Abstract
Description
種々の組成を有する薄ガラスは、透明性、高い化学的耐性および耐熱性、および定義された化学的特性および物理的特性が重要である多くの用途のために適した基材材料である。例えば、無アルカリガラスは、ディスプレイパネルのために、およびウェハ形式における電子的なパッケージング材料として使用され得る。アルカリ含有シリケートガラスは、フィルタコーティング基材、タッチセンサ基材および指紋センサモジュールのカバーのために使用される。
ガラス物品: ガラス物品は、任意の大きさのものであってよい。例えばそれは、巻かれた長い超薄のガラスリボン(ガラスロール)、大きいガラスシート、ガラスロールからもしくはガラスシートから切り出されたより小さいガラス部材、または単独の小さいガラス物品(例えばFPSまたはディスプレイのカバーガラス)等であってよい。
本発明は、第1の表面と、第2の表面と、第1の表面からガラス物品内の第1の深さ(DoL)まで及ぶ圧縮応力領域とを有する、厚さ(t)0.4mm未満の、化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品を提供し、前記領域は圧縮応力(CS)により規定され、第1の表面における表面CSは少なくとも100MPaである。ガラス物品は、少なくともガラス物品の厚さ(t(mm))に200を乗じた数値の破壊高さ(mmで与えられる)を有する。破壊高さはペン落下試験で決定され、この試験において、ガラス物品は、その第2の表面で、厚さ50μmのポリエチレン(PE)材料の層と厚さ50μmの感圧接着剤(PSA)材料の層とからなる厚さ100μmの基材に取り付けられ、第2の表面は、PSA層と接触し、ガラス物品が取り付けられた基材は、剛性を有する支持体の上に置かれ、ガラス物品の第1の表面が上向きにされ、その後、直径300μmの炭化タングステン製のボールペン先を有する4.5gのペンで破壊されるまで衝撃が与えられる。さらに、本発明によるガラス物品は、ガラス物品の厚さ(t(mm))に100000を乗じ、その結果を第1の表面で測定された表面圧縮応力(MPa)の数値で除したものよりも小さい破壊曲げ半径(mmで与えられる)を有する。
a)ガラス物品が、上述したペン落下試験で≧200×tの破壊高さ(mmで与えられる)を有し(tは「mm」単位でのガラス物品のそれぞれの厚さの数値である)、かつ
b)その破壊曲げ半径(mmで与えられる)が<100000×t/CSである。ここで、tはガラス物品の厚さ(「mm」単位で与えられる)であり、CSは表面圧縮応力の数値(「MPa」単位で与えられる)である。つまり、後者の計算では、積が、ガラス物品の第1の表面でのそれぞれの表面圧縮強度(MPaで与えられる)に対応する数値で除される。
より大きいガラス物品(例えばガラスロールまたは大きいガラスシート)の場合には、ペン落下試験を使用して、破壊高さに関して複数のサンプルが測定される。このために、ランダムなサンプルのN値が取得される。Nは、統計的に保証された平均値を得るのに十分な高さである必要がある。好ましくは少なくとも20個、より好ましくは少なくとも30個のサンプルが試験される。サンプルの数は、試験するガラス物品のそれぞれのサイズに依存する。測定値は、ワイブル法を使用して統計的に評価される。ワイブル分布のB10値(すなわちサンプルの10%が破壊される時点の計算された高さ(mm))が決定され、これが請求項に記載の破壊高さを表すために採用される。

エッチング工程が、第1の表面でガラス物品の厚さを、好ましくは≦0.005mm、好ましくは≦0.004mm、好ましくは≦0.003mm、好ましくは≦0.002mm、より好ましくは≦0.001mm、および/または≧0.0002mm減じる酸またはアルカリによるエッチングを含む方法でもある。強化工程後のこのエッチングは、上に詳しく説明されている。
表1は、化学強化可能な直接熱間成型超薄ガラスのいくつかの典型的な実施形態(タイプ1〜5)の組成を示している。
50mmの長さと20mmの幅、および70mmの長さと20mmの幅を有し、0.05、0.07、0.1、0.145mmの厚さを有する、多数のガラスタイプ1〜5のサンプルを準備し、化学強化した。イオン交換後、強化サンプルを洗浄し、FSM6000で測定した。

