- 画像を構成する画素が配設された撮像素子と、この撮像素子への入射光束を絞るための絞りと、を有する撮像装置において、
上記撮像素子の画素形状が縦長の長方形である場合、上記絞りの開口を長方形の縦横比が略同一の楕円形状にしたことを特徴とする撮像装置。
