Description
走行する帯状金属薄板部材とフィルム部材とを圧着して
ラミネート部材を形成するラミネート部材の形成装置に
関するものである。
金属製の缶胴の内外面には、腐食防止用の表面処理や装
飾用等の表面処理が施されている。従来、これらの製缶
素材の表面処理は、オフセット印刷等の印刷手段により
行われている。具体的には、金属コイルから裁断された
平板状の製缶素材に、オフセット印刷を行うようにして
いた。
える高速で運転すると、印刷工程を通過する直前の走行
する裁断された平板状の製缶素材の端縁に疵をつけるこ
となく、しかも正確に位置決め(ゲージング)すること
が困難であり、さらに平板状の製缶素材が、印刷される
際、ブランケットシリンダ表面のインクと密着し、ブラ
ンケットシリンダに巻き付くことがあるため、製缶素材
を薄くすることができず、製缶素材の材料費の削減が困
難である。
フィルム部材を金属薄板コイルに連続して積層して貼り
付けるようにして製缶素材の表面処理を行うことが、提
案され実施されている。このようなラミネート部材を形
成する装置の一例が、特開平4−91949号公報に記
載されている。これを図4に示し、簡単に説明する。
装置は、金属板1aを連続して供給する金属薄板コイル
繰り出し機2と、この金属板1aを加熱する高周波誘導
加熱装置3と、印刷済みのフィルム部材4を連続して供
給するフィルム繰り出し機5と、外周部にゴム性部材が
設けられた回転ロール6および内部に加熱手段が設けら
れた金属製の回転ロール7での半径方向に押圧すること
により金属板1aとフィルム部材4とを連続的に圧着す
るフィルム貼り付け装置8と、このフィルム貼り付け装
置8で連続的に圧着された帯状金属薄板のラミネート部
材1bを巻き取る金属薄板コイル巻き取り装置9とを備
えている。このように構成されたラミネート部材の形成
装置によれば、毎分約200mもの高速で、製缶素材の
表面処理を行うことができる。
ム部材4の接着面に配設される接着剤の反応温度の範囲
もしくはフィルム部材4の熱溶着温度の範囲、具体的に
は100〜180℃の範囲で行われる。そのため、フィ
ルム部材4と接触する回転ロール6の外周部のゴム性部
材は、良好な耐熱性を備えるシリコンゴムから構成され
ている。
ンゴムは、その引裂強さ(JIS K 6301)が良好とはいえ
ず、サンドペーパ(JIS 400番) 等によっても、その表面
あらさ(JIS B 0601)の中心線平均あらさRaを0.7μ
m程度に仕上げるのが限界である。また、金属薄板1a
とフィルム部材4とを高速で確実に圧着を行うために
は、大きな圧着力、具体的には15kgf/cm
2 (1.5×106 N/m2 )以上の圧着力を必要とす
る。

わちシリコンゴムの表面が明瞭に転写されてしまい、フ
ィルム部材4の表面が平滑にならず、縞模様が形成され
て品質感が悪化するなどの不都合があった。
の回転ロールによりフィルム部材4を必要な押圧力で接
触するよう構成した場合、適正な圧着幅および圧着力を
連続して得ることができず、良好に圧着されたラミネー
ト部材が得られなくなるとともに、フィルム部材の裏面
に形成してある接着剤を均一厚さに圧延できないなどの
ために、フィルム部材の表面に凹凸が形成されて、見栄
えが低下してしまうという不都合があった。

