Abstract
Description
図1は従来の一般的な円筒型二次電池の垂直断面図である。
接着部の総重量を基準に、接着性物質としてエポキシ樹脂40重量%、伝導性物質として銀30重量%、及びガス発生物質として炭酸リチウム(Li2CO3)30重量%をNMPと混合して乾燥することでペースト状態の接着部を製造する。
前記製造された接着部を図4に示した構造を有する円筒型二次電池の陽極タブとキャップアセンブリーの下端に付け加えて陽極タブと電流遮断素子間の電気的連結を完成した。実験の正確性のために、同じ条件の二次電池5個を製造した。
前記実施例1において、伝導性物質である銀を40重量%使い、炭酸リチウムを20重量%使用した点を除き、前記実施例1と同様な方法でペースト状態の接着部を製造することで、前記接着部が設けられた円筒型二次電池5個を製造した。
図1に示した構造の円筒型二次電池を準備し、陽極タブとキャップアセンブリーが溶接で結合された構造の円筒型二次電池5個を製造した。
前記実施例1において、伝導性物質である銀を50重量%使い、炭酸リチウムを10重量%使用した点を除き、前記実施例1と同様な方法でペースト状態の接着部を製造することで、前記接着部が設けられた円筒型二次電池5個を製造した。
前記実施例1において、伝導性物質である銀を60重量%使い、ガス発生物質を使わない点を除き、前記実施例1と同様な方法でペースト状態の接着部を製造することで、前記接着部が設けられた円筒型二次電池5個を製造した。
接着部の抵抗測定
前記実施例1、2及び比較例1から3で製造された円筒型二次電池を使って二次電池の温度による抵抗変化量を測定し、その結果を図7に示した。

Claims (11)
- シート状の陽極及び陰極の間に分離膜が介在された状態で巻き取られた構造のゼリーロール型電極組立体と、
前記ゼリーロール型電極組立体を収容するための円筒状電池ケースと、
前記円筒状電池ケースの開放上端に装着されるキャップアセンブリーと、
を含み、
前記キャップアセンブリーの下端面は接着部を介して前記ゼリーロール型電極組立体の陽極タブと連結され、
前記接着部は、接着性物質、伝導性物質及びガス発生物質を含む、円筒型二次電池。 - 前記接着性物質は、ポリエステル樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、フェノール樹脂、ポリ酢酸ビニル、ポリビニルブチラール及びポリアクリル酸エステルからなる群から選択される1種以上からなる、請求項1に記載の円筒型二次電池。
- 前記伝導性物質は、金、銀、銅、アルミニウム及びこれらの合金、黒鉛、カーボンブラック、及び導電性纎維からなる群から選択される1種以上からなる、請求項1または2に記載の円筒型二次電池。
- 前記ガス発生物質は、炭酸リチウム(Li2CO3)、CaCO3、K2CO3、Na2CO3又はBaCO3である、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の円筒型二次電池。
- 前記ガス発生物質の含量は、前記伝導性物質の含量を基準に、20重量%超過〜100重量%の範囲で含まれる、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の円筒型二次電池。
- 前記円筒型二次電池の電圧増加の際に前記ガス発生物質の反応が開始して前記接着部が膨張し、伝導性物質が離隔して電流が遮断される、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の円筒型二次電池。
- 前記ガス発生物質の反応開始温度は前記接着性物質の溶融温度より低い、請求項6に記載の円筒型二次電池。
- 前記円筒型二次電池の電圧増加の際、前記接着性物質の溶融によって前記接着部の結合力が弱くなり、陽極タブがキャップアセンブリーから分離される、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の円筒型二次電池。
- 前記キャップアセンブリーは、ベンティング部材を含み、PTC素子が省略される構造を有し、前記キャップアセンブリーの下端にはベンティング部材が位置し、前記ゼリーロール型電極組立体は、前記省略されたPTC素子の厚さに相当する長さの分だけ延びる構造を有する、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の円筒型二次電池。
- 前記キャップアセンブリーのベンティング部材は、前記ガス発生物質の反応によって前記接着部の結合が弱くなる場合、形状が反転して陽極タブから分離される構造を有する、請求項9に記載の円筒型二次電池。
- 前記キャップアセンブリーは、ベンティング部材を含み、PTC素子及び電流遮断素子が省略される構造を有し、前記キャップアセンブリーの下端にはベンティング部材が位置し、前記ゼリーロール型電極組立体は、前記省略されるPTC素子及び電流遮断素子の厚さに相当する長さの分だけ延びる構造を有する、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の円筒型二次電池。
