実施例1.クリップを適用するための外科用装置であって、外科用装置は、ハウジングから延在する細長いシャフトと、細長いシャフトから延在するエンドエフェクタと、カートリッジと、圧着駆動装置と、記憶データを含むRFIDタグと、質問信号をRFIDタグに送信し、質問信号に応答してRFIDタグから第1の信号を受信するように構成されたRFIDスキャナと、RFIDスキャナと通信するコントローラと、を備える。エンドエフェクタは、第1のジョーと、第2のジョーと、を備え、第1のジョー及び第2のジョーは、開放位置と閉鎖位置との間で互いに対して移動可能である。カートリッジは、収容チャンバと、収容チャンバ内に取り外し可能に位置付けられた複数のクリップと、を備える。圧着駆動装置は、圧着ストローク中に第1のジョー及び第2のジョーを閉鎖位置へと移動させるように構成されており、複数のクリップのうちの1つは、圧着ストローク中に患者の組織の周囲に圧着される。RFIDタグ上の記憶データは、カートリッジ内の複数のクリップのうちの少なくとも1つの識別特性に関連する。第1の信号は、RFIDタグ上の記憶データを含む。コントローラは、RFIDスキャナで受信した記憶データを、コントローラのメモリに記憶された適合性データセットと比較すること、及びRFIDスキャナで受信した記憶データに基づいて外科用装置の動作パラメータを変化させること、を行うように構成されている。
実施例1.細長いシャフトと、発射駆動装置と、細長いシャフトから遠位に延在するエンドエフェクタと、を備える、外科用縫合システムであって、エンドエフェクタは、針トラックと、針トラックによって誘導され、発射ストロークを介して発射駆動装置によって作動される、交換可能な針と、を備え、交換可能な針は、取り付けられた縫合材と、記憶データを含むRFIDタグと、を備える。外科用縫合システムは、RFIDスキャナを更に備え、RFIDスキャナは、記憶データを含むRFIDタグから信号を受信し、信号は、記憶データを示す。外科用縫合システムは、RFIDスキャナと通信するコントローラを更に備え、コントローラは、RFIDスキャナで受信した記憶データに基づいて、交換可能な針と外科用縫合システムとの間での適合性を判定すること、交換可能な針が外科用縫合システムと適合性がないと、外科用縫合システムが発射ストロークを実行することを阻止すること、を行うように構成されている。

第2のジョーと、を備え、前記第1のジョー及び前記第2のジョーが、開放位置と閉鎖位置との間で互いに対して移動可能である、エンドエフェクタと、
カートリッジであって、
収容チャンバと、
前記収容チャンバ内に取り外し可能に位置付けられた複数のクリップと、を備える、カートリッジと、
圧着ストローク中に前記第1のジョー及び前記第2のジョーを前記閉鎖位置へと移動させるように構成された圧着駆動装置であって、前記複数のクリップのうちの1つは、前記圧着ストローク中に患者の組織の周囲に圧着される、圧着駆動装置と、
記憶データを含むRFIDタグであって、前記RFIDタグ上の前記記憶データは、前記カートリッジ内の前記複数のクリップのうちの少なくとも1つの識別特性に関連する、RFIDタグと、
前記RFIDタグに質問信号を送信し、前記質問信号に応答して前記RFIDタグから第1の信号を受信するように構成されたRFIDスキャナであって、前記第1の信号は、前記RFIDタグ上の前記記憶データを含む、RFIDスキャナと、
前記RFIDスキャナと通信するコントローラであって、前記コントローラは、
前記RFIDスキャナで受信した前記記憶データを、前記コントローラのメモリに記憶された適合性データセットと比較すること、及び
前記RFIDスキャナで受信した前記記憶データに基づいて、前記外科用装置の動作パラメータを変化させること、を行うように構成されている、コントローラと、を備える、外科用装置。
(2) 前記コントローラは、前記カートリッジが前記外科用装置で使用するのに適合すると前記コントローラが判定すると、前記変化させた動作パラメータを使用して前記外科用装置が前記圧着ストロークを実行することを許可するように更に構成されている、実施態様1に記載の外科用装置。
(3) 前記コントローラは、前記コントローラが前記外科用装置で使用するのに適合するものとして前記カートリッジを認識できないと、前記外科用装置が前記圧着ストロークを実行することを阻止するように更に構成されている、実施態様1に記載の外科用装置。
