Description
この種のボールベアリング1では、大球4が抵抗を受けずに円滑に回転できるためには、これを受ける多数の小球3がすべて高精度に同一径である必要があると考えられており、したがって、従来のボールベアリング1は、図示の通り、小球3がすべて同一径であった。
請求項2は、請求項1のボールベアリングにおいて、ボール受けの最下部にゴミを排出するための穴をあけたことを特徴とする。
また、ゴミが主小球と補助小球とで揉まれて小さく砕かれる可能性があるが、ボール受けの最下部に穴をあけた場合には、小さくなったゴミがその穴から容易に外部に排出されるので、内部のゴミを減少させることができる。この点でも、ボールベアリングの性能低下を極力防ぐことができる。
請求項2によれば、ボール受けの最下部に穴をあけているので、内部に入ったゴミをその穴から排出して減少させることができ、この点でも、ボールベアリングの性能低下を極力防ぐことができる。
なお、図では主小球13aと補助小球13bとが交互に配列されるように図示したが、多数の小球を単に半球状凹面12aに入れた上に大球14を乗せることで小球の配列を行なうので、主小球13aと補助小球13bとが交互に配列されるとは限らず、主小球13aと補助小球13bの配列態様は不確定的である。しかし、補助小球13bの数が主小球13aの数に対して一定割合以上であれば、主小球13aと主小球13aとの間に補助小球13bが介在する配列態様は出現するといえる。
また、ゴミが主小球13aと補助小球13bとで揉まれて小さく砕かれる可能性があるが、ボール受け12の最下部に穴12bをあけているので、小さくなったゴミ17がその穴12bから容易に外部に排出され、内部のゴミを減少させることができる。この点でも、ボールベアリングの性能低下を極力防ぐことができる。

Claims (2)
- 半球状凹面を持つボール受けの前記半球状凹面に多数の小球をフリーに配列し、その上に1つの大球を乗せてこの大球を全方向に回転可能に保持し、それら全体を前記大球の上部を突出させる開口を持つケーシング内に収容したボールベアリングにおいて、
前記小球として、大球に接触する大球支持用の主小球と、この大球支持用小球より小さく大球に接触しない補助小球とを混在させたことを特徴とするボールベアリング。 - 前記ボール受けの最下部にゴミを排出するための穴をあけたことを特徴とする請求項1記載のボールベアリング。
