Description
このような構成によれば、蓋体に設けられた突起部の一部が貫通孔方向に突き出ているため、絶縁シール部材を好適に集電端子の方向に押しつける(圧縮する)ことができる。このため、長期にわたって集電端子と絶縁シール部材との間のシール性(以下、単に「長期シール性」ともいう)を確保することができる。典型的には、前記突起部は、蓋体の貫通孔に近い最端部(すなわち、貫通孔の周縁部)に位置する。
前記角度αを40°以上70°以下に設定することにより、絶縁シール部材をさらに好適に集電端子の方向に押しつける(圧縮する)ことができる。すなわち、電池構築時において蓋体に集電端子をかしめて固定する際には前記貫通孔の孔軸方向に外力が加わるところ、かかる角度αが40°以上70°以下となるように突起部が形成されていることにより、当該突起部と集電端子とによって絶縁シール部材を貫通孔の孔軸方向および径方向のいずれにも圧縮することができる。このため、絶縁シール部材が集電端子方向に強く押しつけられ(圧縮され)、絶縁シール部材と集電端子との間に隙間が発生することを抑止して高い長期シール性を実現することができる。
かかる構成の突起部によると、電池構築時において蓋体に集電端子をかしめて固定する際に、絶縁シール部材を貫通孔の孔軸方向および径方向に特に強く圧縮する(密着させる)ことができる。このため、絶縁シール部材と集電端子との間に隙間が発生することを高レベルに防止してより高い長期シール性を実現することができる。
さらに、図4に示すように、基準線Xと突起部710における貫通孔242の孔軸から遠い方向にある傾斜面Y2である線分との間の角度であって傾斜面Y1に近い方に生じる角度βが、前記角度αよりも鋭角(α>β)であることが好ましい。換言すれば、突起部710における貫通孔242の孔軸から遠い方向にある傾斜面Y2は、突起部710における貫通孔242の孔軸に近い方向にある傾斜面Y1に比べて前記貫通孔の方向により傾いていることが好ましい。

Claims (3)
- 電極体と、
開口部を有し、前記電極体を収容するケースと、
前記開口部を塞ぎ、貫通孔を有する蓋体と、
前記ケース内部で前記電極体と電気的に接続される内部端子部、および前記蓋体の貫通孔を挿通して前記蓋体の外部に突出する突出部を有する集電端子と、
前記開口部を塞いだ状態での前記蓋体の厚さ方向におけるケース外側を上面およびケース内側を下面としたときの該蓋体の下面と接し、前記蓋体と前記集電端子との間をシールする絶縁シール部材とを備え、
前記集電端子と前記蓋体とは、前記集電端子の突出部の上端がかしめ広げられた構造をとって、かしめ固定されており、
前記蓋体は、前記蓋体の下面から突出し、前記貫通孔を取り囲む突起部を有し、
ここで前記突起部は、該貫通孔に一部が突き出ており、該一部が該貫通孔に突き出た位置において、該貫通孔の開口径が最も狭くなっている、密閉型電池。 - 前記貫通孔の孔軸方向の断面において、前記蓋体の下面に沿う基準線Xと前記突起部における前記貫通孔の孔軸に近い方向にある傾斜面Y1である線分との間の角度であって鋭角となる方の角度αが40°以上70°以下である、請求項1に記載の密閉型電池。
- 前記貫通孔の孔軸方向の断面において、前記蓋体の下面に沿う基準線Xと前記突起部における前記貫通孔の孔軸から遠い方向にある傾斜面Y2である線分との間の角度であって前記傾斜面Y1に近い方に生じる角度βが、前記角度αよりも鋭角(α>β)であり、
前記突起部における前記貫通孔の孔軸から遠い方向にある傾斜面Y2は、前記突起部における前記貫通孔の孔軸に近い方向にある傾斜面Y1に比べて前記貫通孔の方向により傾いている、請求項2に記載の密閉型電池。