(4) 前記コントローラは、前記RFIDスキャナで受信した前記記憶データ及び前記メモリに記憶された前記適合性データセットに基づいて、前記外科用装置の前記動作パラメータを変化させるように構成されている、実施態様1に記載の外科用装置。
(5) 前記RFIDタグ上の前記記憶データは、前記カートリッジ内に収容されたクリップの数を含む、実施態様1に記載の外科用装置。
(7) 前記RFIDタグ上の前記記憶データは、前記カートリッジ内に位置付けられた前記複数のクリップのサイズを含む、実施態様1に記載の外科用装置。
(8) 前記動作パラメータは最大負荷閾値である、実施態様1に記載の外科用装置。
(9) 前記動作パラメータはロックアウト負荷閾値であり、前記ロックアウト負荷閾値を超えた場合、前記コントローラは、前記外科用装置が前記圧着ストロークを実行することを阻止する、実施態様1に記載の外科用装置。
(10) 電動モータと、電源と、を更に備え、前記電源は前記電動モータに電力を供給し、前記コントローラは、前記RFIDスキャナで受信した前記記憶データに基づいて前記電動モータに供給される前記電力を変化させるように構成されている、実施態様1に記載の外科用装置。
(12) 前記RFIDタグは、前記複数のクリップのうちの1つの上に位置付けられている、実施態様1に記載の外科用装置。
(13) 前記RFIDタグは、前記圧着ストローク中に屈曲しない、前記クリップの部分に位置付けられている、実施態様12に記載の外科用装置。
(14) クリップを適用するための外科用装置であって、前記外科用装置は、
ハウジングから延在する細長いシャフトと、
前記細長いシャフトから延在するエンドエフェクタであって、前記エンドエフェクタは、
第1のジョーと、
第2のジョーと、を備え、前記第1のジョーは、開放位置と閉鎖位置との間で前記第2のジョーに対して移動可能である、エンドエフェクタと、
RFIDタグを備えるクリップであって、前記RFIDタグは記憶データを含み、前記RFIDタグ上の前記記憶データは前記クリップを表す、クリップと、
圧着ストローク中に前記第1のジョー及び前記第2のジョーを前記閉鎖位置へと移動させるように構成された圧着駆動装置であって、前記クリップは、前記圧着ストローク中に患者の組織の周囲に圧着される、圧着駆動装置と、
前記RFIDタグ上の前記記憶データを受信するように構成されたRFIDスキャナと、
前記RFIDスキャナと通信するコントローラであって、前記コントローラは、
前記RFIDスキャナで受信した前記記憶データを適合性データセットと比較することによって、前記クリップが前記外科用装置で使用するのに適合するかどうかを判定すること、
前記クリップが前記外科用装置で使用するのに適合すると前記コントローラが判定すると、前記外科用装置が機能を実行することを許可すること、及び
前記クリップが前記外科用装置で使用するのに適合しないと前記コントローラが判定すると、前記外科用装置が前記機能を実行することを阻止すること、を行うように構成されている、コントローラと、を備える、外科用装置。
(15) 前記コントローラは、前記RFIDスキャナで受信した前記記憶データが前記適合性データセット内で見出されないと、前記クリップが前記外科用装置で使用するのに適合しないと判定する、実施態様14に記載の外科用装置。
(17) 電動モータと、電源と、を更に備え、前記電源は前記電動モータに電力を供給するように構成されており、前記コントローラは、前記RFIDタグから受信した前記記憶データに基づいて前記電動モータの動作条件を変化させるように構成されている、実施態様14に記載の外科用装置。
(18) 前記RFIDタグは、前記圧着ストローク中に屈曲しない、前記クリップの部分に位置付けられている、実施態様14に記載の外科用装置。
(19) 前記クリップは、内面と、外面と、を備え、前記内面は、前記圧着ストローク後に前記患者の前記組織と接触し、前記RFIDタグは、前記クリップの前記外面に位置付けられている、実施態様14に記載の外科用装置。
(20) クリップを適用するための外科用装置であって、前記外科用装置は、
ハウジングから延在する細長いシャフトと、
前記細長いシャフトから延在するエンドエフェクタであって、前記エンドエフェクタは、
第1のジョーと、
