Description
この発明は、薬剤吸入器に関し、より詳しくは、加圧エア源を使用し、乾燥粉末粒子の噴霧流を生じる乾燥粉末薬剤吸入器に関する。
シングルユニットの所定容量乾燥粉末吸入器が知られ、その中に、多数の室と、一つの室から一度にある所定容量を放出するためのセレクタ要素を含むものがある。これらの装置を設計するとき、薬剤放出の考え方には、装置に正しい所定容量サイズを確立すること、そのような所定容量を湿気やその他の有害な環境要素から守ること、そして、放出エアの流れの中の粒子サイズを優先させて所定容量を供給すること、がある。

Claims (12)
- 加圧エア源で作動できる、次のa〜dを備える乾燥粉末吸入器。
a.上部面および前部面をもち、前記上部面に形作られ、縦方向に延びて前記前部面に交差するくぼみの形の出口通路を含むベ−ス基板。
b.前記ベ−ス基板の前記上部面の上に重なる、フレキシブルな材料からなるシ−ト。
c.前記シ−トの上に重なる用量保管基板であり、その用量保管基板は、固まった薬剤粉末の少なくとも一つの単一ユニット用量を含有し、また、前記用量保管基板は、前記シ−トに隣接する底面と、前記ユニット用量を入れるために、その中に形作った少なくとも一つの室と、反対側の上部面とを備える。
d.前記用量保管基板の上に重なり、その用量保管基板の前記上部面上にエア源から加圧エアを送るための少なくとも一つの通路を含むエア入口基板であり、前記加圧エアは、前記室から前記用量を押しやり、前記シ−トは、前記加圧エアによって前記くぼみの中に下方に変形し、それにより、前記シ−トの前記上部面に沿う出口通路を与え、そして、前記用量は、加圧エアが当たることにより下方に運ばれ、前記シ−トに向けられ、前記シ−トは、前記用量を分解し浮遊化させるように振動し、前記用量は、前記くぼみを通して浮遊化状態で粉末流として運ばれ、その用量は、前記ベ−ス基板の前記前部面から出る。 - 前記加圧エアを、1〜100psi.(つまり、0.07〜7.0kg/cm2相当)の範囲の圧力で用いる、請求項1の吸入器。
- 前記加圧エアを、前記用量に対し10〜1000ミリセコンドの時間与える、請求項1の吸入器。
- 前記加圧エアを、前記用量に対し10〜1000ミリセコンドの時間与える、請求項2の吸入器。
- 前記振動シ−トにおける定常波は、10〜60KHzの振動数である、請求項1の吸入器。
- 前記シ−トは、0.0005〜0.020インチ(つまり、0.0012〜0.051cm)の厚さのマイラ−タイプのフィルムからなる、請求項1の吸入器。
- 粒子の大きさが2〜8μmの乾燥粉末の粒子噴流の形態で放出する、請求項1の吸入器。
- 前記ユニット用量は、保護シ−ルによって保護されており、その保護シ−ルは前記加圧エア源の作動に応じて壊される、請求項1の吸入器。
- 前記くぼみには、入口端と出口端とがあり、そのくぼみは、その出口端の方へ向けて深くなるように傾斜している、請求項1の吸入器。
- 前記くぼみには、大体において平行な両側壁がある、請求項9の吸入器。
- 次の各構成を備える請求項1の吸入器。
a’前記ベ−ス基板は、互いに間隔をおいて離れた複数の前記くぼみを含む。
b’前記シ−トは、前記くぼみの全体の上に横たわる。
c’前記用量保管基板は、単一ユニット用量を複数含み、前記単一ユニット用量のそれぞれが、前記用量保管基板の中の室の内部に置かれ、前記室のそれぞれは、前記くぼみの一つの上に一直線上になるように置かれている。
d’前記エア入口基板は、少なくとも一つの通路もち、その通路は、横に動いて前記保管した単一ユニット用量のそれぞれに選択的に向くようになっており、前記加圧エアは、前記エア入口基板を通して選択的に前記用量のそれぞれに当ててそれぞれの出口通路から粉末流となる。 - 次の各構成を備える請求項1の吸入器。
a’前記ベ−スは、くぼみを備える単一の出口通路をもつ。
b’前記シ−トは、前記くぼみの上に横たわる。
c’前記エア入口基板は、少なくとも一つの通路もち、その通路は、前記くぼみの上方に位置するように固定されている。
d’前記用量保管基板は、単一ユニット用量を複数含み、その用量保管基板は、前記くぼみの上方および前記エア入口通路の下方に一直線に位置するように回転可能であり、前記加圧エアは、前記通路を通して選択的に前記用量のそれぞれに当てて前記くぼみから粉末流となる。