提供することを目的とするものである。

属薄板部材とフィルム部材とを、回転するロール部材を
その半径方向に押圧して加圧することにより、圧着させ
るラミネート部材の形成装置において、前記ロール部材
の外周部が、水素添加ニトリルブタジエン系のゴム材料
を主成分とするゴム性部材から構成されるとともに、こ
のゴム性部材の日本工業規格によるショア硬さが86以
上に調製され、かつこのゴム性部材の外周面の日本工業
規格による表面あらさの中心線平均あらさが0.2μm
以下もしくは最大高さが2μm以下に処理されているこ
とを特徴とするものである。
着幅および圧着力が連続的に安定して得られるため、帯
状金属薄板部材とフィルム部材との圧着が安定して行わ
れる。このとき、ラミネート部材の厚さがほぼ均一にな
るよう、フィルム部材が加圧されるので、ラミネート部
材の表面が平滑にされ、見栄えに優れたラミネート部材
が形成される。
のゴム性部材は、走行しているフィルム部材に接触す
る。このとき、フィルム部材と接触するゴム性部材の外
周部分がほぼ平坦になるよう変形して、ゴム性部材の変
形による押圧力が、平坦状に変形した中央部分において
最大になるとともに、その両端部分にかけて減少するよ
う作用する。
部材の外周部分のうちフィルム部材から離れ始める部分
は元の形状に速やかに復帰して、その後、再びフィルム
部材と良好に接触するようになる。したがって、帯状金
属薄板部材とフィルム部材とが良好に圧着するようゴム
性部材の変形が連続して生じる。
帯状金属薄板部材とフィルム部材とが確実に圧接される
とともに、ラミネート部材の表面が均されるようフィル
ム部材が加圧される。つまり、ラミネート部材の表面に
うねりが形成されず、ラミネート部材の表面が平滑にさ
れる。
に調製された水素添加ニトリルブタジエン系のゴム材料
(水素が添加されたNBRゴム)を主成分とするゴム性
部材では、その表面あらさ(JIS B 0601)の中心線平均あ
らさ(Ra)を0.2μm以下、もしくは最大高さ(R
max)が2μm以下に容易に処理することができる。
そのため、ゴム性部材の表面がフィルム部材の表面に転
写されても、フィルム部材の表面は、実質的に鏡面状に
仕上げられ、さらに平滑にされる。
施例に基づいて説明する。この実施例に用いられるラミ
ネート部材の形成装置10は、毎分約200mで連続的
に供給・走行させられる帯板状の鋼板11のそれぞれの
面に、腐食防止用かつ装飾用のフィルム部材12と腐食
防止用のフィルム部材13とを同時に貼り付けるよう構
成したものである。
ト部材の形成装置10は、回転可能に支持されたロール
部材14,15が相対するよう配設されてなり、このロ
ール部材14,15のそれぞれをその半径方向に押圧す
ることにより、フィルム部材12と鋼板11とを圧着す
ると同時に、鋼板11とフィルム部材13とを圧着し
て、連続的にラミネート鋼板16を形成するよう構成さ
れている。
は、水素添加ニトリルブタジエン(水素が添加されたN
BRゴム)系のゴム材料からなるゴム性部材17,18
が設けられている。このゴム性部材17,18は、その
硬度Hs (ショア硬さ(JIS Z 2246))が86以上に調製
されて、その表面の中心線平均あらさRa(JIS B 0601)
が0.2μm、かつ最大高さRmax(JIS B 0601)が2
μm以下に処理されている。
材12は、図2に示すよう、約12μmの厚さのポリエ
チレンテレフタレート(PET)製のフィルム部19
と、このフィルム部19の表面側に設けられた約0.5
μmの厚さのクリヤ部20と、フィルム19部の裏面側
にグラビア印刷した約1〜2μmの厚さのインク部21
と、このインク部21に積層された約5μmの厚さの接
着剤部(ホワイト)22とから構成されている。また、
腐食防止用のフィルム部材13は、グラビア印刷が施さ
れないので、フィルム部19とクリヤ部20と接着剤部
22とから構成される。

を透過しないように構成されている。また、この接着剤
は、100〜180℃の間で反応するようなっているの
で、鋼板11およびフィルム部材12,13およびロー
ル部材14,15等を前記温度範囲でほぼ均一な温度と
なるように加熱する手段(図示せず)が適宜設けられて
いる。
15による鋼板11とフィルム部材12,13との圧着
動作について、図1および図3を参照しながら説明す
る。鋼板11とフィルム部材12,13とは、フィルム
貼り付け装置10に連続的に供給されて、そのロール部
材14,15に挟まれる部位において、白色系接着剤の
反応温度に保持されて圧着される。
7,18は、その弾性により、フィルム部材12,13
と接する部位がほぼ平坦になるよう変形する。このと
き、この変形による弾性力は、平坦状に変形した中央部
分において最大になるとともに、その両端部分にかけて
徐々に小さくなる。なお、この中央部分における最大圧
着力は15kgf/cm2 (1.5×106 N/m2 )
以上になるように、ロール部材14,15の加圧力(線
圧)が調整されて、鋼板11とフィルム部材12,13
とが、確実に圧着されるようになっている。
さを一定にしながら、徐々に大きくなるよう作用する弾
性力によって、フィルム部材12,13が均される。特
に、この実施例のフィルム部材12は、それぞれ接着剤
部22を備えているため、主に、この接着剤部22が圧
延されて、グラビア印刷によるインク部21の厚さのバ
ラツキが吸収されている。
て、ゴム性部材17,18の外周部のうちフィルム部材
12,13に接していた部分が、フィルム部材12,1
3と接しなくなると、水素添加NBRゴム系からなるゴ
ム性部材17,18は、良好な耐熱性および反発弾性
(ゴム状弾性)を備えているので、その部分は元の形状
に速やかに復帰する。したがって、ゴム性部材17,1
8は、常に当初の特性、すなわち適正な圧着幅および圧
着力を持続する。
ちフィルム部材12,13の表面に、ゴム性部材17,
18の表面あらさが転写されるが、ゴム性部材17,1
8の表面は実質上鏡面状に処理されているため、縞模様
がなく平滑で光沢のあるラミネート鋼板16が形成され
る。
クリヤ部とフィルム部とインク部と接着剤部とから構成
されたが、熱溶着を利用してフィルム部材と鋼板(帯板
金属薄板部材)との圧着を行う場合においても、熱溶着
が行われる部分が圧延されるので、フィルム部材の表面
が均される。
装置によるラミネート部材と比較例として従来の装置に
よるラミネート部材とを比較した結果を示す。これらは
共に、ロール部材の直径を400ないし600mm、ゴ
ム性部材の厚さを5ないし10mm、圧着温度を100
ないし180℃に設定した装置により、同等の鋼板およ
びフィルム部材によるラミネート鋼板を形成した。

