【発明の詳細な説明】 【０００１】 【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、混合溶剤、金属腐
食防止剤及び酸化防止剤が含まれた自動車用のブレーキ
液組成物に関するもので、より詳細には湿潤沸点、耐腐
食性及び耐蒸発性を向上させると共に、ブレーキ液の交
換周期を延長させることのできる自動車用のブレーキ液
組成物に関するものである。 【０００２】 【従来の技術】従来用いられているブレーキ液の場合に
は、溶剤としてグリコールエーテル化合物だけが使用さ
れたＤＯＴ−３形、溶剤に約３０〜５０重量％のホウ酸
エステルが添加されたＤＯＴ−４形、ＤＯＴ−５−１形
等が主に用いられている。 【０００３】上記ＤＯＴ−３形のブレーキ液を長期間に
わたって使用する時、大気中の水分を吸収して湿潤沸点
（ｗｅｔ ｂｏｉｌｉｎｇ ｐｏｉｎｔ）が低くなり、
蒸気閉鎖（ｖａｐｏｒ ｌｏｃｋ）を惹起させて制動不
能事故が起こる危険性があり、また、金属腐食防止能力
も弱いという短所もある。 【０００４】また、ＤＯＴ−４形及びＤＯＴ−５−１形
のブレーキ液は、ホウ酸エステル化合物を使用して平衡
還流沸点（ｅｑｕｉｌｉｂｒｉｕｍ ｒｅｆｌｕｘ ｂ
ｏｉｌｉｎｇ ｐｏｉｎｔ）と湿潤沸点（ｗｅｔ ｂｏ
ｉｌｉｎｇ ｐｏｉｎｔ）が高いので、上記ＤＯＴ−３
形に比べて安全度が高い。 【０００５】しかし、水分を吸収した時にホウ酸エステ
ル化合物が加水分解されてホウ酸を析出することにより
周辺の金属部品を腐食させるという点、及び製造原価が
高価であるという短所を持っている。現在、先進の自動
車技術を保有しているヨーロッパ及び日本等において
は、ＤＯＴ−４形及びＤＯＴ−５−１形を採用、用いて
いるが、製造原価を低めるための研究が進まれている。 【０００６】 【発明の解決しようとする課題】そこで、本発明は上記
従来の自動車用のブレーキ液組成物における問題点に鑑
みてなされたものであって、既存のＤＯＴ−３形で使用
しないホウ酸エステル化合物及び特定のシラン系安定剤
を添加することにより、製造原価を低め、水分を吸収し
て加水分解されてホウ酸が析出することを改善し、ブレ
ーキ制動能力の改善及び機能上の障害を防ぐことによ
り、ブレーキ液の交換周期を延長することのできる自動
車用のブレーキ液組成物を提供することを目的とする。 【０００７】 【課題を解決するための手段】上記のような目的を達成
するためになされた本発明による自動車用のブレーキ液
組成物は、グリコールエーテル化合物とホウ酸エステル
化合物を主成分とする自動車用のブレーキ液組成物であ
り、全体のブレーキ液組成に対して７０〜８０重量％の
グリコールエーテル化合物、１８〜２８重量％のホウ酸
エステル化合物、０．８〜１．２重量％の３−ジエタノ
ールアミノプロピルシラン、０．５〜１．０重量％の燐
酸系金属腐食防止剤、０．２〜０．５重量％のトリアゾ
ル系金属腐食防止剤、０．２〜０．５重量％のアミン系
金属腐食防止剤、および０．３〜０．６重量％の酸化防
止剤が含まれていることを特徴とする。 【０００８】 【発明の実施の形態】本発明をより詳細に説明すれば以
下のとおりである。本発明の自動車用のブレーキ液組成
物において、グリコールエーテル化合物とホウ酸エステ
ル化合物を主成分とし、ホウ酸エステル化合物からホウ
酸の析出を防ぐために３−ジエタノールアミノプロピル
シランを使用し、さらに金属の腐食防止能力を強化させ
てブレーキ液の交換周期を延長することを可能としてい
る。 【０００９】本発明で使用されるグリコールエーテル化
合物とホウ酸エステル化合物は、大気中の水分吸湿量が
少なく、吸湿沸点（ｗｅｔ ｂｏｌｌｉｎｇ ｐｏｉｎ
ｔ）が高くて、潤滑作用にて部品の動作を円滑にするも
のでなければならないので、グリコールエーテル化合物
及びホウ酸エステル化合物を最適な比率で選んで添加す
る。 【００１０】本発明に用いられるグリコールエーテル化
合物は、全体のブレーキ液組成に対して７０〜８０重量
％であり、トリエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテ
ル、ポリアルキレングリコール、ポリエチレンプロピレ
ングリコールモノメチルエーテル、及びポリエチレング
リコールモノブチルエーテルを混合して使用する。 【００１１】ホウ酸エステル化合物は、全体のブレーキ
液組成に対して１８〜２８重量％の範囲で添加される。
ホウ酸エステル化合物の含有量が１８重量％未満であれ
ば所望する物性が得にくいし、２８重量％を超過すれば
製造原価の上昇と共に、ホウ酸が析出して周辺部品の腐
