に対応し、式中、Rは、脂肪族基、芳香族基、又はそれらの混合物であり、zは、Rの価数に対応する整数であり、少なくとも2である。本明細書で企図される代表的な有機ポリイソシアネートとしては、例えば、芳香族ジイソシアネート、例えば2,4−トルエンジイソシアネート、2,6−トルエンジイソシアネート、2,4−及び2,6−トルエンジイソシアネートの混合物、粗トルエンジイソシアネート、メチレンジフェニルジイソシアネート、粗メチレンジフェニルジイソシアネート;芳香族トリイソシアネート、例えば4,4’,4’’−トリフェニルメタントリイソシアネート、2,4,6−トルエントリイソシアネート;芳香族テトライソシアネート、例えば4,4’−ジメチルジフェニルメタン−2,2’5,5−’テトライソシアネートなど;アリールアルキルポリイソシアネート、例えばキシレンジイソシアネート;脂肪族ポリイソシアネート、例えば、ヘキサメチレン−1,6−ジイソシアネート、リジンジイソシアネートメチルエステルなど;及びそれらの混合物が挙げられる。他の有機ポリイソシアネートとしては、ポリメチレンポリフェニルイソシアネート、水素化メチレンジフェニルイソシアネート、m−フェニレンジイソシアネート、ナフチレン−1,5−ジイソシアネート、1−メトキシフェニレン−2,4−ジイソシアネート、4,4’−ビフェニレンジイソシアネート、3,3’−ジメトキシ−4,4’−ビフェニルジイソシアネート、3,3’−ジメチル−4,4’−ビフェニルジイソシアネート、及び3,3’−ジメチルジフェニルメタン−4,4’−ジイソシアネートが挙げられる。典型的な脂肪族ポリイソシアネートは、アルキレンジイソシアネート、例えばトリメチレンジイソシアネート、テトラメチレンジイソシアネート、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート、イソホレン(isophorene)ジイソシアネート、4,4’−メチレンビス(シクロヘキシルイソシアネート)である。典型的な芳香族ポリイソシアネートとしては、m−及びp−フェニレンジイソシアネート、ポリメチレンポリフェニルポリイソシアネート、2,4−及び2,6−トルエンジイソシアネート、ジアニシジンジイソシアネート、ビトイレンイソシアネート、1,4−ジイソシアネート、ビス(4−イソシアナトフェニル)メテン、ビス(2−メチル−4−イソシアナトフェニル)メタンなどが挙げられる。好ましいポリイソシアネートは、ポリメチレンポリフェニルポリイソシアネート、特に約30〜約85重量%のメチレンビス(フェニルイソシアネート)を含有し、混合物の残りの部分が、2よりも高い官能性のポリメチレンポリフェニルポリイソシアネートである、混合物である。ある特定の場合、いわゆるイソシアネートプレポリマーもまた使用され得る。プレポリマーは、過剰なジイソシアネートをポリオール(ポリエステルポリオール、又はポリエーテルポリオール)と組み合わせることによって形成される。これらのポリイソシアネートは、当該分野において既知の従来の方法によって調製される。本発明では、ポリイソシアネート及びポリオールは、約0.9〜約5.0の範囲のNCO/OH化学量論比をもたらす量で用いられる。本発明では、NCO/OH当量比は、好ましくは、約0.9〜約4、又は約0.95〜約3である。好適な有機ポリイソシアネートとしては、ポリメチレンポリフェニルポリイソシアネート、メチレンビス(フェニルイソシアネート)、トルエンジイソシアネート、又はそれらの組み合わせが挙げられる。