化学強化後にエッチング処理を行ったガラスタイプ1の実施例は、エッチング処理なしの同じガラスタイプの比較例と比較して、ペン落下高さの増加を主に示す。ペン落下高さは、30%超から最大100%超上げることができる。例えば、厚さ0.05mmの実施例1のペン落下高さは、同じ厚さの比較例Aのペン落下高さよりも約40%高く、厚さ0.07mmの実施例4のペン落下高さは、同じ厚さの比較例Bのペン落下高さよりも約55%高い。実施例6は、さらにペン落下高さの増加が100%を超えることを示している。
50mmの長さと20mmの幅、および70mmの長さと20mmの幅を有し、0.07mmの厚さを有する、多数のガラスタイプ2のサンプルを準備し、化学強化した。異なるエッチング条件(表4)が採用されている。実施例7は1段階で強化した一方で、実施例8と9は2段階で強化した。イオン交換後およびエッチング後、サンプルを洗浄し、FSM6000で測定した。
50mmの長さと20mmの幅、および70mmの長さと20mmの幅を有し、0.07mmの厚さを有する、多数のガラスタイプ3のサンプルを準備し、化学強化した。異なるエッチング条件(表5)が採用されている。イオン交換後およびエッチング後、サンプルを洗浄し、FSM6000で測定した。上で詳しく説明したペン落下試験を用いて耐衝撃性を試験した。さらに、上述した2点曲げ法により破壊曲げ半径を測定した。各試験/実験において、各DoLの複数の30個のサンプルを、上述した通りに試験および評価した。表5にサンプル条件と実験結果を示す。
50mmの長さと20mmの幅、および70mmの長さと20mmの幅を有し、0.1mmの厚さを有する、多数のガラスタイプ4のサンプルを準備し、化学強化した。異なるエッチング条件(表6)が採用されている。イオン交換後およびエッチング後、サンプルを洗浄し、FSM6000で測定した。上で詳しく説明したペン落下試験を用いて耐衝撃性を試験した。さらに、上述した2点曲げ法により破壊曲げ半径を測定した。各試験/実験において、各DoLの複数の20個のサンプルを、上述した通りに試験および評価した。表6にサンプル条件と実験結果を示す。
50mmの長さと20mmの幅、および70mmの長さと20mmの幅を有し、0.145mmの厚さを有する、多数のガラスタイプ5のサンプルを準備し、化学強化した。異なるエッチング条件(表7)が採用されている。イオン交換後およびエッチング後、サンプルを洗浄し、FSM6000で測定した。上で詳しく説明したペン落下試験を用いて耐衝撃性を試験した。さらに、上述した2点曲げ法により破壊曲げ半径を測定した。各試験/実験において、各DoLの複数の20個のサンプルを、上述した通りに試験および評価した。表7にサンプル条件と実験結果を示す。
50mmの長さと20mmの幅、および70mmの長さと20mmの幅を有し、0.05mmおよび0.07mmの厚さを有する、多数のガラスタイプ1のサンプルをカットし、化学強化してからエッチングした。イオン交換後およびエッチング後、サンプルを洗浄し、FSM6000で測定した。異なるコーティングされた層(ポリマー層および/またはハードコーティング層)が第1の表面(トップコーティング)に積層/コーティングされている(表8)。第1の表面と第2の表面の両方にコーティングされた層を有するいくつかの実施例も準備した(実施例27を参照)。異なる厚さの異なるコーティングが行われた層のタイプを、異なる方法によりガラス物品に設けた:
ガラス物品を、バーコーティング法によって液体ポリイミド(PI)材料でコーティングし、その後、実施例22、24、および28については固化した。第1の表面にPI材料でコーティングした後、20μmのハードコーティング層(エポキシ−シロキサンハイブリッド材料)を、ロール・ツー・ロールコーティング法を使用してPI材料層の上に堆積させて、実施例28を生成した。
Claims (31)
- 第1の表面(2)と、第2の表面(3)と、前記第1の表面からガラス物品内の第1の深さ(DoL)まで及ぶ圧縮応力領域とを有する、厚さ(t)0.4mm未満の、化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品(1)であって、前記領域は、圧縮応力(CS)により規定され、前記第1の表面(2)における表面圧縮応力(CS)は、少なくとも100MPaであり、
− 前記ガラス物品(1)は、少なくとも前記ガラス物品の前記厚さ(t(mm))に200を乗じた数値の破壊高さ(mm単位で与えられる)を有し、前記破壊高さは、ペン落下試験で決定され、前記試験において、前記ガラス物品(1)は、その第2の表面(3)で、厚さ50μmのポリエチレン(PE)材料の層(5)と厚さ50μmの感圧接着剤(PSA)材料の層(6)とからなる厚さ100μmの基材(4)に取り付けられ、前記第2の表面(3)は、前記PSA層(6)と接触し、ガラス物品(1)が取り付けられた前記基材(4)は、剛性を有する支持体(7)の上に置かれ、前記ガラス物品(1)の前記第1の表面(2)が上向きにされて、直径300μmの炭化タングステン製のボールペン先を有する4.5gのペン(8)で破壊されるまで衝撃が与えられ、
