Description
本発明は、2004年10月13日に出願された仮特許出願第60/618,637号「Recovered High Strength Multi-Layer Aluminum Brazing Sheet Products」の優先権を主張する。また、前記出願の開示は参照を以て本願に組み込まれるものとする。
本発明は、熱処理及び非熱処理アルミニウム合金製品の分野に関する。特に、本発明は、複層ブレージングシート製品及びこれらブレージングシート製品を製造する方法に関する。より具体的には、本発明は、例えば熱交換器などの高強度用として有用なブレージングシート製品に関する。
アルミニウムブレージングシート、特に自動車用熱交換器に用いられるブレージングシートから作られる製品の軽量化及びコスト低減への要請が高まっている。ろう付け(ブレージング)後の降伏強度がより高いブレージングシート製品が要請される理由は、これらの高強度製品は薄肉化を実現できるからである。要するに、高強度ブレージングシート製品により、熱交換器をより薄く作ることが可能となる、それゆえ、より軽量のブレージングシートを用いることにより、自動車の全体構造を軽量化することができる。
本発明は、コア合金及びクラッド合金と、クラッド厚さと、処理工程の選択に関するもので、これらの組合せによって製造された成形可能な耐食性アルミニウムブレージングシート合金製品は、良好なろう付け性を有し、クラッド形成フロー(cladding flow)に優れており、局部的エロージョンの発生率は驚くほど低く、ろう付け直後の引張強度は驚くほど高い。本発明のブレージングシート製品は、Mgを含有するものと、Mgを含有しないものがあり、層の構成及び厚さも異なる(例えば、コア合金層、中間ライナー層及びクラッド層であり、例えばアルミニウム協会4343合金クラッド層である)
この明細書では、特に明記しない限り、合金の元素濃度は、重量パーセントで示している。この明細書で使用する「実質的に含まない(substantially free)」という語は、組成物に積極的に添加した合金化元素ではなく、不純物として、及び/又は、製造設備との接触によって浸出することにより、微量の元素が最終合金製品に含まれることを意味する。また、あらゆる数値範囲に関しては、そのような範囲は、規定した範囲の最小値と最大値の間のあらゆる数値が含まれるものと理解されるべきである。例えば、Si約5〜約15重量%とは、約5.1、5.2、5.3及び5.5重量%の他、14.5、14.7及び14.9重量%までのあらゆる中間値を含むものと理解されるべきである。これと同じことは、この明細書に記載された他の数値特性、相対厚さ及び/又は元素範囲の各々に対して当てはまる。

Claims (15)
- Siに対する(Mn+Fe)の比が、1.4よりも大きいアルミニウム協会3xxx系合金からなる均質化されていないコアと、
均質化されていないコアの1つの面に接合され、1xxx系合金からなる中間ライナーと、
4xxx系合金からなり、中間ライナーに接合され、ろう付け層として供されるクラッドと、
を具える、金属製品であって、
金属製品の均質化されていないコアは、少なくとも一部分に回復した微細組織を有し、
金属製品は、ろう付け前に冷間加工率15%以下の冷間加工が施され、均質化されていないコアは、ろう付け工程中、再結晶に対して高い抵抗性を有する、金属製品。 - 均質化されていないコアは、Siが0.1重量%よりも多いアルミニウム協会3XXX系合金を含んでいる請求項1の金属製品。
- 均質化されていないコアは、Mn:0.5重量%〜1.7重量%、Si:0.1重量%〜1.2重量%、Fe:2重量%未満、Mg:2.5重量%未満、Cu:1.2重量%未満、Zn:3重量%未満、Ti:0〜0.3重量%及びZr:0.3重量%未満を含有し、Ni、V、Cr及びAgの0.2重量%未満の含有は許容される請求項1の金属製品。
- 均質化されていないコアは、Mn濃度が0.8重量%よりも多く、Si濃度が0.5重量%よりも多いアルミニウム協会3XXX系合金を含んでいる請求項1の金属製品。
- 均質化されていないコアは、厚さが100ミクロン〜9.0mmである請求項1の金属製品。
- クラッドは、Si:4.0重量%〜17.0重量%、Fe:0.01重量%〜1.0重量%、Mn:0.5重量%以下、Cu:0.5重量%以下、Zn:2.0重量%以下、Mg:2.0重量%以下及びIn:0.2重量%以下を含んでいる請求項1の金属製品。
- クラッドは、Si:6重量%〜13重量%、Fe:0.5重量%未満、Mn:0.15重量%未満、Cu:0.3重量%未満を含んでいる請求項1の金属製品。
- クラッドは、アルミニウム協会4343合金である請求項1の金属製品。
- クラッドは、厚さが15ミクロン〜250ミクロンである請求項1の金属製品。
- 内側ライナー及びクラッドとは反対側にあり、均質化されていないコアの面に接合された外側ライナーであって、Mg又はZnの濃度が、均質化されていないコアでの濃度よりも高い組成を有し、固相線温度は550℃よりも高い合金を含んでいる外側ライナーをさらに具えている請求項1の金属製品。
- 外側ライナーの厚さは、15ミクロン〜350ミクロンである請求項10の金属製品。
- 外側ライナーと、均質化されていないコアとの間に、第2の中間ライナーをさらに具えている請求項10の金属製品。
- 金属製品は、熱交換器に用いられる請求項1の金属製品。
- ろう付け後、引張降伏強度(TYS)は85MPaよりも大きく、最大引張強さ(UTS)は160MPaよりも大きい請求項1の金属製品。
- 中間ライナーは、Si:0.39重量%〜0.40重量%、Fe:0.10重量%〜0.20重量%、Cu:0.03重量%以下、Mn:0.05重量%以下、Mg:0.03重量%以下、Zn:0.02重量%以下、Ti:0.05重量%以下を含み、残部Alからなる請求項1の金属製品。
