Abstract
上述のような技術的特徴を有する本発明のボタン型二次電池は、上部缶と下部缶内でスウェリング部材が電解液を吸収して体積が膨張するため、電極組立体に伝達される外部衝撃を緩衝することができる。これにより、電極組立体の破損を防止し、二次電池の耐久性をより増加させることができる。
Description
図2は、下部缶10内に空間部Cが形成された様子が図示されている縦断面図であり、図3は、下部缶C内にスウェリング部材40が結合した電極組立体1が搭載された様子が示されている縦断面図である。
この実施形態において、前記電極組立体1に少なくとも二つ以上の複数個のスウェリング部材40が結合する構成を提供する。

Claims (10)
- 下部缶に電極組立体が搭載されると、上部缶が前記下部缶に結合するボタン型二次電池であって、
負極、セパレータ、正極が積層された状態で巻き取られた電極組立体と、
前記電極組立体が搭載され、前記電極組立体が搭載される空間以外に、余分の空間として空間部が形成される下部缶と、
前記下部缶に前記電極組立体が搭載され、電解液が注入された状態で前記下部缶を閉鎖するように前記下部缶と結合する上部缶と、
前記電極組立体の外面に結合した状態で前記下部缶内に搭載されるスウェリング部材とを含み、
前記スウェリング部材は、前記電解液が注入されると、前記電解液を吸収し、前記空間部内で体積が膨張する、ボタン型二次電池。 - 前記下部缶は、平たい下面部の周縁に沿って上側に形成された第1側壁部と、前記第1側壁部の端部から直径が次第に拡張する形状に形成された第1傾斜部と、前記第1傾斜部の端部から前記第1側壁部と平行をなす方向に延びた第1末端部とを含み、
前記上部缶は、平たい上面部の周縁に沿って下側に形成され、前記第1末端部と平行な第2側壁部と、前記第2側壁部の端部から直径が次第に狭くなるように形成され、前記第1傾斜部と平行な第2傾斜部と、前記第2傾斜部の端部から前記第1側壁部と平行をなすように延びた第2末端部とを含む、請求項1に記載のボタン型二次電池。 - 前記空間部は、前記第1傾斜部、前記第1末端部、前記上面部および前記電極組立体の側面を境界として形成される、請求項2に記載のボタン型二次電池。
- 前記第1側壁部と前記第2末端部との間、前記第1傾斜部と前記第2傾斜部との間および前記第1末端部と前記第2側壁部との間には、前記上部缶と前記下部缶との接触を防止し、電気絶縁性を有するガスケットが配置される、請求項2または請求項3に記載のボタン型二次電池。
- 前記ガスケットの端部は、前記第2末端部から突出して外部に露出する、請求項4に記載のボタン型二次電池。
- 前記スウェリング部材は、少なくとも二つ以上の複数個が前記電極組立体に付着されている、請求項1から請求項5のいずれか一項に記載のボタン型二次電池。
- 前記スウェリング部材のいずれか一つは、他の一つとは膨張した体積が相違する、請求項6に記載のボタン型二次電池。
- 前記スウェリング部材はスウェリングテープであり、前記スウェリングテープは、前記電極組立体の周縁を巻くように結合する、請求項1から請求項7のいずれか一項に記載のボタン型二次電池。
- 前記スウェリング部材が前記空間部内で膨張が完了した時に、前記空間部内には余剰空間が形成される、請求項1から請求項8のいずれか一項に記載のボタン型二次電池。
- 請求項1から請求項9のいずれかに一項に記載のボタン型二次電池の複数個が互いに並列または直列に連結されて構成される、二次電池モジュール。
