Description
二重巻き締め部位60において、容器折り返し部24が蓋体折り返し部34の外面を覆うように形成されている点において上述した実施形態とは異なる。すなわち、二重巻き締め部位(接合部)60は、電池容器20のカール部を蓋体30のフランジ部に巻き込むように圧着することによって形成され、その結果、蓋体30の外面から上下方向の外側に突出した凸形状となる。
電極体80は、通常のリチウムイオン電池の電極体と同様、正極シートと負極シートとを計2枚のセパレータシートと共に積層し捲回させた捲回電極体80である。上記捲回電極体80の製造に際しては、まず、正極シートと負極シートを計2枚のセパレータシートと共に重ね合わせ、さらに当該正極シートと負極シートとを捲回して作製する。なお、捲回に先立ち、正極シートの正極活物質層を除去して正極集電体を露出させ、この正極集電体露出部分(電極体の正極)82に正極集電部材81を付設する。また、負極シートの負極活物質層を除去して負極集電体を露出させ、この負極集電体露出部分(電極体の負極)84に蓋体集電部材83を付設する。この実施形態では正極集電部材81および負極集電部材83は箔状の集電タブであり、それぞれ一束にまとめられて正極端子40および負極端子42に電気的に接続される。

Claims (6)
- 少なくとも一端に開口部を有する電池容器と、
前記電池容器の開口部に取り付けられる蓋体と
を備える密閉型電池であって、
前記電池容器と前記蓋体とは、前記電池容器の開口部周縁部分と前記蓋体の外周部分とが二重巻き締め方式によって相互に接合されており、
前記電池容器の開口部における周縁には、容器折り返し部が形成されており、
前記蓋体の外周には、前記容器折り返し部と一体となる蓋体折り返し部が形成されており、当該蓋体折り返し部の先端部分は、前記容器折り返し部により狭持されており、
ここで、前記容器折り返し部の先端部分と前記蓋体折り返し部の折曲部分の内側との隙間には当該隙間を塞ぐ第1のシール部材が配置され、且つ、
前記蓋体折り返し部の先端部分と前記容器折り返し部の折曲部分の内側との隙間には当該隙間を塞ぐ第2のシール部材が配置され、
前記第1のシール部材と前記第2のシール部材とが異なる材料から構成されていることを特徴とする、密閉型電池。 - 前記第1のシール部材及び第2のシール部材のうち、前記接合された部分において電池容器の内部から近い側のシール部材は他方のシール部材よりも耐電解液腐食性が高い材料から構成されている、請求項1に記載の密閉型電池。
- 前記密閉型電池は、当該電池の外面に冷却用媒体を接触させた状態で使用され得るものであり、
前記第1のシール部材及び第2のシール部材のうち、前記接合された部分において電池容器の内部から遠い側のシール部材は他方のシール部材よりも耐冷却用媒体腐食性が高い材料から構成されている、請求項1または2に記載の密閉型電池。 - 前記冷却用媒体は、油類であり、
前記耐冷却用媒体腐食性が高い材料は、耐油腐食性が高い材料である、請求項3に記載の密閉型電池。 - 前記蓋体は表面に絶縁層が形成された金属製の蓋体であり、当該蓋体には前記電池容器内に収容された正極及び負極を備える電極体に電気的に接続された電極端子が取り付けられている、請求項1〜4の何れか一つに記載の密閉型電池。