− 前記ガラス物品(1)は、前記物品の前記厚さ(t(mm))に100000を乗じた結果を前記第1の表面で測定された前記表面圧縮応力(MPa)の数値で除したものよりも小さい、好ましくは前記ガラス物品(1)の前記厚さ(t(mm))に80000を乗じた結果を前記第1の表面で測定された前記表面圧縮応力(MPa)の数値で除したものよりも小さい、特に好ましくは前記ガラス物品(1)の前記厚さ(t(mm))に70000を乗じた結果を前記第1の表面で測定された前記表面圧縮応力(MPa)の数値で除したものよりも小さい、さらに好ましくは前記ガラス物品(1)の前記厚さ(t(mm))に60000を乗じた結果を前記第1の表面で測定された前記表面圧縮応力(MPa)の数値で除したものよりも小さい破壊曲げ半径(mmで与えられる)を有する、
化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品(1)。 - 前記ガラス物品(1)が、少なくとも前記ガラス物品の厚さ(t(mm))に300を乗じた数値の破壊高さ(mmで与えられる)を有する、請求項1記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- 前記ガラス物品(1)が、少なくとも前記ガラス物品の厚さ(t(mm))に150を乗じた数値のB10での破壊高さ(mmで与えられる)を有する、請求項1または2記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- 前記ガラス物品(1)が、≦0.33mm、≦0.25mm、≦0.21mm、≦0.18mm、≦0.15mm、≦0.13mm、≦0.1mm、≦0.08mm、≦0.07mm、≦0.05mm、≦0.03mm、≦0.01mm、および/または≧0.005mmの厚さを有する、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- 前記ガラス物品(1)が、強化後にエッチングにより≦0.005mm、好ましくは≦0.004mm、好ましくは≦0.003mm、好ましくは≦0.002mm、より好ましくは≦0.001mm、および/または≧0.0002mmの厚さを除去することによって生じる改質された第1の表面(2)を有する、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- 前記ガラス物品(1)が、対応する化学強化されてからエッチングされていないガラス物品と比較して、>20%、好ましくは>30%、より好ましくは>40%、より好ましくは>50%増加したペン落下高さを有する、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- 前記ガラス物品(1)が酸性溶液でエッチングされ、前記酸性溶液が、好ましくはHF、H2SO4、HNO3、HCl、およびNH4HF2の水溶液からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つである、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- 前記ガラス物品(1)がアルカリ性溶液でエッチングされ、前記アルカリ性溶液が、好ましくはLiOH、NaOH、およびKOHの水溶液からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つである、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- 前記ガラス物品(1)が、2MPa以上、さらに好ましくは28MPa以上、さらに好ましくは43MPa以上、さらに好ましくは66MPa以上、さらに好ましくは79MPa以上、さらに好ましくは100MPa以上の中心引張応力(CT)を有する、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- 前記ガラス物品(1)が、コーティング材料を含むコーティングされた層を少なくとも1つの表面に含む、請求項1から9までのいずれか1項記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- 