Claims (3)
- 第1の端子と、複数の画素電極が配置され、かつ、外部から照射される照明光を前記画素電極ごとに光変調する表示画素部とを有する液晶表示素子と、
第2の端子を有する配線基板と、
前記第1の端子と第1のボンディングにより接合され、前記第2の端子と第2のボンディングにより接合されて、前記液晶表示素子と前記配線基板とを接続するボンディングワイヤと、
前記ボンディングワイヤにおける前記第2の端子との接合部上に形成されたボンディング補強部材と、
前記液晶表示素子に対して前記照明光が照射される側に配置された遮光マスクと、
を備え、
前記液晶表示素子は、
前記第1の端子、及び、前記表示画素部を有する第1の基板と、
前記第1の基板に対して前記照明光が照射される側に所定の間隙を有して配置され、前記複数の画素電極と対向する対向電極を有する第2の基板と、
前記表示画素部の外周部に沿って形成され、前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板とを固定するシール材と、
前記所定の間隙に充填され、前記シール材により封止された液晶と、
を有し、
前記遮光マスクは、
前記表示画素部に対応する光透過領域を有し、
前記ボンディングワイヤは、アーチ形状を有し、かつ、前記ボンディングワイヤの頂部が前記第2の基板の上面よりも低くなるように形成されている
ことを特徴とする液晶表示デバイス。 - 前記ボンディング補強部材は、前記ボンディングワイヤにおける前記接合部との境界部を覆って前記接合部上に形成されている
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示デバイス。 - 第1の端子と複数の画素電極が配置され、かつ、外部から照射される照明光を前記画素電極ごとに光変調する表示画素部とを有する第1の基板と、前記第1の基板に対して前記照明光が照射される側に所定の間隙を有して配置され、前記複数の画素電極と対向する対向電極を有する第2の基板と、前記表示画素部の外周部に沿って形成され、前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板とを固定するシール材と、前記所定の間隙に充填され、前記シール材により封止された液晶とを備える液晶表示素子と、第2の端子を有する配線基板とを固定し、
ボンディングワイヤを第1のボンディングにより前記第1の端子に接合し、
前記ボンディングワイヤがアーチ形状を有し、かつ、前記ボンディングワイヤの頂部が前記第2の基板の上面よりも低くなるように、前記ボンディングワイヤを第2のボンディングにより前記第2の端子に接合し、
前記ボンディングワイヤにおける前記第2の端子との接合部上にボンディング補強部材を形成し、
前記表示画素部に対応する光透過領域を有する遮光マスクを、前記光透過領域が前記表示画素部に対して前記照明光が照射される側に位置するように、前記液晶表示素子に対して前記照明光が照射される側に配置する
ことを特徴とする液晶表示デバイスの製造方法。
