Abstract
Description
Claims (14)
- 炭化ケイ素のマトリックスに炭化ケイ素の長繊維を複合化した長繊維強化炭化ケイ素材料で形成され、内外を隔てる壁部分の肉厚が特定寸法であり、核燃料を収容する燃料被覆管本体と、
少なくとも炭化ケイ素を含む材料で形成され、内外を隔てる壁部分の肉厚が前記特定寸法の1.2倍以上、2.5倍以下であり、前記燃料被覆管本体の開口部を閉塞する端栓と、
を備える、
燃料被覆管。 - 前記開口部を前記端栓により閉塞した状態で前記燃料被覆管本体と前記端栓が重なる部分の肉厚が、前記特定寸法の1.2倍以上、2.5倍以下である、
請求項1に記載の燃料被覆管。 - 前記燃料被覆管本体と前記端栓のそれぞれにネジが形成され、前記端栓が前記燃料被覆管本体に螺合される、
請求項1または請求項2に記載の燃料被覆管。 - 前記開口部を前記端栓により閉塞した状態で前記燃料被覆管本体と前記端栓が重なる部分の隙間が中間材で封止される、
請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の燃料被覆管。 - 前記燃料被覆管本体と前記端栓が重なる部分の対向面にメタライズが施され、このメタライズが施された範囲に、前記開口部を前記端栓により閉塞した状態で前記燃料被覆管本体と前記端栓が重なる部分の隙間を封止する金属ろう材の中間材が進入される、
請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の燃料被覆管。 - 前記燃料被覆管本体の形状が、筒形状を成し、前記燃料被覆管本体の片方の端部または両方の端部に設けられた前記開口部が前記端栓で閉塞される、
請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の燃料被覆管。 - 前記端栓の形状が、前記燃料被覆管本体の端部の外周を覆う外栓形状と、前記開口部よりも内側に設けられる内栓形状と、前記開口部に嵌り込むとともに前記開口部の端部を覆う中栓形状と、のうちの少なくともいずれか1つである、
請求項6に記載の燃料被覆管。 - 前記開口部を前記端栓により閉塞した状態で前記燃料被覆管本体と前記端栓が重なる部分の隙間を封止する中間材は、
シリケート系、またはフォスフェート系の金属アルコキシドを用いた無機接着剤と、
ポリカルボシラン、ポリカルボシラザン、またはポリオルガノボロシラザンのセラミック前駆体ポリマーと、
フェノール樹脂を用いたカーボン接着剤と、
銀ろう、金ろう、白金ろう、パラジウムろう、りん銅ろう、またはニッケルろうの金属ろう材と、
ガラス、シリコン、または金属酸化物の無機ろう材と、
のうちの少なくともいずれか1つを含む、
請求項1から請求項7のいずれか1項に記載の燃料被覆管。 - 前記開口部を前記端栓により閉塞した状態で前記燃料被覆管本体と前記端栓が重なる部分の隙間を封止する中間材は、
シリケート系、またはフォスフェート系の金属アルコキシドを用いた無機接着剤と、
ポリカルボシラン、ポリカルボシラザン、またはポリオルガノボロシラザンのセラミック前駆体ポリマーと、
30~60wt%の炭化ケイ素の添加材と、
を含む、
請求項1から請求項7のいずれか1項に記載の燃料被覆管。 - 前記端栓が、炭化ケイ素のマトリックスに炭化ケイ素の長繊維を複合化した長繊維強化炭化ケイ素材料で形成される、
請求項1から請求項9のいずれか1項に記載の燃料被覆管。 - 内外を隔てる壁部分の肉厚が特定寸法であり、核燃料を収容する燃料被覆管本体を、炭化ケイ素のマトリックスに炭化ケイ素の長繊維を複合化した長繊維強化炭化ケイ素材料で形成するステップと、
内外を隔てる壁部分の肉厚が前記特定寸法の1.2倍以上、2.5倍以下である端栓を、少なくとも炭化ケイ素を含む材料で形成するステップと、
前記端栓で前記燃料被覆管本体の開口部を閉塞するステップと、
を含む、
燃料被覆管における開口部の閉塞方法。 - 前記燃料被覆管本体と前記端栓が重なる部分の隙間の近傍に中間材を配置するステップと、
前記中間材を溶かして毛細管現象によって前記隙間に前記中間材を進入させるステップと、
を含む請求項11に記載の燃料被覆管における開口部の閉塞方法。 - 前記燃料被覆管本体と前記端栓が重なる部分の隙間を封止する金属ろう材の中間材の進入範囲に予めメタライズを施すステップを含む、
請求項11または請求項12に記載の燃料被覆管における開口部の閉塞方法。 - 化学気相蒸着法と化学気相浸透法との少なくともいずれかの方法を用いて前記燃料被覆管本体または前記端栓を形成する、
請求項11から請求項13のいずれか1項に記載の燃料被覆管における開口部の閉塞方法。
