前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に導入される排気に還元剤を供給する還元剤供給手段と、
前記各分流通路を通過する前記排気の流量を変更する排気流量変更手段と、
前記内燃機関から排出されるとともに前記排気通路に流入するNOx量が所定量より少ない場合に、前記還元剤供給手段から前記還元剤を前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に供給させた後、前記還元剤が供給された前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒が設けられている分流通路を通過する排気の流量を他の分流通路を通過する排気の流量よりも前記排気流量変更手段が減少させることによって該吸蔵還元型NOx触媒の性能を再生する性能再生処理を実施する再生手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする。
気中に排出されることによってエミッションが過度に悪化してしまうNOx量に対して所定のマージンを見込んだNOx量としても良く、予め一定値に定めておいても良い。

Claims (6)
- 一端が内燃機関に接続されて該内燃機関からの排気が通過する排気通路と、
前記排気通路の途中の分岐部において分岐される複数の分流通路と、
前記複数の分流通路の少なくとも一に設けられるとともに、流入する排気の空燃比がリーンのときには排気中のNOxを吸蔵し、流入する排気の空燃比がリッチで還元剤が存在する時には前記吸蔵されたNOxを還元する吸蔵還元型NOx触媒と、
前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に導入される排気に還元剤を供給する還元剤供給手段と、
前記各分流通路を通過する前記排気の流量を変更する排気流量変更手段と、
前記内燃機関から排出されるとともに前記排気通路に流入するNOx量が所定量より少ない場合に、前記還元剤供給手段から前記還元剤を前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に供給させた後、前記還元剤が供給された前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒が設けられている分流通路を通過する排気の流量を他の分流通路を通過する排気の流量よりも前記排気流量変更手段が減少させることによって該吸蔵還元型NOx触媒の性能を再生する性能再生処理を実施する再生手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 前記内燃機関での燃焼に用いられる燃料の供給を停止させる場合には、該燃料の供給量および吸入空気量を徐々に減少させるとともに、
前記性能再生処理が実施される吸蔵還元型NOx触媒が設けられている分流通路に流入する排気の流量が、前記還元剤供給手段から供給される還元剤を該吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に導入させるために必要な所定の流量以上のときに、
前記再生手段は前記還元剤を前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に供給させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 前記内燃機関での燃焼に用いられる燃料の供給を停止させる場合には、該燃料の供給量を徐々に減少させるとともにスロットル開度を徐々に小さくさせ、
前記スロットル開度が零になる前に、前記再生手段は前記還元剤を前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に供給させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 前記内燃機関での燃焼に用いられる燃料の供給が停止された後であって、前記性能再生処理が実施される吸蔵還元型NOx触媒が設けられている分流通路に流入する排気の流量が、前記還元剤供給手段から供給される還元剤を該吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に導入させるために必要な所定の流量よりも少ないときには、
前記排気の流量を前記所定の流量以上にした後に、前記再生手段は前記還元剤を前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に供給させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 前記内燃機関での燃焼に用いられる燃料の供給が停止された後であって、スロットル開度が零であるときには、
前記スロットル開度を所定期間に亘り零以外の所定開度に変更させるとともに、
前記スロットル開度が所定開度に変更された後に、前記再生手段は前記還元剤を前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に供給させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 前記性能再生処理は前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に吸蔵されたNOxを放出させるNOx還元処理または前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に吸蔵されたSOxを放出させるSOx被毒回復処理であることを特徴とする請求項1から5の何れかに記載の内燃機関の排気浄化システム。
