Description
曇り度はASTM D1003に準じて求め、入射光束から2.5度を超えて逸れた透過光の割合(%)で定義する。透明度は入射光束から2.5度未満逸れた透過光の割合(%)で定義する。曇り度/透明度の測定値は、ビーワイケー−ガードナー(Byk−Gardner)社製「ヘイズーガード(登録商標)プラス(HGプラス)」(Haze−gard plus(HG Plus))又はハンターラブ(Hunter Lab)社製「ウルトラスキャン(登録商標)スフィアスペクトロフォトメーター(ウルトラスキャン)」(Ultrascan Sphere Spectrophotometer (Ultrascan))いずれかを用いて求めた。
メジアン粒径が3.5μmのCaCO3を用いて半透明の白色PVBシートを作製した。PVB乾燥樹脂と、テトラエチレングリコールジヘプタノエート(4G7)と、炭酸カルシウムとを呼称温度210℃の2軸スクリュー押出し機に調整しながら投入した。得られた厚さ30ミルのシートを冷却ロール上で急冷した。最終組成物には呼称値で、PVBが70.3重量%、4G7が27.8重量%、炭酸カルシウムが1.9重量%含まれていた。2片の透明ガラスの間にこのシート材料を挟み、1対のニップロールの間を通して脱気を行い、さらにエアーオートクレーブにいれて温度135℃、圧力200psiで20分間の保持サイクルでオートクレーブ処理を施し積層体を作製した。透明度、曇り度及び光の透過率(%)を「HGプラス(HG Plus)」で測定した。結果を表1に示す。
PVB乾燥樹脂と、4G7可塑剤と、炭酸カルシウムとをタンブルミキサーで4時間「乾式」混合し、呼称温度210℃の1軸スクリュー押出し機に投入し押出し成形を行った。得られた溶融物をプレス成形によって厚さ30ミルのシートにした。比較例1と同様にして積層体を作製した。透明度、曇り度及び光の透過率(%)を「HGプラス(HG Plus)」で測定した。結果を表1に示す。
Claims (3)
- 少なくとも2片のガラスとその間に配置される中間層組成物とを含むガラス積層体であって、前記中間層が、(1)ポリビニルブチラールと粒径10μm未満の着色剤粒子とを含有し、(2)25〜90%の曇り度を有し、(3)入射光の少なくとも75%を、前記中間層を通して透過させることができ、(4)少なくとも20%の透明度を有することを特徴とするガラス積層体。
- 少なくとも2片のガラス又はガラス積層体の代替品として窓や扉で使用される高分子材料とその間に配置される中間層組成物とを含むガラス様積層体であって、前記中間層が、(1)ポリビニルブチラールと粒径10μm未満の着色剤粒子とを含有し、(2)25〜90%の曇り度を有し、(3)入射光の少なくとも75%を、前記中間層を通して透過させることができ、(4)少なくとも20%の透明度を有することを特徴とするガラス様積層体。
- 積層ガラスに使用するPVBシートの製造方法であって、(a)制御された速度で着色剤を押出機に投入する工程と、(b)ポリビニルブチラール樹脂、着色剤、可塑剤及び他の任意の添加剤との同時押出しを行う工程と、(c)溶融したシート組成物を急冷して、積層ガラス用途に最適な寸法安定性を有するPVBシートを得る工程とを含み、前期中間層が(1)25〜90%の曇り度を有し、(2)入射光の少なくとも75%を、前記中間層を通して透過させることができ、(3)少なくとも20%の透明度を有することを特徴とする方法。
