Claims (3)
- エンジンの排気通路を流れる排気ガスの一部を吸気通路に供給すべく、上記排気通路と上記吸気通路とを連通するEGR通路と、
上記EGR通路に設けられ、上記EGR通路を流れる排気ガスを冷却するEGRクーラと、
上記EGR通路に設けられ、上記EGR通路から上記吸気通路へと供給される排気ガスの流量を調節するためのEGR弁と、を備えたEGR装置であって、
上記EGRクーラが、上記EGR通路に複数設けられ、
上記EGR弁が、複数のEGRクーラのうち隣接するいずれか二つのEGRクーラの間に配置され、
上記EGR弁よりも上流側に位置するEGRクーラの能力が、上記EGR弁を通過する排気ガスの温度が排気ガス中に含まれる炭化水素成分が凝縮及び凝固する温度である100℃よりも高く且つ上記EGR弁のシール部材等が熱劣化する温度以下に設定される
ことを特徴とするEGR装置。 - 上記EGR弁よりも下流側に位置するEGRクーラの能力が、上記吸気通路へと供給される排気ガスの温度が100℃以下となるように設定される
請求項1記載のEGR装置。 - 上記EGR通路における、上記EGR弁の設置位置と、上記EGR弁よりも下流側で、一つ又は複数のEGRクーラよりも下流側の位置とを連通するバイパス通路が設けられ、 上記EGR弁は、上記EGR弁に流れ込んだ排気ガスを、上記EGR通路及び上記バイパス通路のいずれか一方へと選択的に流すことが可能な方向切替弁である
請求項1又は2記載のEGR装置。
