本出願は、2010年1月22日に出願された「Method and Apparatus For Exercise Monitoring Combining Exercise Monitoring and Visual Data With Wireless Internet Connectivity」と題する米国特許出願第12/692,080号(現在は米国特許第8,712,510号)の一部継続出願である。この一部継続出願は、2007年1月3日に出願された「Method and Apparatus For Health and Disease Management Combining Patient Data Monitoring With Wireless Internet Connectivity,」と題する米国特許第11/649,355号(現在は放置)の一部継続出願であり、この一部継続出願は、2005年7月17日に出願された「"Method and Apparatus For Health and Disease Management Combining Patient Data Monitoring With Wireless Internet Connectivity,」と題する米国特許第11/156,177号(現在は米国特許第7,156,809号)の一部係属出願であり、この一部係属出願は、2004年2月6日に出願された米国特許第10/773,501号(現在は米国特許第6,976,958号)の一部係属出願である。それぞれの先行出願の全体は参照によって本明細書に組み込まれている。
本出願は、例えば運動中等の生体のモニタリングに関し、より具体的には、測定又は入力される運動データがモバイル通信デバイスによってインターネットへ及びインターネットから通信される、人の運動モニタリングに関する。
以下に、特定のタイプのアダプタハードウェアの説明を与える。上記のように、任意選択でアダプタを使用してHMDをWIDに接続してもよい。
Claims (13)
- モバイルインターネットデバイスを使用して運動をモニタリングする方法において、前記モバイルインターネットデバイスは、人に携行されるよう構成され、キーボード、タッチスクリーン又はユーザ入力用の音声処理技術、デジタルカメラ、及び該デジタルカメラによってキャプチャされる画像を含むデータ若しくは画像のためのディスプレイを含み、前記モバイルインターネットデバイスは、ネットワークと無線通信で接続され、当該方法は、
運動中に測定される生理学的データである第1のタイプのデータを受け取り、GPSデバイス、加速度計又はタイマーから、実行される運動作業の定量的な量である第2のタイプのデータを更に受け取るステップと;
運動中に前記デジタルカメラによってキャプチャされる視覚画像を表す、第3のタイプのデータを受け取るステップであって、前記視覚画像が前記運動中の写真又はビデオ画像を含む、ステップと;
前記第1、第2又は第3のタイプのデータを前記モバイルインターネットデバイス上に表示するステップと;
を含む、方法。 - 非一時的コンピュータ読取可能媒体上に存在し、モバイルインターネットデバイスにダウンロード可能であり、前記モバイルインターネットデバイスに請求項1に記載の方法を実行させる命令を含む、コンピュータプログラム。
- 運動をモニタリングするためのシステムにおいて、
人に携行されるよう構成されるモバイルインターネットデバイスを備え、該モバイルインターネットデバイスは:
キーボード、タッチスクリーン又はユーザ入力を受け取るための音声処理技術、一体型のデジタルカメラ、及び運動モニタリングデバイスへの接続を提供する汎用ポートと;
1つ以上のインターネットサーバとの対話的無線接続を提供する通信ポートと;
グラフィクス、写真及びビデオクリップを含む視覚画像を表示するためのユーザインタフェースを提供するための命令を格納する、非一時的コンピュータ読取可能媒体と;
を含み、
前記非一時的コンピュータ読取可能媒体が、
運動中に測定される生理学的データである第1のタイプのデータを受け取り、実行される運動作業の定量的な量である第2のタイプのデータを受け取るステップと;
前記運動作業が実行された時間の間に前記デジタルカメラによってキャプチャされた視覚画像を表す、第3のタイプのデータを受け取るステップと;
前記生理学的データを測定する前記第1のタイプのデータ、前記実行された運動作業の定量的な量を測定する前記第2のタイプのデータ及び前記視覚画像を表す前記第3のタイプのデータを、1つ以上のインターネットサーバに伝送するステップと;
を含む方法を実行するための命令を更に有し、
1つ以上のインターネットサーバ上に存在する非一時的コンピュータ読取可能媒体であって、
前記生理学的データである前記第1のタイプのデータを受け取り、実行される運動作業の定量的な量である前記第2のタイプのデータを受け取り、前記モバイルインターネットデバイスから視覚画像を表す前記第3のタイプのデータを受け取るステップと、
前記第1、第2又は第3のタイプのデータを処理するステップと;
前記処理されたデータを、応答として前記モバイルインターネットデバイスに伝送するステップと;
を含む方法を実行するためにサーバアプリケーションを定義する命令を有する非一時的コンピュータ読取可能媒体を備え、その結果、無線インターネットデバイスの非一時的コンピュータ読取可能媒体は、前記無線インターネットデバイスに、前記処理されたデータを受け取って前記無線インターネットデバイスのユーザインタフェース上に表示させる命令を更に有する、

請求項3に記載のシステム。 - 1つ以上のインターネットサーバへの対話的無線接続を提供する前記通信ポートは、様々な802.11、他のIEEEファミリーのプロトコル、セルラ又は他のRFプロトコルから選択されるプロトコルを用いる無線リンクを提供するように構成される、

運動中に測定される生理学的データである第1のタイプのデータを受け取り、GPSデバイス、加速度計又はタイマーから、実行される運動作業の定量的な量である第2のタイプのデータを更に受け取るステップと;
運動中に前記デジタルカメラによってキャプチャされた視覚画像を表す、第3のタイプのデータを受け取るステップであって、前記視覚画像が前記運動中の写真又はビデオ画像を含む、ステップと;
前記第1、第2又は第3のタイプのデータを前記モバイルインターネットデバイス上に表示するステップと;
前記第1、第2又は第3のタイプのデータを1つ以上のインターネットサーバに伝送するステップと;