本発明の相溶化剤の態様の非存在下であるが、HFO−1336mzzm(Z)の安定で均一な分布を形成するある特定のポリオールの能力を試験した。所定量のポリオールを3オンスのガラス圧力容器内に配置することによって、表1で識別される各ポリオールを試験し、ポリオールの高さ及び重量を記録した。各試験に対して、次いで、HFO−1336mzzm(Z)を含む表1で識別される各液体発泡剤を、容器内のポリオール及び発泡剤の総重量が70グラムで、容器内で5重量%の発泡剤及び95重量%のポリオールを生成する量で添加した。管アセンブリを密封し、ポリオール及び発泡剤構成成分の高さ及び重量を一緒に記録した。次いで、ポリオール中の発泡剤の均質な分布を得るために、構成成分を十分に混合した。液体の高さ及び構成成分の混合物の状態の目視観察を、試験温度に対して記録した。均質な混合物が生成された場合、すなわち、5重量%の濃度の発泡剤がポリオール中の目視観察によって均一に分布していた場合、この結果を、5重量%として、「重量%均一分布」と題する表2の列に記録した。いかなる試験に対しても、試料が視覚的に均質な混合物の存在を示さなかった場合、すなわち、相分離が観察された場合、各層の高さを記録し、この高さ並びにポリオール及び発泡剤に関する既知の密度情報に基づき、重量%でのポリオール中で均一に分布した発泡剤の量を報告した。試験を、室温(room temperature、RT)、32℃(90°F)、及び54℃(130°F)で実施した。
異なるクラスのポリエステルポリオール、具体的には芳香族カルボン酸無水物(フタル酸)ポリエステルポリオール(ポリオールF)、芳香族ポリエステルポリオール(ポリオールO)、芳香族ポリエステルポリオールジオール(ポリオールP)、及び直鎖脂肪族アジピン酸ジエチレングリコール系ポリエステルポリオール(ポリオールQ)中で均一に分布するHFO−1336mzzm(Z)の能力を、ある特定の相溶化剤が高めることができた程度を決定するための研究に着手した。
評価される27グラムのポリオールを大型バイアルに添加し、バイアル内のポリオールの高さを測定した。8グラムのHFO−1336mzzmをバイアルに添加し、液体の高さを測定した。バイアルを密封し、十分に混合した。分離層の高さを測定した(それは、溶液中で均一に分布しなかったHFO−1336mzzmである)。0.2グラムの相溶化剤をバイアルに添加した。バイアルを密封し、溶液を十分に混合した。バイアル内の層の高さを記録した。均一な溶液が得られるまで、追加の相溶化剤を溶液に添加した。次いで、量を記録した。表6は、結果を示す。
上記の表5A〜5Fで報告されたHFO−1336mzzm(Z)+ポリオール+UDAの混合物を、4〜6ヶ月の期間、周囲(室温)条件下で密封容器内に貯蔵して、長期安定性を評価した。発泡剤及びポリオール及び相溶化剤の均一な分布の形成の有無を、初期混合時及び4〜6ヶ月の期間の貯蔵時に目視観察によって報告した。表7A〜Cは、結果を示す。
上記の表7A〜7Cで報告されたHFO−1336mzzm(Z)+ポリオール+UDAの三元混合物を、1年の期間、周囲(室温)条件下で密封容器内に貯蔵して、長期安定性を評価した。発泡剤及びポリオール及び相溶化剤の均一な分布の形成の有無を、初期混合時及び1年の期間の貯蔵時に目視観察によって報告する。4〜6ヶ月において安定性を示した混合物は、1年において安定していることが観察される。
上記の表5A〜5Fで報告されたHFO−1336mzzm(Z)+UDA及びポリオール+UDAの二元混合物を、4〜6ヶ月及び1年の期間、周囲(室温)条件下で密封容器内に貯蔵して、長期安定性を評価する。発泡剤及び相溶化剤並びにポリオール及び相溶化剤の均一な分布の形成の有無を、4〜6ヶ月及び1年の期間の貯蔵時に目視観察によって報告する。二元混合物は、4〜6ヶ月及び1年において安定していることが観察される。
具体的にはブタンジオール、より具体的には1,4−ブタンジオールを含むアルカンジオール中で均一に分布するHFO−1336mzzm(Z)の能力を、ある特定の相溶化剤が高めることができる程度を決定するための研究に着手する。
ポリオールA、ポリオールB、ポリオールC、ポリオールE、ポリオールG、ポリオールH、ポリオールI、ポリオールK、ポリオールL、ポリオールM、ポリオールN、芳香族ポリエチレンテレフタレートポリオール、及びジプロピレングリコールポリオールとして識別されるポリオールの各々を除いて、ポリオールに対する上記の実施例4に報告された試験を繰り返す。初期混合時及び実施例2に示される貯蔵期間後の両方において、許容可能な結果が得られる。