前記ガラス物品(1)が、前記第1の表面上にコーティングされた層を含み、前記コーティングされた層は、t2≦(0.3−t)の厚さt2を有し、前記コーティングされたガラス物品は、少なくともコーティングされていないガラス物品の厚さに500を乗じた、好ましくは600を乗じた数値の破壊高さを有し、前記破壊高さは、ペン落下試験で決定され、前記試験において、前記ガラス物品(1)は、その第2の表面(3)で、厚さ50μmのポリエチレン(PE)材料の層(5)と厚さ50μmの感圧接着剤(PSA)材料の層(6)とからなる厚さ100μmの基材(4)に取り付けられ、前記第2の表面(3)は、前記PSA層(6)と接触し、ガラス物品(1)が取り付けられた前記基材(4)は、剛性を有する支持体(7)の上に置かれ、前記ガラス物品(1)の前記第1の表面(2)が上向きにされて、直径300μmの炭化タングステン製のボールペン先を有する4.5gのペン(8)で前記ガラス物品が破壊されるまで前記コーティングされた層に衝撃が与えられる、請求項10記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- 前記ガラス物品(1)が、ポリマー層を備えているかポリマー層の間に組み込まれており、前記ポリマー層が、シリコーンポリマー、ゾル−ゲルポリマー、ポリカーボネート(PC)、ポリエーテルスルホン、ポリアクリレート、ポリイミド(PI)、無機シリカ/ポリマーハイブリッド、シクロオレフィンコポリマー、ポリオレフィン、シリコーン樹脂、ポリエチレン(PE)、ポリプロピレン、ポリプロピレンポリ塩化ビニル、ポリスチレン、スチレン−アクリロニトリルコポリマー、熱可塑性ポリウレタン樹脂(TPU)、ポリメチルメタクリレート(PMMA)、エチレン−酢酸ビニルコポリマー、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリアミド(PA)、ポリアセタール、ポリフェニレンオキシド、ポリフェニレンサルファイド、フッ素化ポリマー、塩素化ポリマー、エチレン−テトラフルオロエチレン(ETFE)、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)、ポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)、ポリ塩化ビニリデン(PVDC)、ポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)、ポリエチレンナフタレート(PEN)、テトラフルオロエチレンから製造されたターポリマー、ヘキサフルオロプロピレンから製造されたターポリマー、およびフッ化ビニリデン(THV)もしくはポリウレタンから製造されたターポリマー、またはこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項10または11記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- 前記コーティングされた層が、熱硬化性反応樹脂、フェノプラスト、フェノールホルムアルデヒド樹脂、アミノプラスト、尿素ホルムアルデヒド樹脂、メラミンホルムアルデヒド樹脂、エポキシド樹脂、不飽和ポリエステル樹脂、ビニルエステル樹脂、フェナクリレート樹脂、ジアリルフタレート樹脂、シリコーン樹脂、架橋ポリウレタン樹脂、ポリメタクリレート反応樹脂、およびポリアクリレート反応樹脂、アクリル樹脂、アクリル−シロキサンハイブリッド、エポキシシロキサンハイブリッドからなる群から選択されるコーティング材料を含む、請求項10から12までのいずれか1項記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- ガラス物品(1)の少なくとも1つの端部が、少なくとも1つのコーティングされた層で被覆されている、請求項1から13までのいずれか1項記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- 