sinensis、Amomun krervanhpirrre、Allium sativumCe
ntellaasiatica urban、Spilanthes acmella Murr.の水
または/および有機溶媒により抽出される抽出物を含有
し、育毛・養毛効果に優れる養毛・育毛剤に関する。

【従来の技術】毛髪は、容姿を大きく左右するもので、
美容上非常に重要な位置を占めている。脱毛症は、今だ
に確立された治療法はなく、深い悩みの種となってい
る。脱毛症には先天性、後天性のものがあり、発症原
因、発生機序ともに今日まで多くの研究がなされてきた
が、不明な点が多い。それでもなお、養毛剤は市場に多
く出回っているが、充分な効果が得られるものが少ない
のが、現状である。
【0003】現在、脱毛の原因と考えられているものに
は、内分泌異常、ヘアサイクルの異常、自律神経の失
調、血液循環の不良、栄養障害、その他(遺伝性、老化
等)が挙げられる。従来の育毛成分には、たとえば卵胞
ホルモン(特開昭60−38313号)等のホルモン類、
ビタミンE、B2、B6、ビオチン、パントテン酸等のビ
タミン類、その他のアミノ酸類(ペプチドサブスタン
ス:特開昭61−7209号)、センブリエキス等の生
薬エキス、塩酸ジフェンヒドラミン等の消炎剤、グリセ
リン等の湿潤剤、感光素301号等の頭皮刺激剤、ヒノ
キチオール等の殺菌剤、エタノール等の清涼剤等があ
る。また、最近では、男性ホルモン活性化酵素である 5
α-reductaseの活性阻害物質として、グリチルレチン
酸、ランジック酸等が、栄養補給作用としてペンタデカ
ン酸等が利用されている。
【0004】しかし、上記効果物質は充分な効果を示す
ものは非常に少なく、ある程度の効果を有するものでは
皮膚刺激性が強く、配合量に制約を生じるものや連続使
用に支障をきたすものがあり、問題点が残されているの
が現状である。
【0005】上記の背景があり、最近は各種天然物から
抽出を行い、そのエキスを養毛・育毛剤に配合するもの
が多くみられてきた。
【0006】例えば、続随子[Euphorbia lathyris L.]
の種子または大戟[Knoxia corymbosa WILLD. または E
uphorbia sieboldiana MORR. et DECENE.] の根の生薬
から水溶性有機溶媒単独またはこれらの含水有機溶媒に
より抽出した有効成分(特開昭63−198612)、
唐胡麻[Ricinus communis L.] の種子またはカマラ[ M
allotus philippinensis MULL.-ARG.] の果実の表皮の
腺毛及び束毛の生薬から水溶性有機溶媒単独またはこれ
らの含水有機溶媒により抽出した有効成分(特開昭63
−198614)、嫌気的条件下で保存処理し、加熱処
理した茶葉抽出物(特開昭63−280009)、シキ
ミ(樒)からの抽出物(特開昭63−303915)、
冬瓜仁[Benincasa hispida Cogn.] の種子または竹葉
[Lophatherum gracile Brongh] の葉または車前子[Pla
ntago asiatica L.] の種子の生薬から水溶性有機溶媒
単独またはこれらの含水有機溶媒により抽出した有効成
分(特開昭64−38011)等がある。各種天然物由
来の有効成分は、得られた有効成分をそのまま、あるい
は適宜の溶媒等で溶解分散希釈して基剤中に配合して用
いるとされている。
【0007】そして、養毛・育毛剤は、前記養毛成分を
単独または複数組み合わせて局所での効果を期待して使
用されており、育毛、発毛促進、ふけ、かゆみ、炎症の
防止、薄毛・脱毛予防をはかり、これにより総合的な養
毛・育毛効果をねらっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】かくのごとく、養毛・
育毛効果を有する物質として多種多様のものが提案され
ているが、これらの従来の養毛・育毛は副作用が生じた
り、また養毛、育毛が必ずしも十分ではなく、より効果
的な養毛・育毛剤の開発が望まれている。
【0009】最近、ヘアサイクルの休止期を成長期に変
換させる作用に着目して、その作用物質を養毛・育毛剤
として利用することが試みられている。
【0010】前記休止期から成長期への変換作用が養毛
・育毛剤として利用される理由は、脱毛症の人は、毛の
成長過程の休止期毛が頭髪を占める割合が大きいと考え
られるからである。そこで、毛のヘアサイクルに着目
し、休止期となった毛根を刺激し、成長期への移行を速
めるのに有効な養毛・育毛剤の開発を目指し、休止期の
毛再生促進に優れた効果のある物質を見い出す研究を進
めてきた。
【0011】そこで本発明者らは、上記背景に基づき一
般的に安全とされている天然物から休止期を成長期へ移
行させる効果に優れ、脱毛防止、養毛・育毛効果に有効
でかつ安全な物質を検索、試験した結果、各種植物体の
水または/および有機溶剤により抽出された物質が、こ
の課題を解決しうることを見い出し、本発明を完成する
に至った。