ポリオールA〜Qとして識別されるポリオールの各々及びHFO−1233zd(E)を除くポリエステルテレフタレートポリオールを用いて、ポリオールに対する上記の実施例4に報告された試験を繰り返す。初期混合時及び実施例2に示される貯蔵期間後の両方において、許容可能な結果が得られる。
Claims (20)
- ポリオールプレミックス組成物であって、
ハロゲン化オレフィン発泡剤と、
ポリエステルポリオールと、
1〜40個の炭素原子を有する少なくとも1つの有機化合物を含む分布強化構成成分と、を含み、周囲条件下で4ヶ月の期間貯蔵された場合に実質的に均一な混合物のままである、安定で実質的に均一なブレンドを形成する前記ハロゲン化発泡剤及び前記ポリオールの能力を強化するのに有効な量で、前記少なくとも1つの有機化合物が前記プレミックス中に存在する、ポリオールプレミックス組成物。 - 前記分布強化構成成分が、1つ以上のヒドロキシル基と1〜25個の炭素原子とを有する、請求項1に記載のポリオールプレミックス組成物。

- 前記分布強化構成成分が、前記ポリオールプレミックス組成物の少なくとも1.7重量%の量で存在し、エタノール、メタノール、イソプロパノール、n−ブタノール、2−プロパノール、1ペンタノール、3−メチル−2−ブタノール、及び2−メチル−1−プロパノールのうちの1つ以上を含む、請求項11に記載のポリオールプレミックス組成物。
- 前記ポリエステルポリオール及び任意の追加のポリオールが、前記ポリオールプレミックス組成物の50重量%〜98重量%の量で存在し、前記ハロゲン化オレフィン発泡剤が、前記ポリオールプレミックス組成物の0.25重量%〜50重量%の量で存在し、前記分布強化構成成分が、前記ポリオールプレミックス組成物の0.01重量%〜10重量%の量で存在する、請求項8に記載のポリオールプレミックス組成物。
- 前記ポリエステルポリオール及び任意の追加のポリオールが、前記ポリオールプレミックス組成物の80重量%〜95重量%の量で存在し、前記ハロゲン化オレフィン発泡剤が、前記ポリオールプレミックス組成物の0.25重量%〜10重量%の量で存在し、前記分布強化構成成分が、前記ポリオールプレミックス組成物の0.01重量%〜10重量%の量で存在する、請求項8に記載のポリオールプレミックス組成物。
- 前記安定で実質的に均一な組成物が、周囲条件下で4ヶ月の期間貯蔵された場合に実質的に均一な混合物のままである、請求項8に記載のポリオールプレミックス組成物。
- ポリオールプレミックス組成物を形成する方法であって、
ポリエステルポリオールと、ハロゲン化オレフィン発泡剤と、1〜40個の炭素原子を有する少なくとも1つの有機化合物を含む分布強化構成成分とを組み合わせることを含み、安定で実質的に均一な組成物を形成する前記ハロゲン化オレフィン発泡剤及び前記ポリエステルポリオールの能力を強化するのに十分な量で、前記分布強化構成成分が前記ポリオールプレミックス組成物中に存在する、方法。 - 前記分布強化構成成分が、アルコール、グリコール、エーテル、アセタール、ベンゼン、ケトン、塩素系溶剤、カーボネート、溶剤、及び界面活性剤を含み、前記ハロゲン化オレフィン発泡剤が、シス−1,1,1,4,4,4−ヘキサフルオロブタ−2−エンを含む、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記安定で実質的に均一な組成物が、周囲条件下で4ヶ月の期間貯蔵された場合に実質的に均一な混合物のままである、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 有機ポリイソシアネートと請求項8に記載のポリオールプレミックス組成物との混合物を含む、発泡性組成物。
- 前記有機ポリイソシアネートが、ポリメチレンポリフェニルイソシアネート、メチレンビス(フェニルイソシアネート)、トルエンジイソシアネート、又はそれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項19に記載の発泡性組成物。
