Description
本出願は、2016年3月18日に出願された「スイング吸着プロセス用の装置及びシステム」と題された米国特許仮出願第62/310,289号の利益を主張し、その全体が引用により本明細書に組み込まれる。

Claims (22)
- ガス状供給ストリームから汚染物質を除去するためのサイクル式スイング吸着床ユニットであって、
内部領域を形成するハウジングであって、第1のヘッドと第2のヘッドとの間に固定された本体部分を有するハウジングと、
前記内部領域内に配置された吸着床と、
前記ハウジングに固定された複数の第1の弁と、を備え、
前記複数の第1の弁の各々は、前記ハウジングの外部位置から導管を通って前記吸着床まで延びる流路に沿った流体流れを制御するように構成され、前記複数の第1の弁の各々は、前記吸着床の境界面断面領域の外側に配置された弁断面領域を有している、
ことを特徴とするサイクル式スイング吸着床ユニット。 - 前記第2のヘッドに固定された複数の第2の弁を更に備え、
前記複数の第2の弁の各々は、前記ハウジングの外部位置から導管を通って前記吸着床まで延びる流路に沿った流体流れを制御するように構成され、前記複数の第2の弁の各々は、少なくとも部分的に前記吸着床の前記境界面断面領域内に配置された弁断面領域を有している、
請求項1に記載のサイクル式スイング吸着床ユニット。 - 前記吸着床の前記内部領域にデブリフォイルを通すように構成された保守ポートを含むキャッチ機構を更に備え、
前記キャッチ機構は、前記複数の第2の弁のうちの1つからデブリを逸らすように構成されている、
請求項2に記載のサイクル式スイング吸着床ユニット。 - 前記吸着床ユニットは、前記吸着床と前記複数の第1の弁との間に配置された流れ分配器を更に備えている、
請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項に記載のサイクル式スイング吸着床ユニット。 - 前記ハウジングは、5ポンド/平方インチ絶対圧(psia)〜1,400psiaの圧力を維持するように構成されている、
請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載のサイクル式スイング吸着床ユニット。 - 前記複数の第1の弁は各々、能動制御型弁である、
請求項1ないし5のいずれか1項に記載のサイクル式スイング吸着床ユニット。 - 前記複数の第1の弁は各々、マニホールドが配管される向きに配置された前記複数のマニホールドのうちの1つと流体連通する、
請求項1ないし6のいずれか1項に記載のサイクル式スイング吸着床ユニット。 - 前記吸着床と前記ハウジングとの間に配置されて、前記ハウジングと前記吸着床との間の流体流れを妨げるように構成されたバイパスシールを更に備えている、
請求項1ないし7のいずれか1項に記載のサイクル式スイング吸着床ユニット。 - 前記吸着床と前記ハウジングとの間に配置されて、前記吸着床を前記吸着床ユニット内に整列させるように構成された熱膨張リングを更に備えている、
請求項1ないし8のいずれか1項に記載のサイクル式スイング吸着床ユニット。 - 前記熱膨張リングが前記吸着床に溶接される、
請求項9に記載のサイクル式スイング吸着床ユニット。 - 前記第1のヘッド内に配置され、前記流体流を前記導管から前記吸着床に分配するように構成されたフローベーンを更に備えている、
請求項1ないし10のいずれか1項に記載のサイクル式スイング吸着床ユニット。 - 前記導管は、前記導管を通じて近プラグ流状態を維持するように前記導管を通る流れを導く1又は2以上の構造要素を備える、
請求項1ないし10のいずれか1項に記載のサイクル式スイング吸着床ユニット。 - 供給ストリームから汚染物質を除去するための方法であって、
(a)吸着床ユニットにおいて1又は2以上の吸着ステップを実行するステップを含み、前記1又は2以上の吸着ステップの各々は、
(i)供給入口導管から、前記吸着床ユニットのハウジングの内部領域に配置された吸着床へガス状供給ストリームを送るために少なくとも1つの第1のポペット弁を開くステップであって、前記少なくとも1つの第1のポペット弁は、前記供給入口導管と直接的に流れ連通して、前記ハウジングの外部位置から前記供給入口導管を通って前記吸着床に延びる流路に沿って流体流れを制御するように構成されるようにし、前記少なくとも1つの第1のポペット弁は、前記吸着床の境界面断面領域の外側に配置された第1の弁断面領域を有するようにするステップと、
(ii)前記ガス状供給ストリームを前記吸着床に曝して前記ガス状供給ストリームから1又は2以上の汚染物質を分離して、生成物ストリームを形成するステップと、
(iii)前記生成物ストリームを前記ハウジング内の前記内部領域から離れて生成物導管に導くように1又は2以上の生成物ポペット弁を開くステップと、を含み、
更に、
(b)1又は2以上のパージステップを実行するステップであって、1又は2以上のパージステップの各々が、パージストリームを前記吸着床ユニットに送って、パージ出力ストリーム中の前記1又は2以上の汚染物質の少なくとも一部を分離して導き、前記パージ出力ストリームが少なくとも1つの第2のポペット弁に通され、前記少なくとも1つの第2のポペット弁は、前記吸着床の境界面断面領域の外側に配置された第2の弁断面領域を有するステップと、
(c)少なくとも1つの追加サイクルにおいて前記ステップ(a)から(b)を繰り返すステップであって、サイクル持続時間が1秒を超えて600秒未満の期間であるステップと、を含む、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つの第1のポペット弁及び前記少なくとも1つの第2のポペット弁は、導管を介して前記吸着床と直接的に流体連通する、

請求項13に記載の方法。 - 前記複数の供給ポペット弁を前記開くステップは、前記吸着床と前記少なくとも1つの第1のポペット弁との間に配置された分流器を介して前記吸着床に前記ガス状供給ストリームを分配するステップを更に備える、
請求項13〜15のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つの第1のポペット弁を開くステップは、少なくとも1つの弁ステムを第1の作動機構と共に直線的に動かして、前記少なくとも1つの弁ステムに結合されたディスク要素と前記吸着床ユニットの一部分に固定された弁座との間に開口部を提供するステップを更に備える、
請求項13ないし16のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記サイクルを中断するステップと、
前記内部領域への開口部を露出させるために、前記少なくとも1つの第1のポペット弁及び前記少なくとも1つの第2のポペット弁の近くで前記吸着床ユニットからヘッドを取り外すステップと
前記内部領域から前記吸着床を取り外すステップと、を更に備え、
前記少なくとも1つの第1のポペット弁及び前記少なくとも1つの第2のポペット弁は、前記吸着床に結合されている、
