Description
本発明の第2の目的は旋削用切削インサートの設定された切込角に対する敏感度を低減させることにある。
限定目的の無い説明をするために、今や本発明の幾つかの好適例がここに提示されている添付図面を参照しながら更に説明される。
r4=0.79mm α=24°
r2=0.65mm β=31°
r3=4.7mm δ=7°
y軸にはμmの単位で表す得られた面滑度が与えられ、x軸にはmm/回転の単位で表す送りが与えられている。切削速度は180m/分であり、切込みは2mmである。このダイアグラムから、例えば0.8mm/revの送りでR4値は実質的に半分になっている。これから、本発明に係るノーズ半径順列を有する切削インサートの優秀さが一定の(定格の)ノーズ半径を具備していることを除いては同等であるインサートと比較して明確に示される。更に、既知のインサートと違って、91から93°への切込角の変更は本発明に係るインサートを用いた旋削によって達成される面滑度に対して有害な影響を与えない。

Claims (6)
- 上面と前記上面に平行な底面と、前記上面と前記底面の間に延在する少なくとも3つの側面(4、4′)と、を含んで成る主として旋削用の切削インサートであって、
隣り合う2つの前記側面の遷移部が丸められたノーズ半径面(5)を形成し、前記上面と夫々の前記側面或いは前記ノーズ半径面との交点が夫々切刃を形成している斯かる切削インサートにおいて、
形成されたノーズ切刃が少なくとも5つの円筒面セグメント(5A−5C)に分割されていること、
5つの前記円筒面セグメント(5A−5C)が少なくとも3つの異なる曲率半径(r3、re、r2)を有していて、且つ隣接する前記円筒面セグメントが常に異なる曲率半径を有していること、
前記ノーズ切刃に隣り合うノーズ半径面(5)の少なくとも一部分が、対応する少なくとも5つの円筒面セグメント(5A−5C)に分割されていること、
二つの曲率半径間の最小差分が0.1と0.3mmの間の値であること、
前記ノーズ半径面の二等分線(B)が第1曲率半径(r e )を有する第1セグメント(5C)と交差し、前記第1セグメントの両側には実質的に同じ大きさの第2曲率半径(r 2 )を有する第2セグメント(5B,5B′)が接合しており、前記第2セグメントには実質的に同じ大きさの第3曲率半径(r 3 )を有する二つの第3セグメント(5A、5A′)が接合していて、r 3 >r e >r 2 の関係が存在すること、及び
前記第1セグメント(5C)が5と90°の間の値の中心角(α)を有する円セクターに対応しており、前記第2セグメント(5B、5B′)が共に10と40°の間の値の中心角(β)を有する円セクターに対応しており、前記第3セグメント(5A、5A′)が共に1と15°の間の値の中心角(δ)を有する円セクターに対応していること、
を特徴とする切削インサート。 - 前記ノーズ半径面(5)が前記上面から前記底面までの全高にわたって前記円筒面セグメントに分割されていることを特徴とする請求項1に係る切削インサート。
- 実質的に同じ大きさの第4曲率半径(r4)を有する2つの追加セグメントが前記第3セグメント(5A、5A′)と前記側面(4、4′)との間に夫々配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に係る切削インサート。
- 2つの曲率半径間の最小差分が0.2mmであることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に係る切削インサート。
- 前記第1曲率半径(re)が0.4と1.6mmの間の値であり、前記第2曲率半径(r2)が0.4と1.5mmの間の値であり、前記第3曲率半径(r3)が4と8mmの間の値であることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に係る切削インサート。
- 前記第4曲率半径(r4)が0.2と1.0mmの間の値であり、そして15と35°の間の値の中心角(δ)を有する円セクターに対応していることを特徴とする請求項3に係る切削インサート。
