- 前記(B)ULW−CBが、限定(i)〜(iii):(i)前記(B)ULW−CBが、前記BET窒素表面積試験方法によって測定された、40〜63m2/gのBET窒素表面積と、前記吸油量試験方法によって測定された、120〜150mL/100gのOANと、を有する、(ii)前記(B)ULW−CBが、前記BET窒素表面積試験方法によって測定された、120〜180m2/gのBET窒素表面積と、前記吸油量試験方法によって測定された、150〜175mL/100gのOANと、を有する、ならびに(iii)前記(B)ULW−CBが、(i)および(ii)の前記ULW−CBのブレンドである、のうちのいずれか1つによって特徴付けられる、請求項1に記載の半導電性複合材料。

- (C)プラストマー、(D)酸化防止剤、(E)有機過酸化物、(F)スコーチ遅延剤、(G)アルケニル官能性補助剤、(H)核形成剤、(I)加工助剤、(J)エキステンダー油、(K)安定剤(例えば、紫外線(UV)光に関連する劣化を抑制する化合物)から選択される少なくとも1種の添加剤からさらに本質的になる、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の半導電性複合材料。
- 異なる量の前記(B)ULW−CBを有するそれらの第1のシリーズの実施形態によって特徴付けられ、前記第1のシリーズが、体積抵抗率試験方法によって測定された33重量%の導電有効量で1.0log(オーム−センチメートル(オーム−cm))未満、および20重量%の導電有効量で4.5log(オーム−cm)未満、および15重量%の導電有効量で10.0log(オーム−cm)未満、および10重量%の前記導電有効量で16.5log(オーム−cm)未満、および5重量%の導電有効量で17.5log(オーム−cm)未満のlog(体積抵抗率)プロファイルを有し、前記(B)ULW−CBの導電有効量が、前記半導電性複合材料の総重量に基づく、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の半導電性複合材料。
- 前記(B)ULW−CBの異なる総BET N2表面積を有するそれらの第2のシリーズの実施形態によって特徴付けられ、前記第2のシリーズが、体積抵抗率試験方法によって測定された15.0〜20.0m2/gの複合物中のカーボンブラックの総BET N2表面積で2Log(オーム−cm)以下、および10.0〜15.0m2/gの複合物中のカーボンブラックの総BET N2表面積で4Log(オーム−cm)以下、および7.5〜10m2/gの複合物中のカーボンブラックの総BET N2表面積で10Log(オーム−cm)以下、および5.0〜7.5m2/gの複合物中のカーボンブラックの総BET N2表面積で16Log(オーム−cm)以下、および2.5〜5.0m2/gの複合物中のカーボンブラックの総BET N2表面積で17.1Log(オーム−cm)以下のlog(体積抵抗率)プロファイルを有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の半導電性複合材料。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の半導電性複合材料の作製方法であって、前記(B)超低湿潤性カーボンブラック(ULW−CB)を、前記(A)非極性ポリオレフィンポリマーの溶融物に混合して、成分(A)および(B)を含む溶融ブレンドとして、前記半導電性複合材料を得ることを含む、方法。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の半導電性複合材料を硬化させた生成物である架橋ポリエチレン生成物。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の、もしくは請求項10に記載の方法によって作製された半導電性複合材料、または請求項11に記載の架橋ポリエチレン生成物の成形形態を含む、製造物品。
- 導電性コアと、前記導電性コアを少なくとも部分的に被覆する半導電性層と、を含む導電体デバイスであって、前記半導電性層の少なくとも一部が、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の半導電性複合材料、請求項10に記載の方法によって作製された半導電性複合材料、または請求項11に記載の架橋ポリエチレン生成物を含む、デバイス。
- 電気の伝導方法であって、請求項13に記載の導電体デバイスの導電性コアにわたって電圧を印加して、前記導電性コアを通る電気の流動を発生させることを含む、方法。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の半導電性複合材料を、前記半導電性複合材料を170℃〜190℃に1〜5分間加熱することを含む熱サイクルに付し、次いで30℃に冷却して、冷却された熱サイクル半導電性複合材料を得ることによって作製された、熱サイクル半導電性複合材料。
