Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、非揮発性不溶性シリコーンゴム、特にジメ
チコノールゴムを含む、すすぎ洗い式（リンスオフ）ヘ
アコンディショニング組成物に関する。
ヘアコンディショニング剤として高粘度ゴムを用いる
ことは公知であり、適当なゴムが米国特許第4874416号
（Spitzer）に記載されている。高粘度ゴムは通常シク
ロメチコーンのような揮発性シリコーン中の溶液の形態
で用いられている。
乳化重合シリコーンが、米国特許第2891920号（Hyd
e）、同第3294725号（Findlay）及び同第3360491号（Ax
on）から公知である。
乳化重合ジメチルポリシロキサンマイクロエマルジョ
ンがEP0268982号（Toray）に記載されており、ジメチコ
ノール材料が実現性のある候補の１つである旨教示され
ている。
“Organofunctional Silicones for Personal Care A
pplications",Wendel,Samuel R.及びDiSapio,Alfred J.
Cosmetics＆Toiletries,第98巻、1983年５月,103−106
ページのような論文は、ヘア組成物にジメチコノールを
使用することから離れた教示をしている。
ジメチコノールは、例えば乳化重合などのような種々
の方法で製造し得る。
シリコーン油は水性エマルジョンの形態でヘアコンデ
ィショニング組成物に加えられることが多い。通常これ
らのエマルジョンは油を機械的に剪断して形成される。
化学的乳化により形成される場合もあるが、該方法は、
乳化重合とは異なるものであり、本発明の予期せぬ利点
が得られない。
従来技術のヘアコンディショニング組成物の問第点
は、コンディショニングが不十分であったり、又は高粘
度ゴムを使用するための製造上の困難が伴うという点に
ある。後者の問題点は、ゴム用溶媒を用いることにより
部分的な解決を見たが、そのような溶媒は消費者に好ま
れず、且つゴムのコンディショニング特性に影響を及ぼ
す。
本発明により、アニオン界面活性剤を実質的に含まな
いヘアコンディショニング組成物が提供され、該組成物
は： （ａ）カオチン界面活性剤約0.05〜約５重量％、 （ｂ）式： HO−Si（CH3）２−Ｏ−［Si（CH3）２−Ｏ−］nSi（CH3）２−OH ［式中、ｎは、200,000を超える分子量になるように270
0以上である］ を有する乳化重合ジメチコノール非イオンコンディショ
ニングポリマー0.01〜10重量％、及び （ｃ）水 からなる。
アニオン界面活性剤を実質的に含まないとは、該組成
物が１％未満のアニオン界面活性剤しか含まないことを
意味する。
該組成物がさらに、約0.2〜約20重量％の長鎖脂肪ア
ルコールを含むのが好ましい。
ジメチコノールポリマー平均粒径が20ミクロン未満で
あるのが好ましく、２ミクロン未満であればなお好まし
い。粒径が小さいと、シャンプー中のシリコーン濃度が
同じであってもシリコーンコンディショニング剤が毛髪
上により均一に配分され得る。
ポリマーは橋かけしていてもよい。ジメチコノールの
粘度が１〜20×106センチストークスの範囲であるのが
有利である。というのは、粘度が高くなるにつれ、シリ
コーンから得られるコンディショニング効果が増大する
からである。
カオチン界面活性剤は0.1〜１重量％の量で存在する
のが好ましい。モノー、ジー及びトリーアルキル置換第
四級アンモニウムカオチン界面活性剤を用いても、エト
キシル化第四級アンモニウムカオチン界面活性剤を用い
てもよい。適当なカオチン界面活性剤には、セチルトリ
メチルアンモニウムクロリド、ベヘニルトリメチルアン
モニウムクロリド、ステアリルジメチルベンジルアンモ
ニウムクロリド、セチルピリジニウムクロリド及びCTFA
呼称を与えられている材料:Quaternium−５、Quaterniu
m−31、Quaternium−18及びその混合物が含まれる。好
ましいカオチン界面活性剤は、セチルトリメチルアンモ
ニウムクロリド及びベヘニルトリメチルアンモニウムク
ロリドである。
長鎖脂肪アルコールは、14〜22個、好ましくは16〜20
個の炭素原子を含む脂肪アルキル又はアルケニル鎖を有
していてよい。カオチン界面活性剤と共に用いるのに特
に適したアルコールは、セチルアルコールとステアリル
アルコールの混合物である。該組成物は、好ましくは0.
