Abstract
Description
本出願は、2016年7月29日に出願された欧州特許出願第EP16382377.6号に対する優先権を主張するものであり、参照によりその全体が本明細書に組み込まれる。
以下の実施例のそれぞれについて、押し出し機、1つ以上のロードセルに結合された測定ロール、冷却ロール、一対のニップロール、ウェブ張力調整装置、および巻上器を含めた溶融張力システムを提供した。押し出し機は、少なくとも2つの圧力機構と、2層ポリマーフィルムに2つのポリマーを同時押し出しするように適合されたスロットダイを含めた。次いで、溶融張力システムを、以下の手順に従って較正した。
以下の実施例1において、以前に説明した溶融張力システムを使用して、様々な同時押し出し2層ポリマーフィルムの溶融強度を測定した。
以下の実施例2において、溶融張力システムを使用して、LDPEおよびLLDPEの比率を変動させた複数のポリマーブレンド物のそれぞれについて、溶融張力を測定した。いくつかのポリマーブレンド物は、特に溶融張力において、それらが相加的であるという性質を示し、これは、ブレンド物の性質が個々のポリマーの性質の加重平均にほぼ等しく、その結果、性質とブレンド物中のポリマーの重量比とが概して直線関係になることを意味する。しかしながら、LDPEおよびLLDPEのブレンド物等のいくつかのポリマーブレンド物は、相乗効果を示すことが知られており、ポリマーブレンド物の溶融張力等の性質は、ポリマーの組み合わせによって高められる。相乗効果の結果、これらのブレンド物の性質は、直線状から大きく逸脱することが予期される。上で論じた溶融張力システムを使用して取得したLDPE/LLDPEポリマーブレンド物の様々な組成の測定した溶融張力を、溶融張力との間の計算した直線関係と比較して、LDPEおよびLLDPEをポリマーブレンド物に組み合わせることの相乗効果を識別した。
以下の実施例3では、組成および構成が同一の試料を同じ溶融張力システムおよび方法を使用して調製し、試験して、システムを使用した結果の再現性を決定した。実施例3の試料は、実施例1および2と関連して上で説明したプロセスに従って、ダウ(商標)LDPE320およびDOWLEX(商標)2103から調製された。実施例3で使用したLDPEおよびLLDPEは、実施例1および2で使用した材料と異なる製造ロット番号のものであった。

1つ以上のポリマーを押し出して、溶融したポリマーフィルムを形成するように適合された押し出しダイを有する押し出し機と、
前記押し出し機の下流に位置付けられた測定ロールであって、前記測定ロールが、そこに結合された1つ以上のロードセルを有し、前記1つ以上のロードセルが、前記溶融したポリマーフィルムによって前記測定ロールに及ぼされた力を測定する、測定ロールと、
前記測定ロールの下流に位置付けられた冷却ロールであって、駆動機構に動作的に結合され、前記溶融したポリマーフィルムを冷却して、前記ポリマーフィルムを生成する、冷却ロールと、
前記冷却ロールの下流に位置付けられた少なくとも2つのニップロールと、
前記少なくとも2つのニップロールの下流に位置付けられた巻き取りロールと、を備え、
前記システムが、前記ポリマーフィルムが進行する経路を画定し、前記経路が、前記ポリマーフィルムと、前記測定ロール、前記冷却ロール、前記少なくとも2つのニップロール、および前記巻き取りロールと接触させる、ポリマーフィルムの溶融強度を決定するためのシステム。 - 前記押し出しダイが、多層ポリマーフィルムを同時押し出しするように適合されたスロットダイである、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記測定ロールが、前記溶融したポリマーフィルムへの前記測定ロールの接着を低減させるように改質された表面を有する、請求項1〜2のいずれかに記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも2つのニップロールの下流に位置付けられた張力調整装置をさらに備える、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のシステム。
- 前記経路が、前記押し出しダイのリップから、前記溶融したポリマーフィルムが前記測定ロールに最初に接触する地点まで垂直である、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のシステム。
- ポリマーフィルムの溶融強度を決定するための方法であって、前記方法が、
請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のシステムを提供することと、
前記溶融したポリマーフィルムを押し出すことと、
単層または多層を有する前記溶融したポリマーフィルムを、前記押し出し機から前記巻き取りロールへの前記経路を通過させることと、
前記溶融したポリマーフィルムと前記測定ロールとの接触によって生じる、前記1つ以上のロードセルに及ぼされた力を測定することと、を含む、方法。 - ポリマーフィルムの溶融強度を決定するための方法であって、前記方法が、
1つ以上のポリマーを押し出して、前記ポリマーフィルムを形成することと、
前記ポリマーフィルムを、力測定装置に結合された測定ロールの周りを少なくとも部分的に通過させ、前記測定ロールの下流の冷却ロールの周りを少なくとも部分的に通過させ、そして、前記冷却ロールの下流の2つのニップロールの間の画定されたニップを通過させることであって、前記ポリマーフィルムが、前記測定ロールに少なくとも部分的に接触するときに、部分的または完全に溶融したポリマーフィルムである、通過させることと、
前記力測定装置を使用して、前記ポリマーフィルムによって前記測定ロールに及ぼされた力を測定することと、を含む、方法。 - 前記ポリマーフィルムが、多層ポリマーフィルムである、請求項6および7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマーフィルムが、低密度ポリエチレンを含む、請求項6〜8のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ニップロールの下流に位置付けられた巻上器に前記ポリマーフィルムを巻回することをさらに含む、請求項6〜9のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記冷却ロールによって前記ポリマーフィルムを冷却することをさらに含む、請求項6〜10のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記冷却ロールを前記ポリマーフィルムの溶融温度未満の温度に維持することをさらに含む、請求項6〜11のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記冷却ロールの下流に位置付けられた張力調整装置を使用して、張力を前記ポリマーフィルムに印加することをさらに含む、請求項6〜12のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記力測定装置によって測定された前記溶融強度を記録することをさらに含む、請求項7〜13のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマーフィルムを押し出し、前記ポリマーフィルムが定常状態に到達するまで、前記ポリマーフィルムを、前記測定ロールの周りを通過させ、前記冷却ロールの周りを通過させ、そして、前記ニップを通過させることをさらに含み、前記ポリマーフィルムが前記定常状態である間に、前記測定ロールに及ぼされた前記力が、前記力測定装置によって測定される、請求項7〜14のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマーフィルムを連続的に押し出すことをさらに含む、請求項7〜15のいずれかに記載の方法。
