Claims (8)
- 電解質膜の両側に電極が配設されてなる電解質膜・電極構造体と、前記電解質膜・電極構造体の両側に配設されたセパレータと、を備える燃料電池であって、
前記セパレータには、
電極面に沿って水平方向に反応ガスを流通させる反応ガス流路と、
前記反応ガス流路の水平方向の一端に連通し、前記電解質膜・電極構造体と前記セパレータとの積層方向に前記反応ガスを流通させる反応ガス供給連通孔と、
前記反応ガス流路の水平方向の他端に連通し、前記積層方向に前記反応ガスを流通させる反応ガス排出連通孔と、が設けられ、
前記反応ガス排出連通孔は、
上側反応ガス排出連通孔と、
前記上側反応ガス排出連通孔の下方に位置する下側反応ガス排出連通孔と、を含み、
前記セパレータは、前記上側反応ガス排出連通孔及び前記下側反応ガス排出連通孔の中央に位置する中点が前記反応ガス流路の重力方向の中心よりも下方に位置するように構成されている、
ことを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、
前記反応ガス流路は、水平方向に延在するとともに重力方向に並んだ複数の反応ガス流路溝を有し、
前記下側反応ガス排出連通孔を構成する底面の少なくとも一部は、最下方に位置する前記反応ガス流路溝を構成する底面よりも下方に位置している、
ことを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項2記載の燃料電池において、
前記下側反応ガス排出連通孔を構成する前記底面の全体は、最下方に位置する前記反応ガス流路溝を構成する底面よりも下方に位置している、
ことを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項2又は3に記載の燃料電池において、
前記下側反応ガス排出連通孔を構成する上面は、最下方に位置する前記反応ガス流路溝を構成する底面よりも上方に位置している、
ことを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項2〜4のいずれか1項に記載の燃料電池において、
前記下側反応ガス排出連通孔を構成する前記底面は、水平方向に対して傾斜している、
ことを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の前記燃料電池が複数積層された積層体を備える、
ことを特徴とする燃料電池スタック。 - 請求項6記載の燃料電池スタックにおいて、
前記上側反応ガス排出連通孔における前記反応ガスの流通方向とは反対側の端部と前記下側反応ガス排出連通孔における前記反応ガスの流通方向と反対側の端部とを互いに連結する連結流路が設けられている、
ことを特徴とする燃料電池スタック。 - 請求項7記載の燃料電池スタックにおいて、
前記連結流路に連通して前記連結流路内の生成水を外部に排出させるためのドレンが設けられている、
ことを特徴とする燃料電池スタック。
