Claims (7)
- 記録可能な複数の記録層を有する光情報記録媒体に対して光ビームを出射する光源と、前記光情報記録媒体で反射された前記光ビームを受光する受光素子と、該受光素子から出力された信号を抽出する信号処理回路とを備えた光ディスク装置に用いられ、前記信号の信号特性を光情報記録媒体にて規定する媒体特性規定方法であって、
前記光情報記録媒体の第1の記録層から抽出される前記信号特性を、前記第1の記録層に出射された前記光ビームの光線軸上でかつ前記第1の記録層より入射側で隣接する第2の記録層における既記録領域の前記光ビームの信号に基づいて定めることを特徴とする媒体特性規定方法。 - 記録可能な複数の記録層を有する光情報記録媒体に対して光ビームを出射する光源と、前記光情報記録媒体で反射された前記光ビームを受光する受光素子と、該受光素子から出力された信号を抽出する信号処理回路とを備えた光ディスク装置に用いられ、前記信号の信号特性を光情報記録媒体にて規定する媒体特性規定方法であって、
前記光情報記録媒体の第1の記録層から抽出される前記信号特性を、前記第1の記録層に出射された前記光ビームの光線軸上でかつ前記第1の記録層より入射側で隣接する第2の記録層における既記録領域と未記録領域との前記光ビームの信号に基づいて定めることを特徴とする媒体特性規定方法。 - 前記信号特性は、複数の記録層で等しい値を目標値とすることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の媒体特性規定方法。
- 前記信号特性の1つを、光ビームがトラックを横切った際に得られるトラッククロス信号の振幅とすることを特徴とする請求項1〜3いずれか1項記載の媒体特性規定方法。
- 前記信号特性の1つを、光ビームがトラックを横切った際に得られるトラックエラー信号の振幅とすることを特徴とする請求項1〜3いずれか1項記載の媒体特性規定方法。
- 前記信号特性の1つを、トラックの蛇行成分であるウォブル信号の振幅とすることを特徴とする請求項1〜3いずれか1項記載の媒体特性規定方法。
- 前記信号特性の1つを、トラックの蛇行成分であるウォブル信号の対ノイズ品質とすることを特徴とする請求項1〜3いずれか1項記載の媒体特性規定方法。
