Abstract
Description

Claims (18)
- 接続金属ノードにおいて接続された細長い金属繊維を含む金属マトリックスを含む多孔質焼結金属体であって、マトリックスが、
第1の焼結点を有する第1の金属材料を含む、接続金属ノード;
第1の焼結点より大きい第2の焼結点を有する、第2の金属材料の細長い金属繊維を含み;
接続金属ノードは、細長い金属繊維に融合して、接続金属ノードによって接続されかつ接続金属ノード間に延びる細長い金属繊維を含む、相互に接続された金属マトリックスを形成する、
多孔質焼結金属体。 - 30〜70重量パーセントの第1の金属材料、および
70〜30重量パーセントの金属材料
を含む、請求項1に記載の多孔質焼結金属体。 - 1重量パーセント未満の非金属材料を含む、請求項1または2に記載の多孔質焼結金属体。
- 第2の焼結点が、第1の焼結点より少なくとも200℃高い、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質焼結金属体。
- 第1の焼結点が530〜630℃の範囲である、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質焼結金属体。
- 第1の金属材料がニッケルまたはニッケル合金である、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質焼結金属体。
- 第2の金属材料がステンレス鋼である、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質焼結金属体。
- 70〜90パーセントの範囲の気孔率を有する、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質焼結金属体。
- 少なくとも0.30平方メートル/グラムの表面積(BET)を有する、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質焼結金属体。
- 膜が1ミリメートル未満である厚みを有する、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質焼結金属体。
- 閉じた円柱の形態である、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質焼結金属体。
- 閉じた円柱が、3〜10インチの範囲の長さ、0.75〜2インチの範囲の直径、および1〜2ミリメートルの範囲の厚みを有する、請求項11に記載の多孔質焼結金属体。
- 接続金属ノードにおいて接続された細長い金属繊維を含む金属マトリックスを形成する方法であって、
第1の焼結点を有する第1の金属材料の粉末金属粒子、第2の焼結点を有する第2の金属材料の細長い金属繊維粒子を含み、第2の焼結点は第1の焼結点を上回る、金属粒子のブレンドを提供すること;および
第1の焼結点を上回る温度でブレンドを焼結させて、粉末金属材料を焼結させ、粉末金属粒子を焼結させることによって形成された接続金属ノードにおいて接続された細長い金属繊維を含む、金属マトリックスを形成すること
を含む、金属マトリックスを形成する方法。 - ブレンドを型に配置すること;
ブレンドを型の中でプレスすること、および
ブレンドを型の中で焼結させること
を含む、請求項13に記載の方法。 - 金属材料のブレンドが、型に配置される前に1立方センチメートル当たり0.5グラム未満の見掛け密度を有する、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 第1の焼結点を有する粉末金属粒子;および
第2の焼結点を有する第2の金属材料の細長い金属繊維粒子
を含む金属材料のブレンドであって、第2の焼結点は第1の焼結点を上回り、ブレンドは1立方センチメートル当たり0.6グラム未満の見掛けの密度を有する、金属材料のブレンド。 - 細長い金属繊維が、1〜3ミクロンの範囲の直径、および少なくとも25:1のアスペクト比(長さ:幅)を有する、請求項16に記載のブレンド。
- 金属粉末が、1〜3ミクロンの範囲を有する金属粒子を含む、請求項16または17に記載のブレンド。
