Claims (23)
- 車両のドライバの目及び/又は頭の向きの特徴を分析する方法であって、
車両の乗客部内のスペースに対するドライバの頭の位置を検出し及び定量化し、
ドライバの頭の基準位置を設けて、それに対するドライバの関心がある領域/対象の位置の相互参照を行えるようにし、
前記基準位置に対する前記ドライバの頭の位置の定量化を正規化して、(1)ドライバの目の向きと(2)ドライバの頭の向きのうちの少なくとも一つに関して検知した情報に基づいてドライバの関心がある一つ以上の位置を推定できるようにすることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記ドライバの関心がある一つ以上の位置の推定の基礎として、前記ドライバの目の向きに関連する検知された情報を優先的に利用し、
前記ドライバの目の向きに関連する検知された情報の品質が、所定の注視信頼境界値より下に低下すると、前記ドライバの関心がある一つ以上の位置の推定の基礎として、前記ドライバの頭の向きに関連する検知された情報の利用に切り替えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 - 前記ドライバの目が閉じられたときに、前記注視信頼境界値を超えることを特徴とする請求項2記載の方法。
- 前記ドライバの頭の向きが、許容される変位量を超えて目の向く方向から離間するときに、前記注視信頼境界値を超えることを特徴とする請求項2記載の方法。
- 前記基準位置に対する前記ドライバのヘッドの位置の定量化の前記正規化を、数学的な変換を用いて行うことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記数学的な変換を、車両のコンピュータを用いてほぼリアルタイムで行うことを特徴とする請求項5記載の方法。
- 前記基準位置に対するドライバの関心がある領域/対象のあり得る位置を規定することを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記基準位置に対するドライバの関心がある領域/対象のあり得る位置を、検知されたドライバの目の特徴に基づいて規定することを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記基準位置に対するドライバの関心がある領域/対象のあり得る位置の規定を、検知されたドライバの目の注視頻度の特徴に基づいて確立することを特徴とする請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記注視頻度の前記確立を、収集した注視密度の特徴に基づいて定量化することを特徴とする請求項9記載の方法。
- 前記基準位置に対するドライバの関心がある領域/対象の予め設定され又は規定されたあり得る位置に対して、前記検知されたドライバの目の特徴をマッピングすることによって、ドライバの目の特徴に基づくドライバの関心がある対象を認定することを特徴とする請求項1から10のうちのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記マッピングされたドライバの目の特徴に基づいて、車両によって実行される予め規定された性能に適応させることを特徴とする請求項11記載の方法。
- 前記ドライバの目の向きに関連する検知された情報が、専ら注視角度の大きさによって構成されたことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記ドライバの目の向きに関連する検知された情報が、注視角度の大きさを有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記注視角度の大きさを、検知された眼球の向きに基づく注視方向ベクトルから取得することを特徴とする請求項13記載の方法。
- 前記基準位置に対するドライバの関心がある領域/対象のあり得る位置を、検知された頭の向きに基づいて規定することを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記基準位置に対するドライバの関心がある領域/対象のあり得る位置の規定を、顔の向く方向が推定される検知された頭の向きに基づいて確立することを特徴とする請求項16記載の方法。
- 各々が特定の検知された頭の向き、つまり、顔の向く方向を参照する複数のデータポイントを収集し、前記データポイントに基づいて、ドライバが所定の方向を見る頻度を表す密度マッピングを確立することを特徴とする請求項17記載の方法。
- 前記基準位置に対するドライバの関心がある領域/対象の予め規定/定義されたあり得る位置の前記マッピングを相関させることによって、ドライバの関心がある対象/領域を識別することを特徴とする請求項16記載の方法。
- 前記相関に基づいて、車両によって実行される予め規定された性能に適合することを特徴とする請求項19記載の方法。
- 前記頭の向きに関連する検知された情報が、専ら顔の向く方向の角度の量によって構成されることを特徴とする請求項16記載の方法。
- 前記頭の向きに関連する検知された情報が、顔の向く方向の角度の量を有することを特徴とする請求項16記載の方法。
- 前記注視角度の大きさが、検知された頭の向きに基づく注視方向のベクトルから取得されることを特徴とする請求項21記載の方法。
