Abstract
【解決手段】磁気テープ5に対して情報を記録または再生可能な磁気素子8及び9を備えた磁気ヘッドユニット1は、磁気素子を備え磁気テープ5の幅方向全域に当接可能な大きさを有し磁気テープ5の幅方向に移動可能に配されている可動部材2と、可動部材2における磁気テープ搬送方向に隣接した位置に配された固定部材3とを備え、可動部材2は、トラッキングサーボ制御時に、トラッキングサーボ機構によって磁気テープ5の幅方向に移動される。

Description
図1A及び図1Bは、実施の形態1における磁気テープ装置の構成を示す斜視図である。図1Aは、可動部材がテープ幅方向の下端に位置している状態を示す。図1Bは、可動部材がテープ幅方向の上端に位置している状態を示す。
図4A及び図4Bは、実施の形態2における磁気テープ装置の構成を示す斜視図である。図4Aは、磁気素子8及び9が下端のトラック上に位置している状態を示す。図4Bは、磁気素子8及び9が上端のトラック上に位置している状態を示す。なお、図4A及び図4Bにおいて、図1A及び図1Bに示す構成と同様の構成要素については、同一番号を付与して詳しい説明を省略する。

Claims (1)
- 一方の面に磁性層を備えた磁気テープに対して情報を記録または再生可能な磁気素子を備えた磁気ヘッドユニットと、前記磁気素子を前記磁気テープの所定のトラックに位置決めするトラッキングサーボ機構とを備えた磁気テープ装置であって、
前記磁気ヘッドユニットは、
前記磁気素子を備え、前記磁気テープの幅方向全域に当接可能な大きさを有し、前記磁気テープの幅方向に移動可能に配されている第1の可動部材と、
前記第1の可動部材の磁気テープ搬送方向に隣接した位置に配され、前記磁気テープの幅方向に移動可能に配されている第2の可動部材とを備え、
トラッキングサーボ制御時、前記第1の可動部材及び前記第2の可動部材は、前記磁気テープの前記磁性層の表面に同時に当接し、前記トラッキングサーボ機構によって互いに相反する方向へ移動される、磁気テープ装置。