食を惹起するので望ましくない。 【００１２】また、本発明で使用される金属腐食防止剤
は、金属部品の腐食防止のために添加され、燐酸塩系、
トリアゾル系、及びアミン系化合物を混合して使用す
る。本発明で用いられる金属腐食防止剤は、全体のブレ
ーキ液組成に対して燐酸系金属腐食防止剤が０．５〜
１．０重量％、トリアゾル系金属腐食防止剤が０．２〜
０．５重量％、及びアミン系金属腐食防止剤が０．２〜
０．５重量％である。 【００１３】本発明で使用される酸化防止剤は、グリコ
ールエーテル化合物のアルキル基が酸化されるのを防ぐ
ために添加し、全体のブレーキ液組成に対して０．３〜
０．６重量％の範囲で添加される。上記酸化防止剤の含
量が０．３重量％未満であれば酸化防止能力が低下さ
れ、０．６重量％を超過すれば酸化防止能力はそれ以上
には増加されない。本発明の酸化防止剤としては、ジブ
チルヒドロキシトルエンを使用することが望ましい。 【００１４】３−ジエタノールアミノプロピルシラン
は、ホウ酸エステル化合物が水分を吸湿することにより
加水分解され、ホウ酸が生成して金属部品を腐食させる

組成物は、グリコールエテル化合物、ホウ酸エステル化
合物、３−ジエタノールアミノプロピルシラン、燐酸系
金属腐食防止剤、トリアゾル系金属腐食防止剤、アミン
系金属腐食防止剤、酸化防止剤で構成されることによ
り、製造原価を低め、高い吸湿沸点（ｗｅｔ ｂｏｉｌ
ｉｎｇ ｐｏｉｎｔ）と共に各種の金属の腐食防止能力
を向上させることによりブレーキ液の交換寿命を延長す
る効果がある。 【００１６】次に、本発明にかかる自動車用のブレーキ
液組成物の実施の形態の具体例を以下に説明する。 実施例１〜３及び比較例 次の表１の組成に従って通常的な方法により実施例１〜
３及び比較例のブレーキ液組成物を製造した（３０℃で
１時間にわたって撹拌）。その後、製造されたそれぞれ
のブレーキ液組成物の製造原価を比較し、次の試験方法
により物性を測定した。 【００１７】〔測定方法〕 １．特殊金属腐食実験（ｍｇ／ｃｍ２） ＫＳ Ｍ ２１４２ 不凍液試験装置にそれぞれのブレ
ーキ液を入れて１００℃で調節した後に、標準試験片を
２４０時間にわたって浸し濡らした。この時に、酸素量
を増加して腐食を促進するために空気を分当たり１００
ｍｌずつ注入させながら、測定した。 ２．蒸発性試験（％） ＫＳ Ｍ ２１４１の自動車用の非鉱油ブレーキ液
（７．８項）に基づいて試験した。 ３．湿潤沸点試験（℃） ＫＳ Ｍ ２１４１の自動車用の非鉱油ブレーキ液
（７．２項）に基づいて試験した。 ４．ホウ酸析出試験 上記蒸発性試験の後に、５０℃で４５０ｍｌの水が含ま
れたデシケータの中に７２時間にわたって放置し、ホウ
酸が生成して析出するのを指先若しくは肉眼で観察し
た。 【００１８】 【表１】 【００１９】 【表２】 【００２０】上記実験の結果、実施例のブレーキ液組成
物は、比較例に比べて耐腐食性及び耐蒸発性が優れ、湿
潤沸点が低くてホウ酸の析出が観察されなかった。ま
た、比較例の製造原価を１００と基準した時に、実施例
の製造原価が７９〜８４の範囲で製造原価を約２０％程
度低めた。 【００２１】尚、本発明は、本実施例に限られるもので
はない。本発明の趣旨から逸脱しない範囲内で多様に変
更実施することが可能である。 【００２２】 【発明の効果】上述したように、本発明によるグリコー
ルエーテル、ホウ酸エステル化合物、３−ジエタノール
アミノプロピルシラン、燐酸系金属腐食防止剤、トリア
ゾル系金属腐食防止剤、アミン系金属腐食防止剤、酸化
防止剤で構成されたブレーキ液組成物は、既存のブレー
キ液に沈べて大気中の水分吸湿量が約２０％ほど少な
く、低い湿潤沸点と共に耐腐食性及び耐蒸発性に優れて
ブレーキ液の交換周期を延長し、製造原価及び経費を節
減するのに効果があるものである。

  1. (57)【特許請求の範囲】 【請求項１】 グリコールエーテル化合物とホウ酸エス
    テル化合物を主成分とする自動車用のブレーキ液組成物
    であり、全体のブレーキ液組成に対して７０〜８０重量
    ％のグリコールエーテル化合物、１８〜２８重量％のホ
    ウ酸エステル化合物、０．８〜１．２重量％の３−ジエ
    タノールアミノプロピルシラン、０．５〜１．０重量％
    の燐酸系金属腐食防止剤、０．２〜０．５重量％のトリ
    アゾル系金属腐食防止剤、０．２〜０．５重量％のアミ
    ン系金属腐食防止剤、及び０．３〜０．６重量％の酸化
    防止剤が含まれていることを特徴とする自動車用のブレ
    ーキ液組成物。
