Description
本発明の第1の実施の形態に係る荷電粒子線照射装置を、図1および図2の添付図面を参照して説明する。図1は、本実施の形態に係る荷電粒子線照射装置の照射部分を示す図である。図2は、本実施の形態に係る荷電粒子線照射装置と従来技術による荷電粒子線照射装置とを比較した説明図であり、(a)は本発明に係る荷電粒子線照射装置を示す図であり、(b)は従来技術による荷電粒子線照射装置を示す図である。
次に、図3は本発明の第2の実施の形態を示している。図3は、本実施の形態に係る回転ガントリと従来技術による回転ガントリとを比較するための説明図である。

Claims (2)
- 加速器で加速された荷電粒子を標的に向けて偏向させる偏向電磁石と、前記偏向電磁石を通過した荷電粒子をスキャンして前記標的に面照射させる照射野形成電磁石とを備える荷電粒子線照射装置において、
前記偏向電磁石は、前記荷電粒子のビームを前記偏向させると共に、偏向電磁場の大きさを増減させることにより、前記ビームの偏向軌跡を含む面と平行でかつ前記ビームの進行方向に対しては直角なX方向にスキャンさせ、
前記照射野形成電磁石は、前記ビームを前記ビームの進行方向と前記X方向に対して直角のY方向成分を含んでスキャンさせ、
前記偏向電磁石による前記ビームのX方向のスキャンと、前記照射野形成電磁石による前記ビームのY方向成分を含んでのスキャンとで、前記標的に対して照射を行う
ことを特徴とする荷電粒子線照射装置。 - 請求項1に記載の荷電粒子線照射装置を用いたことを特徴とする回転ガントリ。