5〜10重量％、最も好ましくは１〜５重量％の長鎖脂肪
アルコールを含む。
該組成物はさらに、任意の非イオン及び両性界面活性
剤を含み得る。
本発明組成物に用いるのに適した非イオン界面活性剤
は、脂肪族（C8−C16）第１級若しくは第２級直鎖若し
くは分技鎖アルコール又はフェノールと、アルキレンオ
キシド、通常はエチレンオキシド、一般的には６−30EO
との縮合物を含み得る。
他の適当な非イオン界面活性剤には、モノー若しくは
ジーアルキルアルカノールアミド又はアルキルポリグル
コシドが含まれる。その例としては、ココモノ若しくは
ジエタノールアミド、ココモノイソプロパノールアミド
及びココジグルコシドが含まれる。
本発明組成物に用いるのに適した両性界面活性剤は、
アルキル基とアシル基が８〜18個の炭素原子を有する、
アルキルアミンオキシド、アルキルベタイン、アルキル
アミドプロピルベタイン、アルキルスルホベタイン、ア
ルキルグリシネート、アルキルカルボキシグリシネー
ト、アルキルアンフォプロピオネート、アルキルアミド
プロピルヒドロキシスルタイン、アシルタウレート及び
アシルグルタメートが含まれ得る。その例としては、ラ
ウリルアミンオキシド、ココジメチルスルホプロピルベ
タイン及び好ましくはラウリルベタイン、ココカミドプ
ロピルベタイン及びナトリウムコカンフォプロピオネー
トが挙げられる。
該組成物はさらに、他の微量成分、例えば、抗菌剤、
増泡剤、真珠光沢剤、香料、染料、着色剤、保存剤、増
粘剤、タンパク質、ポリマー、リン酸エステル及び緩衝
剤をも含み得る。
本発明はさらに、コンディショニング剤として200,00
0を超える分子量及び１×106センチストークスを超える
粘度を有する不溶性シリコーンを含むコンディショニン
グ組成物の製造法をも包含し、該方法は、シリコーンを
1000cps未満の粘度を有するエマルジョンにする段階、
次いで該エマルジョンを他の成分と混合する段階からな
る。エマルジョンが40重量％を超えるシリコーンを含ん
でいるのが好ましい。
好ましい方法においては、シリコーンを乳化重合す
る。というのは、そのような材料は粒径が小さく、しか
も高粘度が得られるからである。
ジメチコノールシリコーンが特に好ましい。ジメチコ
ノールシリコーンはそのまま用いてもよいし、さらにメ
チル基で末端修飾してもよい。
本発明を以下の実施例を参照して詳細に説明する。
表１に詳記されている組成物を用いて同一のヘアピー
スを処理し、次いで経験の深い回答者による一連の複数
比較テストにかけた。コンディショニングの利点を最も
よく示すと考えられる２つの特性は：（ａ）さらさらし
た梳き易さ及び（ｂ）乾燥後の毛髪の滑らかな感触であ
る。いずれの場合においても、シリコーンコンディショ
ニング剤を含まない比較例Ａとの比較を行った。従来技
術のシリコーンコンディショニング剤の機械的エマルジ
ョンを含む比較例Ｂは統計的に有意な差を示さなかった
のに対し、本発明の組成物は全て比較例Ａより統計的に
好ましいものであった。これらの比較テストから、本発
明に従い、本発明の方法で製造された組成物から、機械
的シリコーンエマルジョン組成物Ｂより優れた結果が得
られると結論し得る。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】アニオン界面活性剤を実質的に含まないリ
    ンスオフヘアコンディショニング組成物があって、 （ａ）カチオン界面活性剤0.05〜５重量％、 （ｂ）式： HO−Si（CH3）２−Ｏ−［Si（CH3）２−Ｏ−］nSi（CH3）２−OH 〔式中、ｎは2,700より大きい〕 を有する乳化重合ジメチコノール非イオンコンディショ
    ニングポリマー0.01〜10重量％、及び （ｃ）水 からなる前記組成物。
  2. 【請求項２】ジメチコノールポリマーの平均粒径が20ミ
    クロン未満である、請求項１に記載の組成物。
  3. 【請求項３】ジメチコノールポリマーの平均粒径が２ミ
    クロン未満である、請求項２に記載の組成物。
  4. 【請求項４】ジメチコノールの粘度が１〜20×106セン
    チストークスの範囲である、請求項１に記載の組成物。
  5. 【請求項５】0.2〜20重量％のC14-22アルコールをさら
    に含む、請求項１から４のいずれか一項に記載の組成
    物。
  6. 【請求項６】カオチン界面活性剤が、セチルトリメチル
    アンモニウムクロリド及びベヘニルトリメチルアンモニ
    ウムクロリドからなる群から選択される、請求項１から
    ５のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
  7. 【請求項７】カオチン界面活性剤と、コンディショニン
    グ剤として200,000を超える分子量及び1,000,000センチ
    ストークスを超える粘度を有する不溶性シリコーンとを
    含む請求項１に記載のリンスオフヘアコンディショニン
    グ組成物の製造法であって、シリコーンを1000cps未満
    の粘度を有するエマルジョンにする段階、次いで該エマ
    ルジョンをカオチン界面活性剤を含む他のコンディショ
    ナー成分と混合する段階からなる前記方法。
  8. 【請求項８】エマルジョンが、40重量％を超えるシリコ
    ーンを含む、請求項７に記載の方法。
  9. 【請求項９】シリコーン乳化重合ジメチコノールであ
    る、請求項７又は８に記載の方法。