第2のジョーと、を備え、前記第1のジョー及び前記第2のジョーが、開放位置と閉鎖位置との間で互いに対して移動可能である、エンドエフェクタと、
カートリッジであって、

記憶データを含むRFIDタグであって、前記RFIDタグ上の前記記憶データは、前記カートリッジ内の前記複数のクリップの識別特性に関連する、RFIDタグと、
前記RFIDタグと通信するように構成されたRFIDスキャナであって、前記RFIDスキャナは、前記RFIDタグから前記記憶データを受信するように構成されている、RFIDスキャナと、
前記RFIDスキャナと通信するコントローラであって、前記コントローラは、
前記RFIDスキャナで受信した前記記憶データを真正性データセットと比較すること、
前記複数のクリップが真正であると前記コントローラが判定すると、前記外科用装置が前記圧着ストロークを実行することを許可すること、及び
前記複数のクリップが真正ではないと前記コントローラが判定すると、前記外科用装置が前記圧着ストロークを実行することを阻止すること、を行うように構成されている、コントローラと、を備える、外科用装置。
Claims (20)
- クリップを適用するための外科用装置であって、前記外科用装置は、
ハウジングから延在する細長いシャフトと、
前記細長いシャフトから延在するエンドエフェクタであって、前記エンドエフェクタは、
第1のジョーと、
第2のジョーと、を備え、前記第1のジョー及び前記第2のジョーが、開放位置と閉鎖位置との間で互いに対して移動可能である、エンドエフェクタと、
カートリッジであって、
収容チャンバと、
前記収容チャンバ内に取り外し可能に位置付けられた複数のクリップと、を備える、カートリッジと、
圧着ストローク中に前記第1のジョー及び前記第2のジョーを前記閉鎖位置へと移動させるように構成された圧着駆動装置であって、前記複数のクリップのうちの1つは、前記圧着ストローク中に患者の組織の周囲に圧着される、圧着駆動装置と、
記憶データを含むRFIDタグであって、前記RFIDタグ上の前記記憶データは、前記カートリッジ内の前記複数のクリップのうちの少なくとも1つの識別特性に関連する、RFIDタグと、
前記RFIDタグに質問信号を送信し、前記質問信号に応答して前記RFIDタグから第1の信号を受信するように構成されたRFIDスキャナであって、前記第1の信号は、前記RFIDタグ上の前記記憶データを含む、RFIDスキャナと、
前記RFIDスキャナと通信するコントローラであって、前記コントローラは、
前記RFIDスキャナで受信した前記記憶データを、前記コントローラのメモリに記憶された適合性データセットと比較すること、及び
前記RFIDスキャナで受信した前記記憶データに基づいて、前記外科用装置の動作パラメータを変化させること、を行うように構成されている、コントローラと、を備える、外科用装置。 - 前記コントローラは、前記カートリッジが前記外科用装置で使用するのに適合すると前記コントローラが判定すると、前記変化させた動作パラメータを使用して前記外科用装置が前記圧着ストロークを実行することを許可するように更に構成されている、請求項1に記載の外科用装置。
- 前記コントローラは、前記コントローラが前記外科用装置で使用するのに適合するものとして前記カートリッジを認識できないと、前記外科用装置が前記圧着ストロークを実行することを阻止するように更に構成されている、請求項1に記載の外科用装置。
- 前記コントローラは、前記RFIDスキャナで受信した前記記憶データ及び前記メモリに記憶された前記適合性データセットに基づいて、前記外科用装置の前記動作パラメータを変化させるように構成されている、請求項1に記載の外科用装置。
- 前記RFIDタグ上の前記記憶データは、前記カートリッジ内に収容されたクリップの数を含む、請求項1に記載の外科用装置。
- 前記RFIDタグ上の前記記憶データは、前記カートリッジ内の前記複数のクリップを構成する材料の種類を含む、請求項1に記載の外科用装置。
- 前記RFIDタグ上の前記記憶データは、前記カートリッジ内に位置付けられた前記複数のクリップのサイズを含む、請求項1に記載の外科用装置。
- 前記動作パラメータは最大負荷閾値である、請求項1に記載の外科用装置。
- 前記動作パラメータはロックアウト負荷閾値であり、前記ロックアウト負荷閾値を超えた場合、前記コントローラは、前記外科用装置が前記圧着ストロークを実行することを阻止する、請求項1に記載の外科用装置。
