式中、Bは塩基であり、ROHはアルコールである。この滴定は、2つの基本形態、すなわち容量滴定及び電量滴定として実行される。

Claims (10)
- 2成分カールフィッシャー滴定用の試薬組成物であって、前記試薬組成物は、
(1) 二酸化硫黄又はその誘導体と、
(2) 以下の構造を有するイミダゾールの誘導体であって、
(3) アルコールと、
(4) 前記試薬組成物の総重量に基づいて、ゼロ超及び最大約10重量パーセントの量で存在する、少なくとも1つのアミノ酸と、を含み、
前記二酸化硫黄又はその誘導体に対する前記イミダゾールの誘導体のモル比は、1:1超である、試薬組成物。 - 前記少なくとも1つのアミノ酸は、プロリンである、請求項1に記載の試薬組成物。
- 前記プロリンは、前記試薬組成物の総重量に基づいて、ゼロ超及び最大約15重量パーセントの量で存在する、請求項2に記載の試薬組成物。
- 前記プロリンは、前記試薬組成物の総重量に基づいて、約0.1~約2重量パーセントの量で存在する、請求項2に記載の試薬組成物。
- 前記プロリンは、前記試薬組成物の総重量に基づいて、約0.2~約0.5重量パーセントの量で存在する、請求項2に記載の試薬組成物。
- 前記二酸化硫黄又はその誘導体は、前記試薬組成物の約0.05~約1モル/リットルの量で存在し、
前記イミダゾールの誘導体は、2-エチルイミダゾールであり、前記試薬組成物の約0.5~約5モル/リットルの量で存在し、
前記少なくとも1つのアミノ酸は、前記試薬組成物の総重量に基づいて、約0.2~約0.5重量パーセントの量で存在し、
前記アルコールは、メタノール及び/又はエタノールである、請求項1に記載の試薬組成物。 - 前記二酸化硫黄又はその誘導体は、前記試薬組成物の約0.05~約1モル/リットルの量で存在し、
前記イミダゾールの誘導体は、2-エチルイミダゾールであり、前記試薬組成物の約0.5~約5モル/リットルの量で存在し、
前記少なくとも1つのアミノ酸は、前記試薬組成物の総重量に基づいて、約0.1~約2重量パーセントの量で存在し、
前記アルコールは、メタノール及び/又はエタノールである、請求項1に記載の試薬組成物。 - カールフィッシャー滴定を介して試料中の水の量を決定するための方法であって、前記方法は、
A. 前記試料を準備する工程と、
B. 試薬組成物を準備する工程であって、前記試薬組成物は、
(1) 二酸化硫黄又はその誘導体と、
(2) 以下の構造を有するイミダゾールの誘導体であって、
(3) アルコールと、
(4) 前記試薬組成物の総重量に基づいて、ゼロ超及び最大約10重量パーセントの量で存在する、少なくとも1つのアミノ酸と、
(5) 任意選択的にヨウ素(I2)と、を含み、
前記二酸化硫黄又はその誘導体に対する前記イミダゾールの誘導体のモル比は、1:1超である、試薬組成物を準備する工程と、
C. 前記試薬組成物を用いて前記試料を滴定する工程と、を含む、方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つのアミノ酸は、プロリンである、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 1成分カールフィッシャー滴定用の試薬組成物であって、前記試薬組成物は、
(1) 二酸化硫黄又はその誘導体と、
(2) 以下の構造を有するイミダゾールの誘導体であって、
(3) アルコールと、
(4) 前記試薬組成物の総重量に基づいて、ゼロ超及び最大約10重量パーセントの量で存在する、少なくとも1つのアミノ酸と、
(5) ヨウ素(I2)と、を含み、
前記二酸化硫黄又はその誘導体に対する前記イミダゾールの誘導体のモル比は、1:1超である、試薬組成物。
