シルウェット(Silwet)L−7608−ポリアルキレンオキシド修飾ヘプタメチルトリシロキサン−水素末端基と1個のペンダント基を含有し、630の平均分子量を有する100%活性シリコーン系界面活性剤−コネチカット州グリーンウィッチのOSiスペシャルティーズ(OSi Specialties;Greenwich,CT)から入手可能。
MFF−199−SW−シリコーンコポリオール−水素末端基と1個のペンダントポリエチレンオキシド基を含有し、600から1,000の間の平均分子量を有する100%活性シリコーン系界面活性剤−ジョージア州ノースクロスのランベント・テクノロジーズ・インク(Lambent Technologies Inc.;Northcross,GA)から入手可能。
SW−CP−K−シリコーンコポリオールベースのカルボン酸エステル、カリウム塩−フタル酸エステル末端基と1個のポリエチレンオキシドペンダント基を含有し、800から1,100の間の平均分子量を有する40%活性シリコーン系界面活性剤−ジョージア州ノースクロスのランベント・テクノロジーズ・インク(Lambent Technologies Inc.;Northcross,GA)から入手可能。
ルーベ(Lube)CPI−シリコーンコポリオールベースのカルボン酸エステル、カリウム塩−フタル酸末端基と3個から5個のペンダント基を含有し、2,900から5,300の間の平均分子量を有する100%活性シリコーン系界面活性剤−ジョージア州ノースクロスのランベント・テクノロジーズ・インク(Lambent Technologies Inc.;Northcross,GA)から入手可能。
3Mスパングル(商標)フロア・フィニッシュ(3M SpangleTM Floor
Finish)−フッ化炭素界面活性剤を含有するつや出し組成物−ミネソタ州セントポールの3Mカンパニー(3M Company;St.Paul,MN)から入手可能。
周囲条件での薄膜形成試験は、6滴の仕上げ液を用いて為され、外層を剥いだタイルにナイフコーター(10ミル間隙および3/4インチ幅)で塗布した。ミネソタ州セントポールのセントポール・リノリウム社(St.Paul Linoleum,St.Paul,MN)のニューアームストロング(New Armstrong)黒色ビニール複合タイルを用いて、またミネソタ州セントポール、3M社の3Mツイスト・アンド・フィル(商標)TMアプリケータ(Twist and FillTM applicator)を用いて希釈された3Mローオーダー・ストリッパー(3MLow Odor Stripper)(22H)との3Mスーパーポリッシュ(商標)(ホワイト)フロアパッド(3MSuperTM(White)Floor Pad)を用いて外層を剥いだ。コントロール仕上げ剤(フッ化界面活性剤を含有する3Mスパングル(商標)フロア・フィニッシュ(3MSpangleTM Floor Finish))を、各タイルに塗布した。各配合物を2種類のタイルに塗布した。仕上げの湿潤化と均一化に関して視覚評価を行った。評価は、段階5が最良として1から5段階で行った。前記スパングル(商標)コントロール仕上げ剤は評価5が得られた。2種のタイルにおける前記配合物の平均評価を報告した。
表1に記載された組成物を有する床仕上げ剤の保存溶液(界面活性剤を含まない)を作製した。番号1〜4の成分を加え、15分間混合した。次に番号5〜6の成分を加え、15分間混合し、番号7〜8の成分を加え、15分間混合した。成分9〜11を加え、配合物全体を30分間混合した。上記成分を混合するために、攪拌羽根を具備したエアミキサーを用いた。
3種の異なる非イオン性炭化水素系界面活性剤を、2つの異なる有効濃度(溶液全体の0.5重量%と1.0重量%)で床仕上げ剤保存溶液に各々個別に組み入れた。テルギトール(Tergitol)TMN−6は、比較例1aの界面活性剤であり、ダイノール(Dynol)604は、比較例1bの界面活性剤であり、トリトン(Triton)XL−80Nは、比較例1cの界面活性剤であった。これらの溶液を、磁気攪拌バーを用いて少なくとも30分間混合した。これらの非イオン性炭化水素系界面活性剤は、防汚特性が不良であることを示した(表2)。界面活性剤の濃度を0.5%から1%に増加させると、防汚性がさらに悪化した。また、非イオン性炭化水素系界面活性剤を用いて作製した薄膜は、3Mスパングル(Spangle)(商標)対照つや出し剤から作られた薄膜と同じ「滑らかさ」を示さなかった(表2)。斯様に、非イオン性炭化水素系界面活性剤は、対照床仕上げ剤の湿潤化と均一化とに匹敵しなかった。