最大圧着力が15kgf/cm2 (1.5×106 N/
m2)以上、その中心線表面あらさが0.2μmに処理
された装置によれば、縞模様が認められなかった。
ゴムによるゴム性部材がその硬度が80で、その変形に
よる最大圧着力が15kgf/cm2 (1.5×106
N/m2 )以上、その中心線表面あらさが0.7μm程
度に処理された装置によれば、縞模様が確認された。な
お、シリコンゴムの表面あらさを0.7μmより平滑に
処理することはできなかった。
ム性部材の変形による最大圧着力との関係を調べた結
果、ロール部材に線圧を40〜80kgf/cm(3.
9×104 〜7.8×104 N/m)の間で付加したと
ころ、ゴム性部材の変形による最大圧着力は、15〜6
0kgf/cm2 (1.5×106 〜5.9×106 N
/m2 )の間で、前記線圧に比例するよう直線的に増大
した。すなわち、ロール部材に作用する線圧とゴム性部
材の変形による最大圧着力とが比例関係になっていた。

ロール部材の直径が400mmに設定された場合、およ
びゴム性部材の硬度が93、弾性率が941kgf/c
m2 (9.2×107 N/m2 )に調製され、ゴム性部
材の厚さが5mm、ロール部材の直径が400mm,5
00mm,600mmに設定された場合、およびゴム性
部材の硬度が86、弾性率が437kgf/cm
2 (4.3×107 N/m2 )に調製され、ゴム性部材
の厚さが10mm、ロール部材の直径が400mm,5
00mm,600mmに設定された場合について、それ
ぞれ確認された。
たゴム性部材の硬度が86以上、その弾性率が437k
gf/cm2 (4.3×107 N/m2 )以上に調製さ
れていれば、ゴム性部材の厚さやロール部材の直径を適
宜設定することにより、ゴム性部材の変形が適正に行わ
れるとともに、必要な圧着力が安定して得られることが
判明した。
おいて、さらに大きな圧着力を必要とする場合において
も、ゴム性部材の硬度およびゴムの厚さを適宜調製し
て、ゴム性部材の中心線平均あらさRaを0.2μm以
下に適宜処理すれば、ほぼ同等の見栄えを備えるラミネ
ート鋼板を製造することができる。
ート部材の形成装置によれば、ゴム性部材の変形による
圧着幅および圧着力が連続的に安定して得られ、また、
ゴム性部材の表面を平滑に処理することができるので、
縞模様が無いラミネート部材を製造することができる。

Claims (1)
- 【請求項1】 互いに積層するよう走行する帯状金属薄
板部材とフィルム部材とを、回転するロール部材をその
半径方向に押圧して加圧することにより、圧着させるラ
ミネート部材の形成装置において、 前記ロール部材の外周部が、水素添加ニトリルブタジエ
ン系のゴム材料を主成分とするゴム性部材から構成され
るとともに、このゴム性部材の日本工業規格によるショ
ア硬さが86以上に調製され、かつこのゴム性部材の外
周面の日本工業規格による表面あらさの中心線平均あら
さが0.2μm以下もしくは最大高さが2μm以下に処
理されていることを特徴とするラミネート部材の形成装
置。
