Claims (7)
- 複数本の素線で構成されている導体とこの導体が所定の長さにわたって露出するように前記導体を覆っている被覆とを備えた電線の複数本の素線同士を、アンビルとホーンとを用いて超音波接合する電線の導体の接合方法において、
前記アンビルと前記ホーンとで前記露出している導体の一部を所定の長さにわたって挟み込むとともに前記ホーンを超音波振動させて前記各素線同士の超音波接合をするときに、前記アンビルおよび前記ホーンと、前記電線の被覆との間の距離が、前記素線が1次モードで振動するときの長さよりも短くなっていることを特徴とする電線の導体の接合方法。 - 請求項1に記載の電線の導体の接合方法において、
前記超音波接合で形成される接合部と前記被覆で覆われている部位との間に位置している前記導体の中間部の外径が、前記被覆で覆われている部位から前記接合部に向うにしたがって、次第に小さくなっており、
前記接合部の上面もしくは前記電線の長手方向と前記導体の中間部の素線との交差角度の最大値が、所定の角度よりも小さくなっており、
前記所定の角度は、前記超音波接合をするときに前記素線の破断を防止する角度であることを特徴とする電線の導体の接合方法。 - 請求項2に記載の電線の導体の接合方法において、
前記アンビルと前記ホーンとには、前記導体の中間部のうちの前記接合部側の部位に所定の長さにわたって接する勾配面が形成されていることを特徴とする電線の導体の接合方法。 - 請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の電線の導体の接合方法において、
前記接合部が形成された後に、所定の速度を超える流速の流体を前記接合部に流すか、前記接合部に所定の大きさを超える加速度を加えるかの少なくともいずれかをすることで、前記接合部の接合状態を検査することを特徴とする電線の導体の接合方法。 - 請求項1〜請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の電線の導体の接合方法において、
前記素線同士の超音波接合をするときに、前記被覆の一部を保持することを特徴とする電線の導体の接合方法。 - 複数本の素線で構成されている導体とこの導体が所定の長さにわたって露出するように前記導体を覆っている被覆とを備えた電線において、
前記被覆から所定の距離だけ離れており、前記露出している導体の各素線同士が接合されている接合部と、
前記接合部と前記被覆との間に形成されている前記導体の中間部と、
を有し、前記中間部の長さ寸法の値が、前記接合部を形成したときの超音波振動によって前記素線が1次モードで振動する長さ寸法の値よりも小さくなっていることを特徴とする電線。 - 請求項6に記載の電線において、
前記接合部と前記被覆で覆われている部位との間に位置している前記導体の中間部の外径が、前記被覆で覆われている部位から前記接合部に向うにしたがって、次第に小さくなっており、
前記接合部の上面もしくは前記電線の長手方向と前記導体の中間部の素線との交差角度の最大値が、所定の角度よりも小さくなっており、
前記所定の角度は、前記超音波接合をするときに前記素線の破断を防止する角度であることを特徴とする電線。
