前記液体流の合流装置に供給される前記各液体流を受け入れ、前記各要素Aに前記各液体流を供給する液溜部が設けられた要素Cを有し、かつ、
(e)前記各要素Bにて形成された前記各第1の層状液体流が所定の順序で層状に合流し、第2の層状液体流を形成する第2の合流部が設けられた要素Dを有してなる液体流の合流装置。 - 前記要素Aにおけるスリットの数が、10以上400以下である請求の範囲第1項に記載の液体流の合流装置。
- 前記要素Aにおけるスリットの間隙が、10μm以上30,000μm以下である請求の範囲第1項に記載の液体流の合流装置。
- 前記要素Cが3つ以上存在し、同じ種類の前記液体流を2つ以上の前記要素Cに供給するための流路分割部が、前記同じ種類の液体流の供給源と前記要素Cとの間に設けられている請求の範囲第1項に記載の液体流の合流装置。
- 前記要素Aと前記要素Bとの対のうち少なくとも2つ対において、前記要素Bによって形成される前記第1の層状液体流における前記各液体流の界面が、互いに平行になるように、前記対が配置されている請求の範囲第1項に記載の液体流の合流装置。
- 隣接する前記要素Aの間に、前記要素Cが配置されている請求の範囲第1項に記載の液体流の合流装置。
- 前記要素Cから前記要素Aのスリットへ前記液体流を供給する流路の形状が、微細な孔である請求の範囲第1項に記載の液体流の合流装置。
- 前記要素Aにおけるスリットにおいて、液体供給面側と液体非供給面側のスリットの縦断面積が異なる請求の範囲第1項に記載の液体流の合流装置。
- 前記要素Aにおけるスリットの幅が、10mm以上200mm以下である請求の範囲第1項に記載の液体流の合流装置。
- 前記要素Aのスリット長さが、20mm以上200mm以下である請求の範囲第1項に記載の液体流の合流装置。
- 前記要素Aのスリット形状が、段階的に変化している部位を含んでいる請求の範囲第1項に記載の液体流の合流装置。
- 前記要素Bから前記要素Dへ至る前記第1の層状液体流の流路断面形状が、四角である請求の範囲第1項に記載の液体流の合流装置。
- 前記四角の角の丸みRが、10μm以上1mm以下である請求の範囲第12項に記載の液体流の合流装置。
- 少なくとも2つの液体流を、請求の範囲第1乃至13項のいずれかに記載の液体流の合流装置に供給し、該液体流の合流装置から導出された前記第2の層状液体流から層状フィルムを形成する多層フィルム製造方法。