3種の異なるイオン性炭化水素系界面活性剤を、2つの異なる有効濃度(溶液全体の0.5重量%と1.0重量%)で床仕上げ剤保存溶液に各々個別に組み入れた。ドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウム(DS10)は、比較例2aの界面活性剤であり、ラウリル酸ナトリウムは、比較例2bの界面活性剤であり、ローダファック(Rodafac)PE−510は、比較例2cの界面活性剤であった。これらの溶液を、磁気攪拌バーを用いて少なくとも30分間混合した。これらのイオン性炭化水素系界面活性剤は、防汚特性が不良であることを示した(表2)。また、ドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウムの界面活性剤を用いて作製した薄膜は、3Mスパングル(Spangle)(商標)対照つや出し剤から作られた薄膜と同じ「滑らかさ」を示さなかった(表2)。
3種の異なる非イオン性シリコーン系界面活性剤(比較例3ではシルウェット(Silwet)L−77、比較例4ではシルウェット(Silwet)L−7608、比較例5ではランベント(Lambent)MFF−199−SW)を、2つの異なる有効濃度(溶液全体の0.5重量%と1.0重量%)で床仕上げ剤保存溶液に各々個別に組み入れた。これらの溶液を、磁気攪拌バーを用いて少なくとも30分間混合した。これらの非イオン性シリコーン系界面活性剤は、防汚特性が不良であることを示し、それらの濃度を増加させると、さらに悪化した(表2)。これらの溶液で作製した薄膜は、対照仕上げ剤の「滑らかな」外観に近かった。
アニオン性シリコーン系界面活性剤のランベント(Lambent)SW−CP−Kを、2つの異なる有効濃度(溶液全体の0.5重量%と1.0重量%)で床仕上げ剤保存溶液に個々に組み入れた。このアニオン性シリコーン系界面活性剤は、比較例5で考察した非イオン性シリコーン系界面活性剤の直接的な類似体であった。この溶液を、磁気攪拌バーを用いて少なくとも30分間混合した。ランベント(Lambent)SW−CP−Kは、乾燥薄膜の目標特性に対する最少の悪影響を有した。すなわち、良好な防汚特性を維持した(表2)。この溶液で作製した薄膜は、対照仕上げ剤の「滑らかな」外観に匹敵した(表2)。斯様に、このシリコーン系界面活性剤は、対照床仕上げ剤の湿潤化と均一化とに匹敵した。
より高分子量のアニオン性シリコーン系界面活性剤(櫛形構造を有する)であるランベントルーベ(Lambent Lube)CPIを、2つの異なる有効濃度(溶液全体の0.5重量%と1.0重量%)で床仕上げ剤保存溶液に個々に組み入れた。この溶液を、磁気攪拌バーを用いて少なくとも30分間混合した。ランベントルーベ(Lambent
Lube)CPIは、乾燥薄膜の目標特性に対する最少の悪影響を有した。すなわち、良好な防汚特性を維持した(表2)。この溶液で作製した薄膜は、対照仕上げ剤の「滑らかな」外観に匹敵した(表2)。斯様に、このシリコーン系界面活性剤は、対照床仕上げ剤の湿潤化と均一化とに匹敵した。
Claims (10)
- 基材に被膜を施すための水性つや出し組成物であって、(a)薄膜形成ポリマーと、(b)イオン性シリコーン系界面活性剤と、を含み、前記被膜が防汚性であるつや出し組成物。
- 前記基材が床、壁および浴室面からなる群より選択される請求項1に記載のつや出し組成物。
- 前記基材が床面である請求項1に記載のつや出し組成物。
- 前記イオン性シリコーン系界面活性剤がアニオン性シリコーン界面活性剤である請求項1に記載のつや出し組成物。
- 前記アニオン性シリコーン系界面活性剤がカルボン酸塩、ホスホン酸塩、リン酸塩、硫酸塩およびスルホン酸塩からなる群より選択される塩基性塩を含有する請求項4に記載のつや出し組成物。
- 前記アニオン性シリコーン系界面活性剤がカルボン酸塩を含有する請求項4に記載のつや出し組成物。
- 前記カルボン酸塩がフタル酸塩である請求項6に記載のつや出し組成物。
- 前記つや出し組成物が0.01重量パーセントから5重量パーセントの前記イオン性シリコーン系界面活性剤を含有する請求項1に記載のつや出し組成物。
- 前記つや出し組成物が0.1重量パーセントから2重量パーセントの前記イオン性シリコーン系界面活性剤を含有する請求項1に記載のつや出し組成物。
- 前記イオン性シリコーン系界面活性剤が10,000未満の平均分子量を有する請求項1に記載のつや出し組成物。