【課題を解決するための手段】このような現状に鑑み、
本発明者らは鋭意研究の結果、ユリ科のはらん、ウキク
サ科の浮萍、セリ科の Angelica sinensis、ショウガ科
の Amomun krervanh pierre、ユリ科の Allium sativu
m、 セリ科の Centella asiatica urban、キク科の Spi
lanthes acmella Murr.の水または/および有機溶剤に
より抽出される抽出物群が、ヘアサイクルの休止期を成
長期に変換させ、養毛・育毛効果に優れた効果を示すこ
とを明らかにすることができた。
【0013】この発明の抽出物は、溶剤を除去した後の
乾燥物の状態で使用することもでき、溶剤に溶解した状
態で使用することもできる。そして、この抽出物の少な
くとも1種又は、2種以上を混合して含有させることに
より養毛・育毛剤を調製することができる。
【0014】前記各種植物抽出物は人体に対して毒性を
有せず、且つ、肌、頭皮に対しても安全であることか
ら、養毛・育毛剤への配合量は特に限定されずに広範囲
で選択することができる。抽出物の配合量(乾燥物換算)
は、0.01〜10重量%の範囲内での使用が適当であ
り、望ましくは0.1〜3重量%の範囲内が最適であ
る。これは0.1重量%以下であると、育毛効果が弱
く、また一方、3重量%以上にしても効果面においてあ
まり顕著な差異は認め難く効率的ではないためである。
【0015】この発明で利用される原料は、前記各種植
物体の生の物、又は乾燥物が利用できる。そして、この
前記各種植物体を水または/および有機溶剤により、各
種有効成分を抽出する。
【0016】前記各種植物体から、有効成分を抽出する
ために使用される溶剤としては、水、低級1価アルコー
ル類 (例えばメタノール、エタノール、n−ブタノール
等) 、低級多価アルコール類 (例えばエチレングリコー
ル、プロピレングリコール、1,3−ブチレングリコー
ル、グリセリン等) 、エーテル類 (例えばジエチルエー
テル等) 、ケトン類 (例えばアセトン、エチルメチルケ
トン等) 、エステル類 (例えば酢酸エチル) 、ハロゲン
化アルカン類 (例えばジクロロメタン、クロロホルム
等) 、その他ベンゼン、トルエン等の芳香属炭化水素等
からなる群から選ばれる溶剤を用いて行われる。

が、2種以上の混合液、例えば20〜80%エタノール
水溶液、ベンゼン:酢酸エチル (4:1) 混合液、1,
3−ブチレングリコール水溶液として利用することもで
きる。
【0018】またこの発明の養毛・育毛剤は、前記植物
体から水または/および有機溶剤により抽出される抽出
物の少なくとも1種以上を各種化粧料基剤などに配合し
て、ヘアトニック、ヘアクリーム、ヘアリキッド、ヘア
ジェル、ヘアブロー、ヘアムース、ヘアローション、ポ
マード、ヘアシャンプー、ヘアリンス、乳液等の化粧料
に適用できる。また、前記化粧料の形状は、溶液、ゾ
ル、ゲル、エマルジョン、軟膏、オイル、ワックス、ス
プレー等の各種形状で適用することができる。
【0019】さらに、この発明の養毛・育毛剤は他の公
知の養毛・育毛剤と併用できるのは勿論であり、優れた
相乗作用も期待できる。また、この発明の養毛・育毛剤
は、各種界面活性剤、溶剤、色素、香料、防腐剤、抗酸
化剤、保湿剤等その他の各種添加剤に対して安定なこと
を確認のうえ、これらの各種添加剤等とともに併用適用
することも可能である。
【0020】なお、この発明の植物抽出物は、ヘアサイ
クルの休止期を成長期に移行させるだけでなく、例えば
保湿作用等の副次的な効果も期待できるものである。
