Abstract
【解決手段】 四極電磁石4,5,6を経由して最終偏向電磁石7内に入射してきた荷電粒子ビーム2は、最終偏向電磁石7内で生じる偏向電磁場を例えば一定の周期をもって増減させることにより、最終偏向電磁石7内を円弧状に進行しつつ、X方向の成分を含んでスキャンされる。そして、X方向の成分を含んでスキャンされた荷電粒子ビーム2はY方向のワブラー電磁石8を通過する間にY方向の成分を含んでスキャンされる。これにより荷電粒子ビーム2は、X方向の成分とY方向の成分を含んでスキャンされ、標的9に対して例えば円を描くように照射される。

Description
本発明の第1の実施の形態に係る荷電粒子線照射装置を、図1および図2の添付図面を参照して説明する。図1は、本実施の形態に係る荷電粒子線照射装置の照射部分を示す図である。図2は、本実施の形態に係る荷電粒子線照射装置と従来技術による荷電粒子線照射装置とを比較した説明図であり、(a)は本発明に係る荷電粒子線照射装置を示す図であり、(b)は従来技術による荷電粒子線照射装置を示す図である。
次に、図3は本発明の第2の実施の形態を示している。図3は、本実施の形態に係る回転ガントリと従来技術による回転ガントリとを比較するための説明図である。

Claims (2)
- 加速器で加速された荷電粒子を標的に向けて偏向させる偏向電磁石と、前記偏向電磁石を通過した荷電粒子をスキャンして前記標的に面照射させる照射野形成電磁石とを備える荷電粒子線照射装置において、
前記偏向電磁石は前記荷電粒子のビームを前記偏向させると共に、前記ビームの偏向軌跡を含む面と平行でかつ前記ビームの進行方向に対しては直角なX方向にスキャンさせ、
前記照射野形成電磁石は、前記ビームを前記ビームの進行方向と前記X方向に対して直角のY方向成分を含んでスキャンさせることを特徴とする荷電粒子線照射装置。 - 請求項1に記載の荷電粒子線照射装置を用いたことを特徴とする回転ガントリ。