前記ガラス物品(1)が、前記第2の表面(3)から前記ガラス物品内の第2の深さ(DoL)まで及ぶ第2の圧縮応力領域を有し、前記領域は、圧縮応力(CS)により規定され、前記第2の表面(3)における表面圧縮応力は、少なくとも100MPaであり、好ましくは、前記第2の表面(3)は、強化後にエッチングにより≦0.005mm、好ましくは≦0.004mm、好ましくは≦0.003mm、好ましくは≦0.002mm、より好ましくは≦0.001mm、および/または≧0.0002mmの厚さを除去することによって生じる改質された表面を有する、請求項1から14までのいずれか1項記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- 前記ガラス物品(1)の前記表面圧縮応力(CS)が、100MPa超、有利には200MPa以上、好ましくは300MPa以上、好ましくは400MPa以上、より好ましくは500MPa、さらに好ましくは600MPa以上、さらに好ましくは700MPa以上、同様に好ましくは800MPa以上である、請求項1から15までのいずれか1項記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品。
- 抵抗スクリーン用のカバーフィルム、ならびにディスプレイスクリーン、折りたたみ可能な/フレキシブルな電話、カメラ、ゲーム用ガジェット、タブレット、ラップトップ、TV、鏡、窓、航空機の窓、家具、および白物家電用の使い捨て保護フィルムとしての、請求項1から20までのいずれか1項記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品の使用。
- ディスプレイの基材およびカバー、壊れやすいセンサ、指紋センサモジュールの基材またはカバー、半導体のパッケージ、薄膜電池の基材およびカバー、折りたたみ可能なディスプレイ、カメラレンズのカバーの用途における、請求項1から20までのいずれか1項記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品の使用。
- a)目的のガラスの原材料の組成物を準備する工程、
b)前記組成物を溶融する工程、
c)板ガラスプロセスにおいてガラス物品を製造する工程、
d)前記ガラス物品を化学強化する工程、
e)前記ガラス物品の表面をエッチングする工程、および
f)任意選択的に、前記ガラス物品の少なくとも1つの表面をコーティング層でコーティングする工程、
を含む、請求項1から20までのいずれか1項記載の化学強化されてからエッチングされたガラス物品の製造方法であって、
前記エッチング工程が、前記第1の表面(2)で、前記ガラス物品(1)の厚さを、好ましくは≦0.005mm、好ましくは≦0.004mm、好ましくは≦0.003mm、好ましくはより好ましくは≦0.002mm、より好ましくは≦0.001mm、および/または≧0.0002mm減じる酸またはアルカリによるエッチングを含む、方法。 - 前記板ガラスプロセスが、ダウンドローもしくはリドローもしくはオーバーフローフュージョンプロセス、または化学的薄板化プロセスである、請求項23記載の方法。
- 前記化学強化工程が、前記ガラス物品または前記ガラス物品の一部を一価カチオンが含まれる塩浴の中に浸漬することを含むイオン交換プロセスを含む、請求項23または24記載の方法。
- 前記一価カチオンが、カリウムイオンおよび/またはナトリウムイオンである、請求項25記載の方法。
- 前記ガラス物品(1)または前記ガラス物品(1)の一部を、340℃〜480℃の温度の塩浴中に30秒〜48時間浸漬する、請求項25または26記載の方法。
- 化学強化が、2つの連続する強化工程を含み、第1の工程が第1の強化剤による強化を含み、第2の工程が第2の強化剤による強化を含む、請求項23から請求項27までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記第1の強化剤および前記第2の強化剤が、KNO3、NaNO3、および/もしくはこれらの混合物を含むか、またはこれらからなる、請求項28記載の方法。
- 前記酸エッチング材料が、HF、H2SO4、HNO3、HCl、NH4HF2、および有機酸からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つである、請求項23から29までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記アルカリエッチング材料が、LiOH、NaOH、KOH、およびNH4OHからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つである、請求項23から29までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
