(10)前記構造物の少なくとも一部の前記実効高さが、前記構造物の長さに沿って、前記公称高さの2%〜12%の量だけ変化する上記(1)に記載の光学フィルム。
(11)前記公称周期が前記公称高さの4〜40倍の間にある上記(10)に記載の光学フィルム。
(12)前記構造物の少なくとも一部の前記実効高さが、前記構造物の長さに沿って、前記公称高さの4%〜8%の量だけ変化する上記(10)に記載の光学フィルム。
(13)前記対向する面が艶消し面である上記(1)に記載の光学フィルム。
(14)構造面および対向する面を具備する光学フィルムであって、前記構造面がその上に複数の構造物を備え、前記構造物が公称高さおよび実効高さを備え、前記構造物の少なくとも一部の前記実効高さが、前記公称高さの少なくとも2%のランダム変動を有する光学フィルム。
(15)構造面および対向する面を具備する光学フィルムであって、前記構造面がその上に複数の構造物を備え、前記構造物が公称高さおよび実効高さを備え、前記構造物の少なくとも一部の前記実効高さが、前記光学フィルムの小さな外見上の欠陥を実質的に覆うのに十分な量および公称周期によって変化する光学フィルム。
(16)前記構造物の少なくとも一部の前記実効高さが、前記構造物の前記公称高さの8倍又はそれ以下の最大寸法を有する外見上の欠陥を実質的に覆うのに十分な量および公称周期によって変化する上記(15)に記載の光学フィルム。
(17)構造面および対向する面を具備する光学フィルムであって、前記対向する面がそれに関連する平面を備え、前記構造面がその上に複数の構造物を備え、前記構造物が公称高さを備え、前記構造物が前記公称高さの40倍未満の公称周期によって前記平面からの距離を変化させる光学フィルム。
(18)構造面および対向する面を具備する光学フィルムであって、前記対向する面がそれに関連する平面を備え、前記構造面がその上に複数の構造物を備え、前記構造物が、前記距離が変化する周期によって連続的に変化する前記平面からの距離にある光学フィルム。
(19)前記距離が最大距離と最小距離との間で変化する上記(18)に記載の光学フィルム。
(20)前記周期がランダムに変化する上記(18)に記載の光学フィルム。
(21)構造面および対向する面を具備する光学フィルムであって、前記対向する面がそれに関連する平面を備え、前記構造面がその上に複数の構造物を備え、前記構造物が、前記対向する面に関連する前記平面に対する垂線と第1の所定のグループの角度にある角度を形成するとともに、前記対向する面を経て前記フィルムに入射する光を反射し、前記対向する面に関連する前記平面に対する前記垂線に対して第2の所定のグループの角度にある角度を形成するとともに、前記光学フィルムに入射する光を屈折し、前記構造面を経て前記光学フィルムから射出する光の大部分が、光入口くさびより小さい光出口くさびで射出するようになっており、前記構造物が公称高さおよび実効高さを備え、前記構造物の少なくとも一部の前記実効高さが、前記公称高さの40倍未満の変動を有する公称周期によって連続的に変化する光学フィルム。
(22)構造面および対向する面を具備する光学フィルムであって、前記対向する面がそれに関連する平面を備え、前記構造面がその上に複数の構造物を備え、前記構造物が、前記対向する面に関連する前記平面に対する垂線と第1の所定のグループの角度にある角度を形成するとともに、前記対向する面を経て前記フィルムに入射する光を反射し、前記対向する面に関連する前記平面に対する前記垂線に対して第2の所定のグループの角度にある角度を形成するとともに、前記光学フィルムに入射する光を屈折し、前記構造面を経て前記光学フィルムから射出する光の大部分が、光入口くさびより小さい光出口くさびで射出するようになっており、前記構造物が公称高さおよび実効高さを備え、前記構造物の少なくとも一部の前記実効高さが、前記光学フィルムにおける前記公称高さの8倍以下の最大寸法を有する外見上の欠陥を実質的に覆うのに十分な量および周期によって変化する光学フィルム。
(23)面光源と、
それに関連する光出口くさびを備えた構造面およびそれに関連する光入口くさびを有する対向する面を備え、前記光出口くさびが前記光入口くさびより狭く、前記対向する面が前記面光源に面し、前記構造面がその上に構造物を備え、前記構造物が実効高さおよび公称高さを備え、前記構造物の少なくとも一部の前記実効高さが、前記公称高さの40倍未満の変動を有する公称周期によって連続的に変化する光学フィルムと、
前記光学フィルムによって前記面光源から隔てられる光ゲート素子と、を具備するディスプレイ。
(24)前記構造面材料と前記面光源との間に光学拡散体をさらに含む上記(23)に記載のディスプレイ。
(25)前記光ゲート素子が液晶素子を含む上記(23)に記載のディスプレイ。
(26)前記構造面材料に対向する前記面光源の側面に反射体をさらに含む上記(23)に記載のディスプレイ。
(27)前記光ゲート素子が液晶素子を含む上記(26)に記載のディスプレイ。
(28)前記構造面材料と前記面光源との間に光学拡散体をさらに含む上記(27)に記載のディスプレイ。
(29)光学フィルムを製作するための工具を製作する方法であって、前記方法が、ダイヤモンド工具を用いて金属ロールに公称深さおよび実効深さを有する溝をねじ切りするステップを備え、前記ダイヤモンド工具が高速工具サーボアクチュエータによって支持され、実効深さを連続的に変化させるために、前記高速工具サーボアクチュエータがランダム信号によって励起される方法。
Claims (1)
- 構造面および対向する面を具備する光学フィルムであって、前記対向する面がそれに関連する平面を備え、前記構造面がその上に複数のリニアプリズムを備え、前記リニアプリズムの少なくとも一部の頂角と前記平面との間の距離が前記リニアプリズムの長さに沿ってランダムに変化し、前記ランダムな変動が平均高さおよび平均周期を有し、前記平均周期がリニアプリズムの平均高さの4〜40倍の間にある、光学フィルム。
