Description
(1) ステンレス箔を加工してなるメタルハニカム基材に触媒層が形成された触媒コンバータであって、前記ステンレス箔同士の接合部が拡散接合からなり、前記ステンレス箔の表面に前駆体皮膜が形成されており、該前駆体皮膜に少なくとも1種類以上のスピネルを含有しており、触媒層にアルカリ金属成分を含有していることを特徴とする優れた高温耐酸化性を有する排気ガス浄化用触媒コンバータ。
(2) 前記前駆体皮膜の全体積に対するスピネルの総和体積の割合をb%とすると、bが5%以上95%以下である(1)に記載の排気ガス浄化用触媒コンバータ。
(3) 前記前駆体皮膜とステンレス箔に含有する全Al濃度が、質量%で、6.5%超13%以下である(1)に記載の排気ガス浄化用触媒コンバータ。
(4) 前記前駆体皮膜がさらに、結晶構造による分類でα、γ、θ、χ、δ、η、κアルミナの内、少なくとも1種類以上のアルミナを含有していることを特徴とする(1)〜(3)のいずれか1項に記載の排気ガス浄化用触媒コンバータ。
(5) 前記前駆体皮膜の全体積に対するγ、θ、χ、δ、η、κアルミナの総和体積の割合をa%とすると、aが5%以上95%以下である(4)に記載の排気ガス浄化用触媒コンバータ。
ハニカム基材を構成するステンレス箔(D箔)を用意して、各種の前駆体皮膜をステンレス箔表面に付与した後に、アルカリ金属成分を含有する触媒層を形成させて、この状態における900℃の高温耐酸化性を調べた。
D箔:20%Cr−8.0%Al−0.05%Zr−0.1%La−bal.Fe
であった。箔の厚みは、25μmである。
実施例1に示したNo.24、25、26、28、29、30、31の触媒層を形成していないD箔を用いて、メタルハニカム基材を製造、さらに触媒層を形成して排気ガス浄化用触媒コンバータを製造し、本発明の効果を確認する実験を行なった。
Claims (5)
- ステンレス箔を加工してなるメタルハニカム基材に触媒層が形成された触媒コンバータであって、前記ステンレス箔同士の接合部が拡散接合からなり、前記ステンレス箔の表面に前駆体皮膜が形成されており、該前駆体皮膜に少なくとも1種類以上のスピネルを含有しており、触媒層にアルカリ金属成分を含有していることを特徴とする優れた高温耐酸化性を有する排気ガス浄化用触媒コンバータ。
- 前記前駆体皮膜の全体積に対するスピネルの総和体積の割合をb%とすると、bが5%以上95%以下である請求項1に記載の排気ガス浄化用触媒コンバータ。
- 前記前駆体皮膜とステンレス箔に含有する全Al濃度が、質量%で、6.5%超13%以下である請求項1に記載の排気ガス浄化用触媒コンバータ。
- 前記前駆体皮膜がさらに、結晶構造による分類でα、γ、θ、χ、δ、η、κアルミナの内、少なくとも1種類以上のアルミナを含有していることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の排気ガス浄化用触媒コンバータ。
- 前記前駆体皮膜の全体積に対するγ、θ、χ、δ、η、κアルミナの総和体積の割合をa%とすると、aが5%以上95%以下である請求項4に記載の排気ガス浄化用触媒コンバータ。
